Summer was having a very busy week, and the start of it was only the beginning, really, all the good stuff pretty much started tonight during her bar shift, and then would continue on through tomorrow for that much needed Galentine's Day spa date, and then whipping up a masterful array of jello shots (both SFW and NSFW!) for Irene's little party on Friday, and all that on her plate was exactly as Summer liked it, so she was just glowing and bouncing and honestly just so ready to gooooo, let's do this!

Of course, she had to deal with Tino and all that vodka, and then just blinked at him for a moment when he asked her a question he was still puzzling over after Kitty had asked it yesterday, that of course she had an answer to.

"Well, obviously," she said, helping him out by plucking one of the bottles out of his hand and going to get herself a glass, "Summer Watermelon means it's for me, thank you, don't mind if I do!"

Honestly, he should have expected that when he asked. Really, now.

There were some days when Shunsui breezed into the shop and was tempted to just breeze right back out, that had nothing to do with the threat of actually having to work or anything like that, but, instead, had to do with things like Apu-san having set up a bathtub in front of the Squishy machine and was currently sitting in it, reading a book.

It took several minutes of Shunsui opening his mouth to say something, stopping, reconsidering, tilting his head, and trying again, only to repeat the whole process, until, finally, he just came up with, somewhat witheringly, "Don't you have one of those that you can do that in upstairs, Apu-san ♥?"

Apu seemed to mostly ignore him, lifting his chin and giving a pointed flip of the page of his book. Shunsui just shook his head and went to flutter over to his usual spot behind the counter, but not before grabbing an extra bottle of sake from the liquor aisle in preparation.

"Please tell me that you're at least wearing swin trunks in there, Apu-san," he finally added, "or else I don't want to hear anyone making any more comments about me being inappropriate at work."

Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [02/09].

Of course Astrid expected it would be busy at the flower shop that day. It was less than a week until Valentine's Day, and despite there being the whole flower thing that the school did, she'd been here long enough to know that there was usually an exorbitant amount of orders from other places that came through this bizarro little flower shop before the major floral holidays that just could not be explained.

What she didn't expect, though, was that the flowers themselves....seemed to be helping? By arranging themselves and each other to make any work on Astrid's part much, much easier, which was...honestly really nice of them.

And gave her more time to cynically include poisonous flowers like oleanders into all the arrangements.

What? It was tradition, at this point.

Dite's Decadent Delights | Wednesday

Given that she was hosting a little soiree here in a matter of days, Irene was actually holding a clipboard as she wandered the shop today, making little notes and sketches and jotting down ideas for later. There would need to be spots to prominently display Amaya's steel roses, as well as -- naturally -- a showcased spot for Summer's jello shots. (Again: when in Fandom, do as the Fandomites do, and Irene had absolutely noticed that Summer's shot table had had a spotlight at Christmas.)

Fortunately, she was expecting some help as far as decorating went, so that was sorted. (Though that reminded her that she needed to pick up some dry-cleaning and have her shoes treated, because the hostess herself was, of course, one of the most important decorations of all.)

She'd also, of course, stuck up flyers in the windows as well as stashed them by the registers, just in case anyone came in who wasn't aware she was throwing a party. Maybe they'd just emerged from under a rock to buy a butt plug or three, who was she to judge?

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

The axes were finally normal. Or at least seemed that way: Octavia hadn't actually bothered to throw one and try the range out. Didn't feel like it tonight, for whatever reason.

The sound system was also behaving better than it had last night, and the soundtrack of the evening was loud rock music, heavy on the drums. Just ignore the way Octavia's fingers tapping to the rhythm against the edge of the bar occasionally became a slightly more complicated two-hand thing.

Because Octavia sure was.
