Diego was going on his first ever vacation and he was spending today making sure the troopers could handle things while everyone was gone. Mostly this included notes on how much running they should be doing and how to break into Danny's desk for snacks.

It was a productive day.

Greef had been adamant that he'd found a place for him to lay low, away from any lingering Imperial entanglements. Promised up and down that it was the perfect spot. But he couldn't go into any details. Of course. But like hell was he going to go hide out in New Republic territory, so this was his best option at the moment.

He brought the Razor Crest in to land where he spotted other ships since there apparently wasn't a call tower here.

He sighed and powered down the ship before glancing back at his little passenger. "It's just for a little bit."

The kid blinked those big eyes at him, ears pricking up at the sounds of the ship cooling down.

No time like the present to see if he'd gotten screwed over here or not.

Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday

Valentine's Day was over, and things were quieter, and Lucille took time to look after the bonsai. Had she ordered more of them? There seemed to be more of them. On the other hand, they weren't exactly Valentine's flowers. Tortured plants forced into the shape of old trees might not be the most romantic thing, but Lucille felt imagining the pain they might have felt should they have felt pain - which she assumed they didn't - made her care about them more. It might prolong their lifespan considerably, after all.

Having done that, she made tea and opened a book, taking a seat behind the counter.

The Beach, Saturday afternoon

Was it freezing? Yes. Yes, it was.

But that didn't matter to a very young corgi with far too much energy, so Steve and Tony had bundled up and taken Patriot out to the beach to run.

And run.

And run.

For having such short little legs, the dog could go.

"So," Steve said to Tony, shoving his hands into his coat pockets, "coffee after this? If Patriot ever, ever gets tired?"

Mystery Sign Theater 3000, Saturday

The garlands had all been taken down, the general explosion of red and pink all tidied away, and the remaining Valentine's Day candy and chocolates were on sale in the concessions stand.

In fact, judging by the marquee, the movie theater seemed to have skipped right back to a previous holiday:

Bucky didn't really know how he felt about this one, either. But at least it didn't involve two different New Yorks and the heartbreaking idea of being able to go back in time to where you belonged.

Devil's Nest, Saturday Night

At some point, Allie realized that she should probably spend some time in Fandom, instead of her current schedule of spending the week in New Eden and then heading back to Fandom for her shift. But that was a decision for another week. For now, Allie was at the bar, nursing a bottle of True Blood and debating some more ax throwing.
