It was the beginning of a new month. That meant fuck all to Loki save for the fact that with all the new people on the island, he suspected he'd be getting some more tenants. Worked for him, that meant more rent and more shit he could buy to spruce up the building. For now, though, he was back behind the counter, feet up on his desk and magazine resting on his outstretched legs. There was music coming from somewhere, loud but not raucous and the Christmas moods lights were on, giving the lobby a bright, hazy glow.

It it'd been warmer, he'd just gone fucking swimming but, for now, this worked.

Her list, she thought, needed a bit more work, so that was what Hinata settled in to do after opening up the shop and tidying everything up.

It wasn't like the place was dirty, not at all, but when it came to putting things in their place, Hinata liked everything to be just so. And, in some small way, she figured it made up for the cat fur that Yei left every week during her exploring.

It was a very chamomile sort of day--and not in the soothing tea sort of way. Energy in action.

Which meant that Ino was embarking on a Project of rearranging the flowers in the windows to her liking. It'd take a while, but it'd be well worth it when she was done. Definitely. As always, she had music on and was singing tunefully along with it.

What? Flowers and song totally went together and it was putting her into a zen sort of mind frame. This was a good thing.

Somehow, a shopping trip had ended with Didi having a job. It seemed like, mortal or not, she couldn't get away from that.

She didn't mind, though. Leaving Turtle's sign in place --

-- she took a Squishie (red had this amazing taste, like chemicals and fruit juice) and passed her time behind the counter, talking to Apu about Hindu gods.

She didn't think he quite believed everything she had to say about Kali, but he seemed to find her a entertaining kind of crazy. That was all Didi expected.

Today's Squishie Flavors: Red, Blue, Purple.

When Ellie arrived today and learned that Smudge was missing, she made sure not to let the remaining horses out of her sight. So she was paying extra attention to them as she let them out into the paddock for their exercise.

Oh, yes, the staff of Café Fina were very excited to see Lion-o, and they couldn't get over how much he'd grown over the summer. "Yeah, I've been hearing that a lot lately," he mumbled as the pepper shaker told him for the third time that he'd gotten so tall.

The cheese grater was even worse, telling Lion-o that he'd developed a fine figure of a man while giving Lion-o some very odd looks. Lion-o instinctively tried to hide behind Snarf every time the cheese grater came back, except he'd forgotten that he was so much taller.

Geoffrey managed to get back to the theatre in time to open the box office, but only just. @#%#ing bastards in the @#$%ing printing shop taking their @#$$ing time with his #@%#ing order! He'd put it in a month and a half ago! What the hell was that?

Hopefully, that'll be the last thing to go wrong with this production.

And he knocked wood in the hopes of making it so. He didn't need any more stress, not when he was starting to have... when...

The show. Focus on the show. And. Don't throttle anyone.

Raven was in a fairly good mood when she opened the store for the day. She liked the two classes she had attended so far, and still had Professor Skywalker's Ethics class to look forward to. A cute boy had called her pretty, and there'd been no substantial amount of trauma recently, though she was wondering and hoping she would be able to help Jonothon.

She was in such a pleasant mood that she didn't bat an eye when she had to sign for a delivery of chainmail bikinis. (Okay, maybe she did have to pause and wonder how in the world someone would think that appropriate protective gear.) The collars and cuffs were a little more troublesome, but when she saw one was named "Raven," she was momentarily distracted by curiosity on how it would look on her.

Maron felt sort of silly, but she’d spent a fair bit of the day scoping out places where she could take her vole out to tea. What did voles like, anyway? It was something to keep in mind.

Finn was totally going to laugh at her but it was for class. It was important!

If she was going to do it, after all, it was best to do it right, so that meant preparation had to be done. Checking her list of places, Maron crossed off another, and started heading for the next. One more and she’d call it a night. Maybe Turtle would have an idea...?

She turned and headed down another street.

[For the madman totally sane rly director, but totally open beforehand!]

The full moon was approaching, and Oz felt the usual stirrings of restlessness. He decided that this month he'd take advantage of the sweat lodge on the three nights.

Just now he was hanging t-shirts, and admiring some of the designs.

"That seems more Celtic." he mused aloud. The next one had pictures of eagles on it and he wondered if Rocs, and Thunderbirds were the same species.

It had been... an eventful two weeks. If you counted the zoo. And Wade being... Wade.

Not that Cable was spending an awful lot of time dwelling on the zoo as he went through the stock, flipping the open sign on the door on his way past. Once he was finished, he moved back towards the window and put down a sign that read Help Wanted; Over 18 Preferred, patted Tether on the head, and strode past Jan on his way back to the desk.

If she could stop babbling, Askani preserve him, he might get some work in.

Finished with his paperwork for the day, Gibbs was now going over the transcriptions Daisy had done from over the weekend and making notes regarding the various events that had occurred. For the most part it didn't seem like anything was out of the ordinary.

Or at least ordinary for Fandom.

Every once and a while Ralph tried to add an item of paperwork to in Gibbs's empty inbox. Gibbs would then scare him away with a certain look reserved for those who wished to have hell rain down upon them.

Fiona winced as she pulled the phone away from her ear. It was her phone, her personal phone, which she'd decided to check for voicemail during her lunch break.

...she didn't know Eliot could curse like that. Apparently, she wasn't the only one learning new things.

She resolved to dial him back after reserves. That would give her time to come up with something to make the fact that she'd been turned into a kitten for a week sound less embarrassing to her twin brother.

John was actually pausing in his demon research today to go over the shop's books. It wasn't exactly his favorite pastime, and it hadn't been even back in the days when he had the auto shop and didn't know what went bump in the night. Still it had to be done, and so here he was, elbows deep in invoices, orders and receipts.

There was a sign in the front window advertising for HELP WANTED. Maybe he would get lucky and someone would apply who had bookkeeping experience.

The Magic Box was open.

The Homer floated aimlessly around Fandom, because Jack hadn't bothered anchoring it. If it looked like he was going to hit something, he'd turn the engine back on. In the meantime, he was fishing.

He'd found a school of fish that showed up in his bucket before he caught them and then disappeared after, and the whole experience was making his head hurt, but he couldn't stop doing it. It was, for lack of a better word, fascinating.

The posters for the play had gone up after Rose's stupid-early training session so she hadn't realised it was today until she wandered down out of boredom later in the evening and by then it was too late to go.

She would have gone to work out at the gym except that knowing Dimitri, he'd've been smug so she found her way to the ice cream shop for a less argumentative ice cream than had occurred last night.

A scoop of Mackinac Island fudge was acquired, and it was nice enough that she sat on one of the benches in front of the store, her legs curled up under her as she slowly ate the ice cream and ignored the pigeons that had started to beg.  Stupid pigeons.  They weren't even smart enough to be scared off by the unnatural dhampir thing.

Katchoo didn't really want to leave her room this morning, not with Francine back, but Francine had a third period class anyway and Katchoo really needed the money. Besides, Clocky would've hounded her to insanity if she didn't go to work, probably out of some notion that she had barely seen sunlight in days, and no, that cigarette run didn't count.

Speaking of which . . . ugh. Katchoo was sitting out on the front steps of the store today, listening to music on her phone while she sketched, but the smoke breaks were sporadic instead of their usual chain. Her lungs hurt like a bitch after the past few days.

[OOC: Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise. Running in the shadows, damn your OCD, damn your lies. Mmm, Fleetwood Mac. Open, though I'll be AFK for a good portion of the afternoon between 12 and 4 Pacific.]
