One of the great things about having Zekk around was that it didn't disturb Jaina's routine in the slightest. The only real change to her lifestyle was that while he was staying with her, he got the bed because he was too tall for the sofa, and so Jaina would be sleeping in the living room for a couple nights because sharing was just not going to happen. Big deal.

At the moment it was just her at the bar (well, her and Tino), though she fully expected him to meet her down here once he'd finished cleaning up from all the training she'd put him through. (Not dirty. So definitely not dirty.)

Parent's Weekend Mixer | Community Center | Evening | March 12

After what was sure to be a busy day of catching up with family and guests, the local community center was lit up and now open for everyone to come enjoy the party. The decorations inside weren't overly garish or weird and long tables dotted with food and drinks lined the walls. Music was playing and a disco ball spun in the middle of the dance floor.

The night was young and the party was about to get into full swing! Come stop by!

The Beach; Saturday Afternoon [ 03/12 ].

It might have been a little chillier than some would like for a performance on the beach, but there was some sunshine, and Ariel was determined to have it here by the ocean since it fit so well with the theme. She'd oh-so-handwavily put up some posters around town and slipped a little card about the Glee Club's show under all the doors at the dorms and the apartment buildings and the hotel, so that everyone would know about it and hopefully, people could find the time to take a break and enjoy a little performance.

She got to the beach plenty early, though, to set up the performance area and put up some chairs for the guests and even put up some tiki torches and a table for snacks. It was probably a good thing she didn't have any visitors this weekend; it gave her the chance to focus a lot on getting things ready for the hula!

Il Pollo, Saturday Afternoon

Val had arrived a few hours ago, but they hadn't had a lot of time to themselves yet. Ender wanted to catch up with his sister in private - it had been a few months, and while they hadn't been quite as eventful as the previous year, a lot had still happened. He wondered how much of it he should share with her. She'd definitely like to know about Peter, but... well. Things in their family were always complicated. (In most families, he was starting to think-- few people he'd met here had simple loving relationships with their relatives, the way you saw them in the movies.)

Lunch had seemed like the best option, because he wasn't about to take Ben up on his offer to leave the room to them for a while. And so shortly after noon had come and gone, Ender took his sister down into the town to get some food at Il Pollo.

He sank down in the booth with a small smile on his face, and stole a menu from the table next to theirs. "You look good," he said, warmly. "Eros can't have been treating you that badly."

Two whole evenings with your relatives! Are you ready to ditch them and go to a club yet? Eric was certainly hoping so. The drink specials were on shots of tequila, and the music was loud and tending towards the 80s.

Come and have a good time. Tiny won't tell your mother where you are.

The Perk, Saturday Late Morning

Actually, so far this weekend hadn't been nearly as bad as Kate had expected. However, that may have been partly because she had dragged Zach away from the park for a walk around town as soon as he'd shown up, and then they'd retreated to the hotel pretty early, which meant they'd been successful in avoiding damn near everyone.

And this morning they were chancing it by starting out their day at the Perk. Zach's charming demeanor and generous tip-giving had achieved the seemingly impossible, which was a giant cup of black coffee for Kate, and life was good. They'd picked a table that wasn't too far in the back yet not too near the windows, and were having some pleasant conversation over their breakfast, occasionally chuckling quietly or leaning across the table to share things that were best kept private.

Of course, relaxed as Kate seemed to be, she was sitting so that she had a clear view of the door. It was just best that way.

The Causeway, Late Afternoon Saturday

Elphaba was more than happy to head out to the causeway when she got the message she actually had a visitor for the weekend. Sure, she'd have to help her around, but the joy in her hear that her sister was here. She hadn't seen her in so long.

So, Elphaba hurried out to meet up with her 'tragically beautiful' sibling, hoping that she would be in equally high spirits.
