Eve checked the exhibit and settled in at the reception desk, several shopping catalogues open in front of her as she tried to work on her Christmas shopping.

Because face it, if she didn't do it now then she'd be doing it the day before Christmas.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Jen didn't actually bat an eye when she headed in to work after class and walked through the doorway into a flurry of falling flakes. Snow indoors? It was Fandom. It could happen.

Half a second later, when she realized they were red pepper flakes, she yelled "I DIDN'T DO IT, BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING!" in the direction of the kitchen.

She left the pepperfall alone, though, except for a couple of booths by the door where she rigged up an awning and cleared out the pepperdrifts for anyone who might have allergy issues.

Kind of a shame she couldn't make pepperballs. Or peppermen. Or a pepperfort.

There were fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies at the front desk today. Unfortunately, Mary hadn't been able to find potholders when she took the cookies out of the oven. That's why she was wearing several layers of mittens.

If anyone asked, she would claim that it was a new fashion trend.

The Arms Hotel was open.

Hurley had no problems staying awake this week. Instead of focusing on his job, however, he had some paint and his Mouse Droid, which was still unnamed.

Yes, he was painting the Mouse droid. It needed go-faster stripes.

When Dor opened the shop today he found many of the comic books comisserating with each other about how they are due to be cancelled in a few months. The sad tone wouldn't have been so bad if the Sparrow and Evening-pinion titles would quit arguing over which character was going to be the new Ratguy.

Thankfully Dor was used to the mindless droning of inanimate objects and was able to get the store up and running without too much trouble.

It was a slightly hungover Kaylee who opened up the shop today. As such, she wasn't busily working on anything so much as sitting behind the counter and clinging to her coffee.

[...um, it's Twiday. SP IS THE NAME OF THE SPARKLY GAME.]

Jenny was pleased to find when she came in for work on Friday that nothing had changed.

She was even more pleased to go in the back room, find a trash can, throw that thing Cullen had made her wear in it, and add lighter fluid and a match. Burn, baby, burn.

Pixie Dust was open, and any lingering aroma of smoke was purely your imagination.

Achoo! Ella sneezed wetly into a handkerchief as she opened the diner. She felt miserable.

"I have the plague," she informed the kitchen staff. "I'm staying out front today and not touching the food.

None of them seemed inclined to argue the point.

Ella slumped behind the counter, sipping from a mug of tea and not going near the food. It would be a long shift.

Ray was at work. He was. He had coffee, which was also not the problem. What was the problem was that he'd missed the radio broadcast last night, and now he had to bring it back. Because there was some sort of, uh, what was it called-- bod? Bod past-- cast thingie.

Hence, Ray was ramming on the keys of his keyboard trying to get the thing to appear. Computers were not his friend. "I hate you," he told the screen, "Modern convenience, my ass."

Chad felt glad that there didn't seem to be anything going on today that would have had him closing the shop early; he felt like he'd been doing his position as manager a disservice by skipping out so much, and made up for it by working particularly hard today.

Which pretty much meant moving things around a lot.

After yesterday's Leadership class, Agnes couldn't help but spend today researching spells that would create food and water out of thin air. In her world, it wasn't possible, at least not really. At least, she didn't think. Not with regular magic, anyway.

So there were plenty of books piled on the counter, but the store was very definitely open.

"What happened to you?" Jolee asked Tino when he walked into the bar. Tino, whose arm was in a makeshift sling, refused to answer. "I'll help you out, but only if you tell me."

Tino sighed and explained that he and the zombies were playing touch football in the alley earlier this afternoon. It was a bad idea to play touch football with zombies. They push hard.

"You probably don't deserve this, but I'm going to help you anyway," Jolee said, putting a hand on Tino's arm and using a Force technique to identify and heal the sprain. "Wear padding next time."

[OOC: Around, but potentially slow due to possible napping. But maybe not. We'll see!]

Rikku was here on time. Honest. And fussing with guns and armor and all the usual stuff.

Look, maybe she was a small red bear thing, but it didn't mean Rosie couldn't do her job.

Err, actually...

Perched on Bold's withers, one clever paw wrapped in his mane while she stretched her other arm up to fiddle with the strap of his halter, she was rapidly coming to the conclusion that maybe she couldn't do her job.

Really, it was just depressing.

The Gig was open, though how successfully remained to be seen.

[ooc: my availability is not very, and Rosie's mainly here to give someone a job, but I will be back in my morning should you have need of a small red bear thing or a horsie.]

There were no books to stack today. Different job, different things. She knew that well enough though it didn’t stop Viki from idly hoping that it would be different. It might be exciting, one time, if everything was mixed up rather than the usual routine.

And wasn’t that weird, even? She had a routine these days. Viki’s frown deepened.

She didn’t much like that thought. Ugh. Routine only meant it’d be worse when she left.
