Valentine's Dance, Town Hall, Friday Evening

If there was one thing a Fandom Dance could be guaranteed to have, it was glitter. Thus the abundance of glitter coating the hall decorations should have come as no surprise to the arriving guests, that a large number of said decorations were pterodactyl-shaped may have.

But the theme was 'Love is in the Air', and if you did not agree that the mighty the pterodactyl was the most romantic of flying creatures, then maybe the winged cow was for you. Or perhaps the helicopter.

In any case, there were open doors, and unspiked punch, and the 2013 Valentine's Day dance was ready to welcome you all.

Caritas, Saturday

Well, the dates were over, which was good news for April, who was not a speed-dating fan, but bad news for Tino, who was convinced that April was going to kill him with her eyes or something. He was still making her elaborate drinks which she continued to simply set on the bar for display purposes, which gave April an idea. To the three-minute dates crowd at large that had yet to disperse, she announced, "Hey, guys. Whoever can order the most difficult drink from this guy gets to drink free all night. Tino's buying."

Then she chugged some beer.

April really didn't enjoy Valentine's Day week. Drinking, though. Drinking, she enjoyed.

It was Victor's birthday, and while Olive's first inclination had been to throw him a totally awesome party -- well, her track record wasn't especially great, and there'd already been the dance yesterday, anyway, and half the town was speed-dating.

So she'd opted to go the fancy restaurant route instead, with a neatly-wrapped package under her arm and her super-tall Steve Maddens on her feet. (What? She hadn't gotten to wear them to the dance for fear of twisting an ankle. Dinner seemed way less standing-intensive.)

She waited until they were settled at a table before asking the all-important: "So how's it feel to be all legal now? I can't refer to you as jailbait anymore."

Well, she could, but that road made her head hurt.

The Gig, Saturday

There were probably other things Dani could be doing on the Saturday after Valentine's Day, but Dani would much rather have the company of the horses. The odds of a Davis maintaining a happy relationship were about the same as a mule winning the Kentucky Derby, so Dani figured she was better off avoiding romance in the first place. If that meant spending her Saturday cleaning out the barn, so be it.

The Gig was open, and Dani wouldn't turn away visitors as long as they didn't get mushy on her.
