With a nice trip to look forward to next week and the comfort of not having to be awkward if a certain person who had cried on her and who she let hug her and actually talked to about emo...about emooot....about feel---about things with asked anything about her Plus One, Amaya was ready to squeeze in at least two more days in the shop before shutting her down for the week and for Sunday, and part of that preparation meant finally deciding on which designs and prototypes for Dr. Leceter's silverware set she liked best, so she could put togehter a nice sampling for him to look over and consider before getting back to her, maybe, to see if he liked any of those styles or had some suggestions to go off of them.

Granted, she had also planned to hopefully take a look at some stuff while she was in the city to see if there were any inspirations with silverware up there in Boston, too, but this would give him something to chew on (get it? Because forks and knives and--you got it) while she was gone, perhaps.

Of course, she'd never once gotten back from one of these trips without about fifty other points of inspiration and new things to work on, so that was all the more reason to make sure to finish up whatever projects she had hanging around still before she left.

She still kind of wished she could take the lobsters with her, too, but she was sure they'd be in safe hands while she was gone. Honestly, she was a little more worried about the plants, but, well, Lucille owned a whole shop for plants, she was sure they would be fine!

For someone supposedly about to go on a vacation in two days, Rosa Diaz seemed surprisingly busy behind her desk that day at the office. Almost as if she was digging into some stuff and getting some wheels in motion for a case to work on while she was in Boston, or something.

...look, if she was going to be there anyway, she might as well try making a little money while she was there and getting an in with some clients there. Like any of the teachers on these trips actually chaperoned while they were there, right?

(Well, actually, some of them did, and that was actually perfect, because there were more than enough upstanding nerds to actually do their job so that she could do her job.)

There was, also, maybe one other thing that Rosa was working on to arrange to happen while they were on the trip, but, well, that was a bit more top secret than any moonlighting detective work would ever be.

It had been a long, long time since Liam had opened up his desk drawer to find it full of coffee.

So naturally, that's what he was dealing with today. Every drawer, instead of holding office supplies or random junk or files, was now just full of steaming hot coffee.

Which meant the Troopers were ignoring the perfectly functional coffee machine in favor of just taking mugs and scooping coffee out of drawers.

"That's disgusting," Liam said, as he watched Calvin do that. "You get how that's disgusting, right?"

Calvin just shrugged. Free coffee was free coffee! And this stuff didn't cool down in .5 seconds the way the stuff that the machine brewed did!

Sunday was fast approaching and while Dwight had gotten most things squared away down in the shop, he was still working on the last minute packing. He was surprising himself with how excited he was to be going, not that the fact that the last real vacation, other than a camping trip with Lizzie, was several years before she was even born.... yeah it was a bit of a big deal to be taking that much time off for himself. Everything was mostly packed and ready to go (having minimal clothes and fairly laid back sense of fashion made things like packing and outfit coordinating much, much easier!)  And so, with the duffle bag nearly ready, Dwight headed back down in the shop, cup of coffee in hand, as he sorted through the last few shipments that had come in that morning.

Class had been uneventful, as it tended to be, and Stark had wandered over to the bakery afterwards because that seemed like a good idea. The bakery always seemed like a good idea to Stark.

There was a special on Boston Cream Pies today, which he was looking at in the case curiously.

"It's a cake," he said, looking at the baker who had come up front.

"Yeah," she agreed. "But it's called Boston Cream Pie."

"But it's not a pie, it's a cake."

"I didn't name it, man, but try a slice. Pretty sure you'll like it."

The staff here knew him well enough to know he liked pretty much anything they sold. Everything they sold, really.

So Stark took his slice of cake that was inexplicably being called pie to an empty table and sat down to try it. He also pulled out his phone to try and look up some information about Boston. It couldn't hurt to know a little about the city. And maybe he could find something his companion on the trip might enjoy seeing.

Since she was heading home next week, Rey could have gone overboard with training again, but instead she'd brought a couple of the texts to the warehouse. She would be bringing them with her for translation reasons, so she was trying to be more familiar with what she wanted to focus on. Besides, she wasn't sure Anakin had ever actually seen these in person.

So if you needed Rey, she'd be sitting on the floor with her back against a crate, with a datapad and notes in front of her. She probably looked like a college student, but Jedi.

It looked to be a good day today, and Hannibal even had hope of a few more patients, so he was in his office doing paperwork and trying to find the next outlet for his hobby. Outside, in the breezeway between the office and his house, Joni and the flamingo were chasing each other back and forth, while Beethoven and the rest of the glittery flock watched. They'd probably be sharing long-suffering looks if they could.

"Yes, sir. If the alarm is chirping, that usually means the battery's run low. You're going to want to change it -- it's not chirping. Okay, but if it sounds like a bird -- it's tweeting? You mean like -- you do. On Twitter -- about your eating habits? That's just. That's not right. No, yeah, I agree, sir. You may need to get that smoke detector replaced. . . . Because you do actually need a smoke detector. . . . So you don't die, sir -- so buy one that doesn't hook up to your wifi -- okay, I definitely am not qualified to help you with what your smart fridge says about you on Tumblr. . . . Maybe . . . stop going on Tumblr? -- No, of course, you're absolutely right, the memes, sir. . . ."

All right, so Yasha's latest walkabout had taken a lot more time on this end than she had intended (and it was all for the best that she'd missed out on a few things in the meantime), but at least as soon as she realized what day it was, she headed straight for the shop without even stopping to drop her things off at the hotel.

She did, however, take a few minutes to find someplace outside where she could hang her cloak once she realized that some of the plants were starting to wilt just a bit if she got too close to them, then washed up as best she could in the break room and propped the front door open for some extra air.

So... hopefully nobody (and no plant) would be too put off by the aroma of slightly damp road-weary barbarian?

It was nice to be back among all the flowers, though. Whatever world she'd been on didn't have much in the way of greenery. She'd missed this more than she'd ever care to admit.
