Tannim managed to somehow knock over an entire jewelry display, so half his morning was spent reorganizing the mess.

The Magic Box was open.

Groovy Tunes, Thursday

Charlie had Metallica blasting away, alternating with Pink. The kittens were happily rolling over each other in a window display for the newest CD's. And she was working on a new story. Well, maybe she can work it into the old one.

The Nomadic Celtic Chef, looked out over the deserted plain, and set off toward the mountains in search of the secret ingredients for the fajita sushi rolls ragout that would be the centerpiece to the diplomatic banquet, bringing two worlds together in peace and harmony.

Little did he know he was being followed....

Groovy Tunes was open.

Millie opened the store in a particularly good mood and after opening the store sat down to read the letters she'd just received from home.

Hannelore had been on a bit of a downward spiral into breakdown-ness, but was feeling better now that she'd managed to get the waterspot on her ceiling to go away. If it hadn't, she'd probably be completely unhinged.

Well. Unhinged-er.

[Hannelore and Winslow are here for all your counting needs. New kids, since I've sucked with getting this up - PNI is where you can take anything in a large quanitity (marbles, contents of a bag of holding, cookies - seriously, anything) that you don't feel like counting, and Hanners will do it for you. This is canon. Further info on Hanners, PNI and Winslow, her AnthroMac, can be found yonder!]

It had taken three people and a German-to-English dictionary, but eventually the Arms Hotel staff was able to explain to Gunther what "vegan" really meant and why last night's radio broadcast had people expecting health food at the new restaurant. Once he understood, though, he was furious. It was time for action, not another one of Mary's marketing surveys.

So Gunther dragged several tables from the shuttered restaurant into the lobby and put out a heaping plate of hamburgers along with napkins and cans of soda. He directed the kitchen staff to keep making more burgers until they collapsed from exhaustion. Gunther also put a sign up outside the lobby.

Montecito Grill Restaurant
Opening Soon!

If Gunther had been paying attention, he might have noticed that the pages of the antique guest register at the desk were turning as if they were being flipped by an invisible hand.

The lobby is open for anyone checking in or out or looking for free burgers.

He'd come down yesterday after his workshop, and just hadn't gotten around to going back to the dorms yet. Which means he probably slept on the beach, which would explain the sand in his hair.

And other, less visible, places.

But he has a pad of paper and a pen, and is trying to write a letter to some people back home who are Very Important. Mostly, he wants to know who won the Struggle Tournament. And he'll kick something if Seifer beat Setzer.

So far, though, all he has is,

"Hey guys, how's summer school treating you"

"Hey guys! You'd better have kicked Seifer's ass."

And that's where he gets stuck.

[OOC: Open for all your Roxas-y and beach-y needs!]

Bel was once again blowing off working in the afternoon. The weather wasn't particularly pleasant, but after the conversations he'd had with Angel and Anders yesterday, he was in a pretty damn good mood, smiling at nothing in particular as he walked through the park.

Phoebe helped tape the zombies to their correct parts and talked to them for a few moments about their music.

She was in a pretty cheerful mood and thought that today's workshop had gone pretty well... even with the interesting Arthurian discussion that Wyatt and Anders had segued into.

After making sure everything was in its proper place, Phoebe unlocked the doors.

Caritas was open.

[[OOC: SP is love as work and a major server being down for two days has killed me and my brain. Pings from Phoebe will happen, just slowly. If you need faster service, please mod Tino -- I need a Tino icon. :).]]

Things seemed, quieter than Neil was used to as he opened up the Nest for the evening. Since Musubi simply gave him a firm glare when it looked as if he were about to ask an impertinent question.

Giving a little shrug, Neil settled in behind the bar and was ready for work.

In a surprise twist, there was NOT a Sokka behind the counter today. There were, in fact, 1 3/4 Sokkas. The real one was wearing the spiffy post office-y hat, and concentrating really hard trying to finish the duplicate.

Ninja-ing class was the AWESOMEST THING EVER!

Not Tiddles had hissed at him and ran away when he started practicing. Apparently she didn't like it.

Luke's Diner, Thursday

Tomorrow was a Very Special Night.

Jude was just a leeeeetle distracted.

Please pay no attention to the doodles on various napkins.

And the dreamy, staring-off-into-space look.

Totally normal.

Luke's is open.

"Come oooon, Tubby, let me see."

Silent Bob shook his head.

"[Edited for public comm] that, [edited for public comm] head! Lemme see!" Jay made a snatch for the sketchpad. Bob cuddled it close to his chest. Jay pouted.

"Ohhhh, maaaaan..."

Turtle grinned wickedly as she bit her lip, looking at the tower of candy bars in front of her. Her focus and concentration had built it up pretty high and she tentatively held up another one. Carefully, she moved her hand toward the tower of delicately balanced treats, and set the next on on the uncertain construction. She drew her hand away; she let out her held breath. And the tower collapsed onto the counter, spilling concoctions of chocolate and nougat everywhere.

"Oh, no!" she giggled. "It collapsed again. Know what that means..."

She picked up one of the candybars, paid for it (with her employee discount in tact, of course), and ate it. Then started again.

The glittery "Help Wanted" sign was out, of course.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Twix, Snickers, Red.

Turtle & Canary is open!
