"ACK! No. What the--?"

Scrabble, scrabble, scrabble.

"Get away! Leave me alone!"

Pitter pitter pitter pitter pitter pitter pitter patter SNAP!

"GLADYS!"

The wooden box with the -- "Hundreds of legs, Gladys. Did you see them?!" -- was eventually encouraged to return to the Sorting Engine.

The Post Office was open.

Karal had handwavily heard that the creature in the woods had been banished. It was a great relief, but he was still disturbed.

Rather than sit in his alcove and brood over it, he'd saddled Trenor and brought him down to the beach for a run. His mane was whipping along Karal's cheek as he leaned forward and urged him faster, until they were almost flying across the sand. As they approached a driftwood log, he collected him, rose in his stirrups, and they soared over it, landing neatly on the other side.

"Good, Trenor. Good boy," he said as he reined him in, slowing to a trot, then a walk, and he smiled up into the sky as he patted Trenor's neck. Everything was simpler on the back of a horse.

[ooc: open of course, as t'is a beach!]

Mary had forgotten how difficult Gunther could be sometimes. They had argued over the menu for brunch from the moment Mary arrived in the kitchen. In the end, they had compromised on a spread of German and American traditional breakfast foods with brotchen, apple pancakes, various types of sausage, cold cuts and cheeses, and yogurt as well as omelets made-to-order. There was also coffee, tea, orange juice and sparkling grape juice. Mary insisted on hash browns and Gunther refused to make them until Mary suggested that Wolfgang would have made them for her.

Being the savvy businesswoman that she was, Mary put up a sign outside the hotel. "FREE FOOD! Join us for brunch and see what we can do for you at the all-new Arms Hotel!"

[Open! OCD coming up! I'll be around in the morning and again in the evening. Slowplay welcome since Mary wants to meet as many people as possible. Otherwise, you can mod Gunther.]

Sometime during the afternoon, Karal and Jaina left the cabin to see what JGOB was all about. Jaina wasn't going to question the name, because she figured it was probably meant to be fun, or whimsical, and if there was any kind of baked goods worshipping going on, they might have to find somewhere else to go.

"It smells good," she said once they'd stepped inside. "That's a good sign."

[For Karal, but JGOB is open for your bakery (and baked goods worshipping) needs.]

Cally waited inside, since she was supposed to meet a certain someone here, today. It was nice to get out and away from the cabins every so often. This had nothing to do with psycho killers, of course, as Cally remained blissfully ignorant of such activities. Silly girl.

[ooc: For Mac, but open!]

Photo Hut, Sunday

Leo had finished developing all the photos from his weekend of Ghost Hunting, and was putting them up on the cork board on the wall.

All in all he thought they came out rather well.

Photo Hut is open.

Robin had a clipboard and was rather carefully taking stock. While grooving to Enya. He'd be glad to help you find what you're looking for.

Magic Box is open.

Millie opened the bookstore and set out treats for any customers, then settled in to check inventory.

GOB walked into Caritas and saw something strange. Tino was smiling. Smiling at him. At GOB.

GOB couldn't comprehend this. He checked his reflection in a spoon. He didn't look weird or anything. He checked his clothes. There wasn't anything funny on them, no stains or anything. He looked to the zombies. None of them looked to be plotting GOB's doom. GOB glared. "What's with you?" he asked. Tino shrugged. "Is this revenge for me being friendly last week?" Tino shrugged. GOB looked around and deciding it was safe to say it, he leaned in and whispered, "Kiss the Mountie. It'll shock you back to normal."

Tino nodded, still smiling. "That's just creepy," GOB noted.

[OOC: I am around. Tino is smiling. Huzzah.]

Aravis was curled up on the ground (in a relatively ladylike way, despite the obvious lack of care for her gown) beside the pond, and putting entirely too much thought into skipping rocks across it.

She had to do it perfectly, of course, or it was entirely a wasted effort.

[Aravis is here for a couple people in particular, and their threads are locked, but park is open for parky needs.]
