It was a nice thing, really, to come in on a Monday and find that the radios needing to be transcribed for the records were shorts and sweet, though Daisy did rather miss Deadpool's usual and, now that she was blessedly back to full time, she had no idea what was actually going to be done with the rest of her shift.

Lots and lots of paperwork, probably, although, Kowalski did say something about patrols. If she got too sick of it, she might just cling to that.

And the radios were fairly direct and simple, too, though one moment in yesterday's did cause her a moment's pause.

"I am not ea--"

Ah, but, as a beacon of justice and truth, not even Daisy could fully say a complaint that untruthful.

Hard to believe it was the end of another semester. This time next week, the place would be crawling with new arrivals. Which meant he'd better get to ordering in some more school supplies.

G'Kar sat behind the counter, busily filling out order forms while Apu mopped the aisles and polished the robots.

It was certainly a productive looking day.

Since she was going to the beach tomorrow, Rachel had considered taking some of her 'work' outside with her to try and get a little bit of a tan, but she knew as soon as the thought waltzed through her head that it was a bad one. Sun and Rachel were not a good combination. Even just the slightest bit over too much, and she'd have a migraine up to high heaven and her face would be as red as a ripe tomato, which would not be cute, believe you me. So she'd have to make sure to get herself a nice shady hat and some serious sunscreen before tomorrow.

For now, though, she had a lobby well-lit by the changed bulbs and, to treat herself for the job well done on those, she was flipping through a mail-order catalog and pondering redecoration ideas. She had never heard of this IKEA before in her life, and felt all the more deprived for it. Some of this stuff was just seriously boss.

Worf was feeling a tad restless today. After getting the shop in order he went back to the meditation area and started going through the various routines of the mok'bara that pertained to his bat'leth.

Which might sound dirty but really isn't.

Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center is open and very clean, Thank you.

Alex opened up the store and happened to be checking her phone in the process. She had a voicemail from Justin. Something about Max and giant vegetables. That had her laughing for a good five minutes.

Finally settling down, Alex took her seat behind the counter and pulled out a magazine to read.

Monday saw Ender back at work, his focus this time mostly on the arc reactor, poking and prodding and adjusting. He thought he'd found a way to work with the metal that laid at its core, but he was in no rush to arrogantly claim he'd had it done.

Instead, he took to the holographic projector, attempting simulations, and running through various incarnations of the device with an expert eye.

Town Hall, Monday

Cable had come into town hall relatively early that morning, Jan kept perilously close (not that that was anything new) and taken a seat in his office to start on preparations for the coming school semester. Granted, his responsibilities mainly pertained to town and the people in it, but the school was a big part of his constituency and the new semester would bring any number of new issues to light.

So there he was. Going through paperwork. Checking over his radio documentation from the last few months to see if there had been any problem cases.

It was a good job.

Turtle Wexler was surrounded by paperwork.

Just as she liked it. True, G'Kar had done a lot yesterday to get ready for the incoming semester, but she had a lot to do, too. And, even if she didn't, she was very good at finding things to do even when there wasn't anything. There might be some charts made soon. Even if it wasn't store stuff, it was campaign stuff, club stuff, multiculural fair stuff.

Turtle gave a sigh of contentment and continued working on her stuff.

Vida had come downstairs to the shop an hour early so she could spend it getting everything arranged just so, tossing old product and making sure all the displays had fresh water. Once all was to her satisfaction, she collapsed (gracefully) in a chair and began to flip through the latest copy of Vogue.

Covent Garden Flowers was open.

There were still no fish.

But now there were plants in the round fish bowl, and a little golden treasure box at the bottom. An inch of pink gravel filled the bottom.

"Now, do I want the windmill? Or the sunken castle?"

Yes, the goddess of love was contemplating decorations for her fishbowl.

The same sign still stood proudly by the counter:

New! Vote for your favorite fish to join our new fish bowl!
You can choose between the Clown Fish, the Red Lion Fish, or the beautiful and many colored Discus Fish!
Vote and get a new vibrator - Free!

One could only wonder what she'd do when she got bored with the fish.

(ooc: Open, like a fish bowl. Last link is NWS.)

Though it looked like the Holiday Grove was selling supplies for St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, and the 4th of July, it was actually selling supplies for the Feast of St. Abban, Mundus Patet, and Ukrainian Independence day.

Oz had never heard of any of these, but he was perfectly willing to help anyone with their needs in celebrating these auspicious holidays.

Welcome to the Holiday Grove.

Here it was, Monday once more. By next week, Miss Elizabeth Bennet would be a teacher again. She tidied up the shop as best she could. She would miss being surrounded by books, she had to confess, but she missed her students even more so.
