Zayne was feeling pretty good today. Not only was he an actually legitimate businessman, but he had an actual employee whose purpose wasn't to shoot things or hit them with a staff. (Not that he had a problem with employees who hit things with staffs. Traditionally, that was his favorite kind of employee.)

He started feeling less good when he saw what the special was today. Zayne always felt a little weird about food from Mon Calamari. It really didn't help that the main species on the planet shared a name with a food dish on Earth. But he didn't expect most of the island to even know about these concerns, so he didn't bring it up. And anyway, it tasted pretty good.

Today, Dolf was hovering near the cheese aisle. What with the panda bustling through all the time, the integrity of the aisle was starting to look a little... iffy. In the process, he baffled about the abundance of Dutch cheeses (Gouda, of course, but Edam?) and the randomness of the large carton of pink lemonade someone had stuffed between the cheeses.

And then there were the Babybells.

Oh, they looked fine at first sight, but when he picked up a bag of them--

"The Laughing Cow? Really?" Dolf said, frowning. When Apu shrugged, he added an offended, "What, they can't have La vache qui rit like everybody else?"

Apu, sanely, ignored him.

Today's Squishy flavors: Cheese, Cheese, Pink.

The NOW SHOWING sign said GOODBYE, KATE, which hadn't actually been Mitchell's idea; he'd shown up in the morning to find it already hanging there. Apparently it could be blamed squarely on Box Office Guy, but Mitchell chose not to question him about it.

He did order them about to set up the drinks in a slightly more party-like configuration, put out some bowls of nachos, and promised the staff they'd shut down early to make it a proper party. Sort of.

Incidentally, Mitchell was also heavily repressing the fact that she was leaving. He did things his way, okay?

Yep. Today, Mystery Sign Theatre was going to party if it killed them.

Jack was a bit melancholy when he got to the bar. It had been a weekend of lasts and goodbyes; last island dance, a goodbye party for Kate, and now his next-to-last shift in the bar. Of course there would be visits, but none of it would ever be the same. Even London wouldn't be the same.

He took out some scratch paper and started making a list. There were things to be done this week, no question. The question would be if there'd be time.
