So, it was Sparkle's first day on the job. On the job, working at the sex shop in town, as you do. He still wasn't completely certain how in the world people kept mistaking him for like a responsible potential employee, but they did, so here he was. Working.

Days like today, spent making a display of edible lingerie by dressing up the cock in assorted candy bras and thongs whenever he got bored with poking through the condoms to see how many fun flavours he could find, he could almost forget that he was supposed to be angry with the world, or something.

Dite's was open, and the new employee was singing lewd songs and dancing with a sexy metal rooster. If you asked, he'd tell you he was just limbering up before his date tonight, and then try to sell you a chocolate penis.

Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Friday

Today was a busy day for Alec at Wellspring Arms and elsewhere, but not in the bad way. And also, not in the way that involved doing a lot of work. Go figure.

First thing in the morning, the new suit that Kate had insisted on having tailored was dropped off, which left Alec in the unenviable position of having to choose between putting the suit on or having a garment bag slung over the counter of a weapons shop all day. He chose the former, which just left him looking like an unusually dapper weapons salesman for a while, but then he remembered the tie.

Right. The tie.

With ten minutes to go until the end of his shift and the start of the dance, Alec could be found hurriedly watching a Youtube video entitled 'How to Tie a Tie' and attempting to replicate what the guy was doing. He was doing a very poor job.

Allie didn't take it down, but decided if anyone started sobbing, he was going to be the one dealing with it.

Petra was hating the hell out of this update form trying to wear a few too many hats today, but that didn't mean she let any of them fall by the wayside. She opened up Demon Marcus and put a sign in the window reading:

Caritas, Friday Evening

The highlight of Mike's Valentine's Day evening had been Adam drunk-dialing him. He was fine with that, though (although he'd have preferred not to listen to Adam's drunken ramblings). He'd still gotten flowers earlier in the day, which had amused him, and he was in an okay mood when he came into work today.

With less pomp and circumstance than usual, it was time to start the dates right at 8:00. Fandom alum Bruce Wayne strode out onto the stage with some notecards in one hand and a rather festive-looking drink in the other.

"Good evening. Welcome to Caritas, and welcome to Three Minute Dates. If you're in the student group and have been in Fandom at least a year now, there's a fair chance that you already know that I'm Bruce Wayne, because I probably met you on a date at one of these events," Bruce said, giving a small smile and a shrug. "But on the chance that you didn't meet me that way, hi, it's nice to meet you now. I graduated from Fandom High in 2012. Before then, I apparently did so many of these things that when they needed a host, somebody remembered me and figured I was qualified."

"So, clearly, 3 Minute Dates didn't work for me in the long-term. But I had enough fun meeting people and making connections that I came back time after time. I hope all of you have at least that same kind of experience." Bruce took a sip of his drink before placing it on the stool next to him.

"But enough of that. Let's get things started. First things first, let me introduce your Fandom High Gremlins cheerleaders, who have been good enough to cheer everyone on. And, according to my notes, it looks like several of them will even be participating in the dates. Second, the rules are simple. I'll read off the names of the pairings in each round. You'll meet up, talk for three minutes, and then the zombie drummer will hit the gong and we'll move to the next round. After doing this five times, the dates are over and the next round will be at the bar and will be drinks. I'm paying."

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.
