Taylor had not remembered to dress for the weather today, so she was shivering by the time she made it into the shop.

"JARVIS, make it eighty in here," she announced before lugging the most broken, overheat-y laptop she currently had to fix right into her lap. An overheating battery sounded pretty good right now.

To be honest, outside of all the chocolate, Dean hadn't really noticed the holiday yesterday. And maybe that would be why he wasn't on edge today. No, instead he was feeling like he had plenty of energy to look for a hunt or maybe work on his baby. She was due for maintenance, after all.

Dean clearly didn't remember that nothing good happens to a Winchester. Nothing.

Dances were exhausting. That was what Celia had taken away from her first, anyway -- once she had stopped feeling so exposed in her dress, she'd had rather a lot of fun, and she'd had enough punch that she'd fallen asleep on a common room couch and woken this morning in a mess of crinolines and lopsided hair. A cursory peek in her room told her that there was a boy asleep on the floor, so it was a relatively disheveled Celia who made her way into the Perk for her morning tea.

In a reverse of last night's be-gowning, she was sleepily casting illusions at herself to dull down her appearance. The pink dress lengthened and darkened, she conjured up a coat (though it had no buttons -- she was quite tired), and a wave of her hand found a ribbon to tie her curls back. By the time she reached the Perk, she felt a little more...presentable, and less like a hungover victim of couch-sleep.

By the time she settled in at a table with a strong cup of black tea, she was feeling even more normal. Even the smell was helping.

There was a brief, bright blast of blue light.

A couple of 1974 lottery tickets drifted down from between the trees and settled gently on the grass.

There was another brief, bright blast of light, but it was green this time.

And then the children came.

[[ arrive, children! ]]

Unlike his doppelganger, Priestly was entirely aware of the holiday, yesterday. He'd even gotten up early this morning to hit up a farmer's market on the mainland and pick up some supplies for the probable influx of hungry kids.

Some of them with actual superpowered appetites.

He wondered if he'd get Jane or Lena visiting this time. He wondered what would happen if they both showed up at the same time.

Was it incest if you were half-siblings across whole dimensions? Probably. It really probably was.

Nick wasn't going to ask, today. He wasn't. If there was some kind of thing going on this weekend that meant that the Arms lobby was crawling with small children and strange teenagers who seemed to know exactly where they were going, he really, really wasn't going to ask.

Nope. He was going to do a crossword puzzle at the front desk and silently pray that none of those kids were there for him.

He so lucked out.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials:
Snickerdoodle Pancakes
Milk and Peanut Butter Cookies
Jell-O

At least it all seemed safe this weekend, he supposed.

Drac was done! The play was chosen - a mystery that was modern enough, short, a little bit of humour, not too gory, and not convoluted in plot. The cast size was even just about right for the Boards! All he needed now was the players...

He stared at the poster he'd drawn up to announce rehearsals...

...

...

Perhaps Jonothon knew of an artist who could draw up a poster.

[Establishy... of a sort! See below!]

April had a band-aid over one cheek when she got to the bar today: Ben and Derek had booked her a last-minute portal so she could spend the day in Pawnee and they wound up playing roller derby, which April was not as gifted at as her boyfriends had expected she would be.

Anyway, that was her reason for not knowing that Something Was Up on Fandom Island today. But when she made it into the bar a few minutes after her shift was supposed to start and saw Tino wearing a papoose, she made the connection.

"Who's the mom?" she asked.

"The barista," Tino replied proudly.

April blew a straw wrapper at him. Then she ordered him to put up a sign out front.

After two years worth of kids -- hers and other people's -- tromping in, you'd think Bo would be able to predict when this was going to go down and dress at least vaguely like she didn't work in a particularly dangerous brothel slash martial arts studio, but in her defense, last year it happened after Prom. She thought she had at least two more months to work with here!

At least Tiny had no room to give her crap about it, Bo thought as she set up the bar and watched him explain his job as a bouncer to the three-inch-tall gossamer-winged preschooler who was riding around on his shoulder.

His shirtless shoulder with the studded leather armband just below it.

The gesture he made when Bo lifted an eyebrow in his direction was either Apparently I shrunk? or something she'd never seen a guy admit about himself ever. Bo just shook her head, said, "I don't wanna know," and gave the kid a maraschino cherry she was still nibbling on half an hour later.

Welcome to the Devil's Nest.
Yes, we card.
But we also have half-price milkshakes.
