Supposedly there was a curfew, but the officer who patrolled the park never seemed to take notice of him. He sat on the bench with Snookums on his lap. He absently stroked the duck, careful to avoid the razor sharp teeth. He sat in the cold sparkling clear night and watched the movements of the heavens, blowing smoke up at the stars.

As the residents of Fandom Town wake up to yet another bright and beautiful morning, they find red ribbons draped and tied to almost everything that would stand still. Quite a few of the flat, vertical surfaces in town have also been decorated with (water-soluble) red paint in various Red-inspired designs. In addition to the paint work, though, you can also find these:

Plastered up every few yards.

Amanda is in her office, having some coffee and reading over various things but she's available if she is needed. What she is looking at is not all that clear, but they might be blueprints.
[identity profile] allison-dubois.livejournal.com
Allison is pacing her kitchen. Anyone near her house last night would have heard her wake up screaming. Now she's nursing a cup of coffee and pacing. Her dreams have been horrible lately and the woman is terrified.

Michael stared out the front window. What the heck had happened last night? Vandals weren't usually that...perky. Nor did they use bows. He finally saw the flyer and nodded to himself. He plucked some red ribbon from the craft section and one of those ACME bow maker things and started making little ribbon bows that you could pin to your lapel.

The sign remains in the window:

"The Emporium will be closed Saturday/Sunday. Stock up now! We will reopen on Monday."

((ooc: I will be out of town Sat morning - Sun evening, hence sending Michael and Ben on a romantic weekend out of Fandom. :) ))

In honor of Mayor Red, the flower boxes outside the shop have burst into red blooms, and a red ribbon has been tied around the bell on the shop door. Inside, Aziraphale is tidying the shop and setting out tea for his guests customers.

[OOC: Attention customers: anyone entering the shop after Jonathan Crane will encounter this. Don't say you weren't warned. (This isn't to say you can't interrupt, though. In fact, it might be a good idea if someone did. ;))]

[The shop is now closed.]

A brisk run, a quick jump in the town fountain and Red was ready for the day. From his shop window, he could see part of the cheerily decorated town.

The cubs played energetically behind the counter. Feeling much better than yesterday, Red went about cleaning and straightening the shop for the day.

Tara wraps her stole around herself, worrying that she's completely overdressed, but wanting to make a good impression on her... well... not girlfriend, is she? Is she? On Kate, anyway.

The booking was for 7pm, hopefully giving them plenty of time to chat before curfew drives them hope to their respective beds. Or, with any luck, Shane's bed.

She looks around, shifting her weight from one foot to the other as she waits for Kate to appear.

[OOC: Ching Tai's is an NPC restaurant, and therefore can be opened by anyone. They have good food. Visit yourself, sometime!]
[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com
In the midst of all the torrent of red bows allllll over the town (which makes Kiki feel both festive and aptly-dressed), there is one single bright purple bow. It is tied to the smooth, hand-carved handle of a brand-new broom which has been left leaning against the door to the shoppe.

A small, white tag dangles from the bow. It reads, "Tonks - I hope you can use it! -Kiki."

Lana just needed to get away from the school for a bit - needed some time to think things over. She went down by the water and sat out on one of the rocks, staring out at the waves. She let the sounds soothe her, watching the repetitive motion of the waves.

After a while she pulls out a copy of "Bet Me" and settles down to read in the sunshine. She's more than willing to chat with anyone who stops by.

Most of the town's revellers are good little children, hurrying in doors. A few figures, however, (camouflaged by magic which shall not be explained), scurry around the town, stopping at doorways and lamp posts before continuing on. Giggles can be heard, by those close enough.

For their adventures, read on...

[Leaving Red's she feels a little woozy. Nothing a sandwich and a latte won't fix. She pops in for a late lunch, sitting by herself.]

Business was going good. Tex' mood however was rapidly getting worse. Her fourth day out of armour and now there was a curfew in town. Really not funny. She placed the glove of her armour underneath the counter in case Yazoo would drop by later to take those measurements. Moving to the door, she flipped the open sign and frowned as she realised the entire town was decorated in red. Shaking her head, she went to sit behind the counter.

Maybe it was withdrawel. Before O'Malley, she'd go on leave for a week or so and it never bugged her to go out of armour. Now, she felt antsy. The fact that her back was itching as the skin was healing didn't help either. Scowling at the data pad in her hand, she continued her research.

Signs at the door:

Just in: Peacekeeper weapons
Pulse pistol and Pulse rifle

Special offer: gas mask and goggles
Price: $46
Students: $37

[OOC: Sorry folks. Time got away with me today. First time I've logged on all day. This can be slow-played.]

Kawalsky was the first to arrive. He had his own skates, so after unlocking the room where they were keeping the equipment down at the rink in town, which Mr Bombay had kindly loaned them, Charlie hit the ice to warm up.

"Hey guys," he called to the others as they arrived. "Equipment's over there." He pointed to the room off the side. "Get in full gear. We're gonna try some exercises this week."

[OOC: Thanks to these lovely ladies there are girly stickers on the pucks, girly stickers and fabric on the hockey sticks, and other girly stuff on the jerseys.]

The Fandom Town Police Department sends out the evening patrol. If any students are in town close to the 10pm curfew, they will be able to get a police officer to escort them back to campus if they wish.
[identity profile] ac-brothers.livejournal.com
After much debate between the brothers, they decided to open the Pub even though there would be a party in the park (according to the flyers) for the Mayor. If business was too slow, they would close early.

edited:

The OPEN light flickered to life and the doors were unlocked in the event there were customers interested in drinking and not partying.

The crowd was thin to almost nonexistant. Kadaj gave last call and closed the Pub early. Either it was the curfew or the party that was killing business. He broke down the bar and did a quick clean up before he closed the Pub for the night.
[identity profile] lilah-esq.livejournal.com
Lilah sits in her office reading a magazine researching the Orb of Thesulah problem for Angelus. Her feet are propped up on the desk and she's close to dozing off. She is very, very busy.

Really.

Occasionally she wonders where her new employee is, but then she decides that it's not her problem.

[He sits in the sand listening to the waves break. He tracked the fine movements of the stars with his eyes. He couldn't believe what he had done. Tempting was one thing, but rarely did his true demon nature take over like it had today. The seething rage, the delicious hatred, the desire to destroy the Witch from the inside out. He'd never wanted anything more...except the angel. Except to be forgiven. Except to go home. Since that wasn't an option, her absolute destruction would have to suffice. He smiled, watching the sea creatures as the lay dying in the receding tide.]
[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com
"I used to come out here sometimes late at night and wander about," Lana said musingly. "I kind of got into the habit back home and since it's such a small town here, too, I never thought much about it. I mean, I'd never do that in a big city like Metropolis, but..." She sighs. "Oh well, Better be safe for now, I guess."
[identity profile] ludwigsayswhat.livejournal.com
Ludwig grumbles moodily as he stalks through the shop, then pulls the front curtains open with particular vim. He eyes with interest the red ribbons decorating the trees before crossing back to the other side of the room. He pulls out a piece of ink-stained manuscript and busies himself with his latest composition.

[OOC: Slow-played, before heading out to Red's party.]
