If there was anything in the air, Mitchell's dead body didn't notice it. Nor did he, really: he came in early on Thursday, when the night was still barely tailing off, and slipped into the theatre. The sign was changed an hour later.

TODAY'S SHOWING
The Social Network

He slipped through the cinema like a ghost, directing concessions and making sure the film was running smoothly before vanishing into his office. By the time evening rolled along, he'd be gone again, back to Bristol and all the work that it brought with it. After all, Herrick was going to talk to Josie soon-- he had to be there for it.

Tara hadn't wanted to come to work yesterday. Work meant leaving bed, and leaving bed meant leaving Kennedy, and both of those things got harder every day this week. Plus, she'd had a bad case of the babbles yesterday; she wasn't entirely sure it had cleared up.

But she dragged herself into the shop anyhow, rewarding herself by pulling out a spellbook she'd been slowly reading her way through. She meant to just spend some time studying ways to improve her telekinesis, but when the book opened to a section on telepathic broadcasting instead, she read that. She could see so many situations where being able to talk into someone's head would be useful.

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.

Christian all but pirouetted around the store as he unloaded new stock. His conversation with Rinoa at rehearsal yesterday might have been a bit awkward in places, but overall he couldn't argue with the end results.

Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.

He was still a bit uncomfortable -- there was a twitch under his skin that kissing hadn't done much to quench -- but it wasn't so far off from how he normally felt. He could manage it.

There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you
in time - It's easy.

Groovy Tunes was open, and even more musical than it normally was.

Millie was... on edge. All the romance novels she could manage to get her hands on - and owning a bookstore gave her access to quite a few - weren't enough to help with this... craving.

All of this resulting in one slightly-cranky, ex-goddess, powerful enchantress-type being grumbling around in the store today.

Horseback riding. That would help. As far and as fast and as long as she could manage.

Lather, rinse, repeat, find James after work, hopefully.

Lindsay set up a new display. This one comprised of various sports books, baseball included. Of course, being this week on this particular island, she was thinking of how dirty some of the baseball terminology sounded. She shook her head. Okay, maybe she giggled a little, too. It was one of those days.

It was possible the laughter was due to nerves as she stared at her phone some more. She was still considering a phone call to Barry. She also wondered if it was more than island wackiness that was causing her to think about him lately.

Getting anymore work done today might be impossible.

Ellie was kind of grumpy today. Possibly because she was witness to Gunther's flirtation with one of the maids. She had not been warned about this.

"There are so many rooms here," she said, wrinkling her nose. "Please go get one."

The fact that they seemed to listen to her was really disturbing. Eh, at least now she could get back to the smutty Rumor Gal fanfiction she had been reading.

Why oh why had someone thought it was a good idea to put the books on Life Drawing on sale today? Complete with artfully-arranged display at the front counter?

Cally would be over there if you needed her. Dusting the Cubism section. Cubes were not sexy.

Of course, if you smoothed down the corners a bit, you'd eventually get a globe... No.

George wasn't paranoid. She wasn't. She was just convinced that Apu was staring at her. Could he tell? He totally knew something had happened, didn't he?

Jono probably knew. There had been a sock on the door, and so he hadn't come home at all. Even though Puck hadn't stayed over night. And was that normal, for a guy to just run for it like your bed had caught on fire?

Oh, fuck. Jono had to know. And maybe Apu knew just by looking at her.

"What?" she snapped. "Aren't you supposed to be doing something?"

Apu was certainly staring at her now, since she was being all crazy-girl at him.

Awesome.

This was going to be a long day.

The way Jaina figured, she was going to be annoying herself either way: she could stay in and try to repress the hell out of yesterday, which was way too hard to do for her liking, or she could go out and be jittery and chance running into actual people. She chose the option that meant she could work on focusing on anything that wasn't oversharing or sex, which meant she went to try pool. She still wasn't the best, so it took concentration and the ability to not scratch the table every five seconds because you were jumpy and distracted.

She'd gotten about halfway through the balls on the table, slipping the cue stick through her fingers to send the ball shooting down the table into the hole... and then she realized what she was doing and wondered if anyone would look at her funny if she just went somewhere to bang her head against the wall.

Drinking was a fantastic way to try to dull down extreme horniness. Which would be why Wallace was kind of drunk right now. But it was a manageable kind of drunk. Sort of. He was just more yell-y than usual.

"Back off, Rico," he said, pointing his glass at Tino. "I'm nowhere near horny enough to sleep with you."

After a week of whatever was in the air, Ghanima was in desperate need of a proper cup of tea. While Ghanima's Bene Gesserit training allowed her to filter the chemical effects of the pollen from her system, it required her to be awake and Ghanima was not giving up sleep just because of hormones. That would be ridiculous, and she was perfectly capable of being an adult.

Theoretically, at least.
