The decimal crisis was over and it was inventory day, and radio had actually been relatively easy-peasy last night so Turtle didn't even need to cling to her gross, disgusting coffee like usual as she went through the shelves with her clipboard and little beeping scanner thing. Don't tell Bart, but she named to the little beeping scanner thing Bob.

And occation, she'd stop, think about the report she read about what happened to Umbridge's office last night, think about the morning announcement, snort, and shake her head with a grin. She wondered if they were still there. She wondered if another fruit basket to share with them would be in order.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Red, Teal, Paper.

Turtle & Canary is open.

After all the chocolate she had yesterday, Mary eventually crashed once the sugar high wore off. That's why she was stumbling into the lobby just after her shift began, looking like she had just rolled out of bed. "Coffee," she ordered when she saw Gunther. "Lots of coffee and keep it coming."

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials
Miniature Jalapeno Souffles
Spinach, Mushroom and Artichoke Casserole
Mary's Chocolate-free Cookies (our manager ate all the chocolate chips)

Free appetizer if you're wearing a suit!

"What? I thought we were still going with the cowboy theme on Thursdays. Whose idea was this? Wait, it is Thursday, right?" Mary asked as the rest of the staff scurried out of the lobby.

[Open! OCD coming is up! I'm sorta around today, with some SP in the afternoon because I have to visit the DMV again.]

Millie opened the store and set out treats for the customers. Then she set out to do some cleaning and rearranging. Which might just result in books seemingly independently moving themselves around the store.

Being woken up by name-calling in the announcements (what is a Muggle, anyway?) and then finding out Dean was a wolf had put Charlie in a not exactly mellow mood.

That's why today's mix is Revolution Songs. And there's a very helpful sign:

Anti-Establishment Music HERE!

Groovy Tunes is open.

Dale was at his desk attempting to get some details taken care of for the Policeman's ball tomorrow, but unfortunately he seemed to be able to stop laughing.

And while this caused some minor concern with Ralph and his fellow troopers, they mostly assumed Dale had overdone it with the doughnuts and coffee.

Yitzhak had gone from writing up brainstorming notes on this new musical idea of his to actually writing up songs.

Of course, his English wasn't the greatest, so he was thinking of passing off the uneven phrasing as artistic conceit. What? It worked for other people.

Barbossa had a radio microphone, a captive audience, and no sense of what you'd call boundaries.

"Hello, me hearties!" he said jovially as he spun around. "In honor o' the new wench up at the school, I be puttin' together a special collection o' songs."

There was the sound of rustling papers. "First, though, we must all sing Happy Birthday t' the newest Winchester who be not a gun. Everyone together now!"

And then with the brash self-confidence of someone who really didn't give a damn, Barbossa bellowed out the loudest and most tonedeaf version of the song to grace the radio waves in some time."

"'n now fer wench Umbridge," Barbossa said, "I be playin' 'How Can I Miss Ye If'n Ye Won't Go Away.' O'er and o'er and o'er. Call in wit' yer requests, me hearties! And fer advice that be much better than that knave in the red jammies."

Café Fina, Thursday

Two days. Two days without her sketchbook, of not being able to lose herself in art. Two days of fumbling clumsily to change clothes or shower or dress herself. Two days of reaching to pick up something and having it fall to the floor.

Naminé was furious.

But she had to open Fina, so she stormed in rather angrily and shot daggers at anyone who asked what the matter was. Which was very unfair, but ... she'd been itching to sketch for two days now to relieve some of this frustration, and the fact that she couldn't only made everything worse.

She grasped the marker in her mouth in order to sloppily write today's ... not-so-specials:

NO SPECIALS TODAY
DON'T ASK

Fina was, however reluctantly, open.

Leo was attempting to use some of the fun features on his digital cam corder to add captions and subtitles and other effects to his footage of Efferton Manor.

D'Argo was contemplating a coffee. This was good for no one involved. ...Which was mainly him, right.

This town was quiet, but that wasn't a bad thing. No one from any government was keeping a close eye on him that he knew of, and that was a definite plus. He still wanted to get back, but until he found a way, this wasn't bad for a little break.

And it gave him a chance to do things he hadn't been able to do when he was on Earth before. Like try real coffee. Crichton had gone on about it, and there had been some at the house, but after seeing D'Argo's reaction to that sludge he'd advised him not to drink coffee made by anyone who'd never seen a coffee maker before, and called it rule of the universe number 18 or something inane like that.

D'Argo lifted the paper cup to take a sip, and upon first try almost spit it out, making a hissing noise as he did so. Then, considering the taste, decided it wasn't too horrible, and tried it again.

[Open like an open thing.]

So, the post office was open. Yeah.

Sokka hung out, kind of bored. I mean, come ON. It was now against the rules to be close to people, and here he was, stuck far away from anyone else.

It wasn't much of a protest, but he gave Gladys a big, long hug.

Phoebe was there to open Caritas and was perched on the end of the bar.

The zombies were playing protest songs.

Tino was way too amused.

Gabriel really needed that music player now. The trumpet was kind of limited, especially since all he knew was a few apocalyptic signals and other equally dramatic but in the long run quite boring pieces. He's tried playing the weird instrument in the church for variation, but to be honest it wasn't his thing either.

[The church is open]
