Park [All Day]

It was Monday, the start of a new week, and, since the school wasn't in shambles, this year's community service project was a renovation of the park.

Fraser was out, bright and early (and out of uniform but IN clothing, thank you), waiting by a large moddable variety of supplies to help rebuild, renovate and revamp the park.

When those that were participating arrived, Fraser addressed them.

"Good morning," he said, smiling. "I thank you all for coming out and I hope you've been enjoying your summer so far. As you can see, we're, once again, holding a community service project this summer. This year's project is a renovation of our beautiful park. We're going to be adding paths, barbecues, benches and hanging swings, water features, and other assorted features. Safety first so please remember to protect yourself while working. Please also remember to remain hydrated. And feel free to come and find me should you have any questions. I will be around."

With that, he nodded and let them get to work.

[This is the senior community service project but it is OPEN to all those that want to participate in helping with the park.]

Lacey was working on an arrangement of cream puffs for Murdock as thanks for his encouraging her to go out and sightsee in France (especially considering they were no longer there), although if she looked a little frazzled today it had to do with the part she wouldn't be mentioning to him.

In her eagerness to get out there and practice her French language skills, how had she been supposed to know that when she thought she'd been asking that attractive uniformed gentleman to give her tips on what restaurants to check out, she'd actually been propositioning him? Lucky thing she'd made it back to the island before it had moved again, if just barely.

Well, at least she could add 'French jail cell' to the list of places she'd been. Another one on the list of Things Not To Mention To People Back Home.

Luke's is open, and a perfectly legal business, thank you very much.

The Guy With Tools behind the counter today is actually helping with the advertising for once: he's got a knife and a piece of wood, and he's whittling. He's not sure what he's whittling - from the look of it, and the fact that he's doing it mostly to keep his hands busy while he thinks, it's going to end up the world's most perfectly polished toothpick.

[OOC: Open like a thing that's not closed!]

Mary was a little late getting to work this morning. For one thing, she was still crashing at Mike's apartment and he didn't have a hair dryer, so it took Mary a while to get ready. Then there was the fact that her undies had disappeared in the middle of the night, which made it much harder to get dressed.

And finally, when she made her way over to the hotel, she was stunned to find that they were no longer in chilly, rainy France but in some kind of tropical paradise. She'd really love to get out there and explore it, but today was going to be a busy day at the Arms Hotel.

There was a notice posted at the front desk:

Attention guests! Starting today, minibars will only be stocked by request only. Please pick up your new minibar keys from the front desk.

[Open! No specials today]

Since it was the second day of June, and June was kind of like the first month of summer, or something, and the first month being there almost meant that the last month was almost here which meant that it was a little closer to Teddy coming back, Chad decided that there would be a sale today. Just a little one. Like, five percent or something. Maybe ten, if your choices were good. Really, it was all based on a whim.

And since the weather outside was absolutely gorgeous, the doors were thrown open and Prince Oscar Pedro was enjoying all the spots of sunlight on the floor.

Today's mix: There are a Lot of Songs about California

He settled at a table, his hand around a drink that was most certainly not coffee. That was the last thing he needed to have right now. Tea was all right, though. Especially with honey.

[mostly for Ino, but open for all Perk and Liirish needs][NWS language in the Ino thread]

Another Monday in Fandom, and Gabriel was contemplating the fact that he still hung around. He sipped the coffee and picked up another donut. Cat lay snoring on the altar.

[The church is open]

On Saturday, Sokka had (handwavily, because I suck) run around collecting as much candy as possible before it disappeared. In conveniently squirrel-free areas. And then ate so much it made him sick.

Hence, the large candy-filled bags and the sign:

SALE: SKY CANDY
$2 per pound, while it lasts

Today's Squishy flavors: Jerk Chicken, Peppermint, Red

Book Haven, Monday

Seregil opened the shop and cleared the pile of brightly coloured underclothes off the table where he usually put out the snacks. After he had cookies and lemonade set out he sorted through the pile.

The sheer array of colours and designs was enough to keep him amused for a little while at least.

The Book Haven was open.

Cable wasn't entirely sure who'd mailed him the leaflet, but as far as information went, it was pretty... rudimentary. Not that he couldn't appreciate jokes, mind. They were just better if they were played on someone else.

Like his employees. He left it in the upper drawer of the desk for them to find.

He put the baby in the crib, then spent about half an hour theorising on whether it'd been a joke, a warning, a threat, or all of the above.

Or maybe a mismailing.

[ open! ]

Going commando was... kind of cool.

Not that he would do it everday. Kind of weird.

But it gave him something else to think about besides Mary and whether or not she was getting the help she needed.

He wondered when he would tell her that he as leaving.

The stand is open.

As Alex opened up the Magic Box, she was kind of hoping to practice some of the things she'd learned in Deadpool's class. Maybe she'd go to the gym later. That could work.

She was really glad she'd signed up for it. That and Arts & Crafts. Alex had been making some cool things and would definitely teach Harper some of those tricks when she went home. Making sure the store was clean and organized, Alex settled behind the counter and dialed Harper's number.

The Magic Box was open.

Pixie Dust, Monday

It was Monday, and they were somewhere warm! And Tink zipped into her store to discover ... discover ...

that all of the undergarments were missing.

When Tink found whoever had been brainless enough to shoplift from her store, there would be Hell to Pay.

So there were two new signs in the window, one that said:

$500 SHOPPING SPREE FOR ANYONE WHO BRINGS INFORMATION ON THE SOON TO BE DEAD INDIVIDUALS WHO STOLE FROM TINK'S FABULOUS STORE
Body Parts From The Perpetrators Also Accepted

And an older one that she'd pulled out from under the counter:

ASSISTANCE WANTED
Employees Receive Employee Discount

cut for image )

Pixie Dust was open.

(OOC: A few very important notes for newbies! One is, Tink is a complete bitch, and will probably mock your character in a horribly crush fashion, because ... it's Tink. Two is, Pixie Dust is hiring, but she's weird and highly fussy, and only inclined to hire those who are very chic or very bitchy, preferably both. Three: if you ever need someone to talk your character into something he or she would not ordinarily wear, but would be fabulous on them, let me know, Tink can be helpful like that. And lastly: Tink can't talk, she'll just narrative at you, feel free to stare in confusion or interpret as much as you like.)

Murdock was munching on a pastry while looking over his sketchy notes. Maddingly, he wasn't any closer to figuring out who the Underwear Bandito was. He had a hunch, though. That shady chef guy at the hotel was a prime suspect. He just didn't have enough hard evidence.

Yet.

(it's open, la. come boggle and be confused by 'Mac Murdock' as he pesters you with questions about missing undies)

Fortunately, Jolee was over his cleaning kick. Unfortunately he wasn't over trying to get things organized a certain way. Now it was more to mess with Tino than anything else, though.

"No, no, no. That glass goes next. It's slightly larger," Jolee said. Tino just glared at him. "Look, one of us has Force Sight, the other doesn't. Now put them in the right order." Then he smiled. It was a fun night.

[OOC: Around, but I may be occasionally spotty throughout the night.]
