Mindy couldn't explain what the point of taking little Jayden McCoy shopping was. None of the benefits of dressing one's child in trendy clothes were applicable here, since Jayden was not actually Mindy's child and she was going to disappear at the end of the weekend. But Mindy didn't hate spending time with her, and what was more fun than shopping?

Plus, it made her feel like one of those trendy, rich urban moms that were so common in movies, except that their casual banter with one another was much less icy and detached.

As they hauled their shopping bags into the bakery and took their sweet time making their pastry selections, Mindy was pleased to learn that Jayden was partial to the same types of desserts she was. That was a great thing to pass on to one's progeny.

Pizza Planet- Sunday afternoon

Since Derek had Petra and Talia with him, Clint and Kitty decided to take the opportunity for some time with their girl. Kitty had barely finished asking Lexi what she wanted before the answer turned out to be "pizza," because Lexi was a kid, and also because she had these two for parents.

And so far Kitty was just glad this place wasn't swarming with kids. So far. You never knew on weekends like these.

The Perk, Sunday Morning

As she'd promised, Natalie had hopped a portal from Ribeirao Preto to Fandom this morning, booked herself a room at the Arms, and then texted Jim to meet her at the Perk for family breakfast. No matter how weird it was to phrase it like that.

And so now, she was enjoying a hot chocolate at a table by the window, handling some work stuff via emails from her phone. Both because she wanted to stay on top of things and get as much done before devoting her attention to Jim and their kid, as well as to distract herself from the knowledge that for the first time in a while, there were AU kids around and neither Ada nor Lilith seemed to have put in appearance.

She didn't know how to feel about that. So she just didn't think about it.

Stark Industries, Sunday

It was already afternoon by the time Jessica got back into town, so she went straight to work. As it turned out, she had a lot to think about. Was she ready to do black ops wetwork? The ability to take lives was part of that. Could she do that? And if given the chance, would she be able to do that to the Punisher? And why was Stark's filled with toys that needed to be fixed?

Oh god. She didn't want to know if this was the thing where people turned into kids or where they got future kids. But no matter what it was, she was very glad she left the island when she did so she only had to deal with it for part of a day.

Trooper Station, Sunday

Okay, so Tamsin listened to the radio - mostly so she'd know when to expect anything with fangs showing up on her doorstep - so it wasn't like she was completely ignorant of the children's fun parade running around downtown. Did she care, though? Not really.

She ignored Ralph and his little tin-bucket-faced Mini-Me on her way in and poured herself a cup of coffee.

Which, to her credit, she didn't actually drop all over her files when a smallish (okay, not that smallish) blonde... thing... suddenly jumped in front of her from stage left and shouted, "Boo!"

"Seriously?"

Natasha was aware someone had been following her for the last day or so, and had been waiting for them to make themselves known. When they hadn't by the time she finished up with some paperwork at the gym, she decided enough was enough and stopped after locking up to say, "Well, you might as well come out."
