Okay, so nothing had happened down by the port yet.

This wasn't exactly reassuring Jen, who kept wandering out front of the restaurant to peer semi-futilely in that direction.

This nervous preoccupation was very likely the reason that all the pizzas on display had toppings arranged into city streets, upon which monsters made of mushrooms and olives on toothpicks rampaged.

Viki wondered, idly, as she braided her hair and stared at the knives that had been hung--were they supposed to be there? Ought she let someone know? Had the island put them there?--if the island would keep on expanding like the castles back home.

Only, she supposed, if that was the case then she’d have seen someone building and constructing. Unless they were invisible.

She considered that. It was possible, really. Though she didn’t see the how or the why anyone would want to do construction while invisible.

Trooper Station - Saturday

Between the island expanding and Dale disappearing, things were slightly hectic for Roy at the station. He was more than ever aware how much paperwork Dale managed to move in a week.

Pulling night shifts to work through everything so he could laze off during the day was a thing of the past now that Roy had other things to do outside of work. It was a little strange, but he enjoyed it thoroughly, just right now it meant that he had to actually do the paperwork during the day and he still wanted to go out patrolling with the troopers. It was Fandom after all and one couldn't be careful enough when you suddenly ended up with a whole new, still unfamiliar thing attached to the island.

So Roy could be found behind the lobby, scribbling away and listening in on the reports from the troopers that were out on patrol.

Pixie Dust, Saturday

Toby nearly forgot to go to work today. It was like the week had just passed in an instant. To Toby that was quite likely given Fandom was super strange and all.

But he was at the store eventually, setting up a display of incredibly fashionable hats. So what if more of them made it onto his head than onto the display? He looked hot.

After Three Minute Dates last week, Jaye had decided she needed to recover from it. Yes, a week later. Which was why she called out, faking a cough Tino didn't believe. It was like he thought she would try to get out of doing work or something.

The Wooded Unexplored Areas; Late Saturday Afternoon.

It had been an odd weekend for Cal, which he blamed mostly on his mun having a life suddenly wtf the fights he'd gotten into with Ino and with Amber, which, by now, he should be used to, really, but they felt different this time. Much different, and it had him in a funk that he only now seemed to be able to break, in the form of being alone and being outdoors and being in the area of the island that would be not new to him, but new to everyone. He liked being alone like this, walking through new territories where he could just not think about anything but what was around him.

Eventually, he found a nice spot beneath a tree, just enough shade and light to sit and read a little. It started to get closer to the eventual sunset, and he lifted his eyes from the page to the sky and considered heading back.

He decided against it, and went back to reading. He thought that he might like a situation where he could spend all of his time like this, but then realized it was stupid. It would get boring after a while. For now, though, this was just the spot he'd want to be.

The Onsen; Saturday Evening.

Adah was leaving soon; this was an unavoidable fact. There were very few things that she knew she'd have to do before she left, and most of them albeit handwavily woe had already been taken care of.

This certainly hadn't been on her original list, but, really? She'd be damned if she was going to leave without taking advantage of at least one relaxing evening in a natural hot spring. She just had to be grateful that it happened now rather than in a few days when she'd be gone for certain. Emerged in the warm water, she felt a contented sigh, closing her eyes and tilting her head back at an angle that was comfortable for only her and perhaps people with a few missing vertebrae, and relaxed.

As if she needed another reason to not want to leave...
