The night before had been... interesting. It had ended with Llewellyn walking Steven home, making sure Steven ate, and then spending the night in what had actually turned out to be just sleep.

Not that sleep had come easily.

Nor had the morning been much easier. Which was why, combined with the concern over Steven's loss of two days over the weekend, Steven was not alone for his shift at the museum.

This didn't mean other visitors wouldn't be welcome, of course. Frankly Steven appreciated all the distraction he could get.

Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Tuesday [10/04].

With the school trip next week, this week was mostly about finishing up any projects Amaya had unfinished, although she was finding that there really wasn't a whole lot to take care of, in that respect.

Which meant today was mostly about not giving into the urge to start new projects, or at least trying to think of a project that could benefit from being started now, be left sitting for a week, and then finished up when she got back.

And that wasn't happening, but what else was she going to do? Just tidy up? That wouldn't do. So she figured she could at least maybe churn out a nice new set of daggers or something to put on the Etsy shop, or maybe one to gift Lucille for keeping an eye on the plants and lobsters as usual while she was gone. She'd always struck Amaya as someone who'd appreciate a good dagger, really, and she still had enough time to hammer out a good fancy one before next week.

Surf's Up - Tuesday Morning

Billy had the doors to the shop open, letting the Porgs come and go as they pleased. It was nice out so he figured might as well enjoy it, even if he was stuck at work for part of the day.

He managed to get some good cleaning done and finished taking inventory for the order he had to place that weekend. One of the Porg seemed to have taken a particular interest in the swim goggles and masks. And maybe it was just Billy's head playing tricks on him, but he almost seemed sad that none of them would exactly fit all that well.

But, the shop was open and Billy and the Porg were in if anyone needed anything!

The Perk - Tuesday Morning

There was a lot to do this week between getting ready for the school trip and the research he wanted to get done before then. And Connor knew he was going to need all the extra energy that he could get.

And so, there he was sitting at a table by the window, an extra large PSL beside him as he shifted through the papers and notes he had brought with him.

How long he ended up staying there would depend on how well the note organization went and how many PSLs the barista would let him have. But for now, he was there, being surprisingly productive for now.

Someone had put a couple of fake spiders on the reception desk for Halloween decorations. Buck was pretty impressed. Like, they were small enough to be believable, but big enough to be scary, not to mention how hairy the things were--

Then one of them moved.

"In celebration of the school trip next week," Summer began the class with absolutely no regard for the feelings of anyone who might be missing out on said trip, try harder on your mooching next time, "we're going to do something a little bit different with our inspiration cupcakes this week…"

“Nothing too horrifying,” Stark said. “Unless something terrible happened when I wasn’t looking. Which could happen. It happened all summer. But we have some cupcakes inspired by France. At least they’re meant to be inspired by France. I don’t really know enough about France to say if they are. But here they are,” he continued, lifting the first cloche to reveal the French 75 inspired cupcake, followed by the wine and cheese cupcake, and finally, the brie and fig cupcake. “The last one is more of a muffin, really,” he said with a slightly disapproving expression. It looked and sounded delicious but was it really a cupcake?

"It might be more of a muffin," said Summer, "but at least it's not a monstrosity this time. And with that, everyone? Your time starts…now."

What? She just really liked saying that!

The Park; Tuesday Afternoon [10/04].

It had started in the dorms, a chance approach to the common room at the same time, distracted by greetings so that neither of them noticed the gremlin, one afflicted by that rare hunger to go biting that seemed so uncommon in this day and age, and now King Arthur and the brave, brave Brave Sir Robin set forth from the Round Table at Camelot (which was not, in fact, only a model) in their divine search, their Quest for the Holy Grail. And now they were prancing...no, no, sorry, riding....across the park on their horses that were definitely there and not just someone following behind them with two empty halves of coconuts that they were banging together.

Eventually, though, King Arthur brought his mighty steed to a neighing halt, taking a moment to look around at the fair isle their quest had led them to, and turned to his good knight. "I pray, Brave Sir Robin, if only we had some sort of sign to show us where to begin our search! Perhaps we may fare better if we should ask some of the common folk and villagers to point us in the right direction...."

Tuesday: Groovy Tunes

Taking Tisarwat at her word, Charlie had decided to surprise her new boss and turned up Tuesday to work. Who knew? Maybe she'd come back tomorrow as well. Charlie was nothing if not unpredictable.

It didn't take her long to get the sound system playing some Great Big Sea and soon she was bopping along and singing as she explored her new domain. Any visitors might catch her belting out one of the songs or perched on the counter playing along. Not to worry, though, Charlie was absolutely interruptable.

Groovy Tunes was open!!

The zombie band were playing some original country songs today as part of their upcoming album. Maybe Kitty had worked here too long but even if she wasn't big on the genre, it wasn't terrible?

The twang was all wrong though.

He ushered Tiny to the side. "Let me show you," he said.

Half an hour later, this had escalated, and the entire bar was full of tall glasses full of very strong alcohol.

The Photo Hut - Tuesday

Liz found that she didn’t have too much work to do at the store that day, especially since she had finished the photo album for Prompto that had she had been working on last week.

She decided to focus instead on the Photo Hut’s social media accounts and her own social media accounts as well since it had been a while since she had last updated them, it took her most of the morning to sort through and update them. She really needed to be better about updating them since most of the time she kept forgetting that she had them.

Once she was done with updating the social media accounts, she decided to finish doing some halloween decorating and rearranged a couple of the smaller displays with the new decorations.
