Leaving the scene and letting Loz get Kadaj back to their house, Yazoo didn't bother to go get his bike. As close to town as he already was, it was just a matter of getting to the park.

He slid to a stop in front of the box, looking around at a way to knock...or announce his presence. There wasn't a lot of time.

The Emporium is open -- Monday

Michael opens the shop in the midst of overseeing the workers from the glass company. They're installing a different type of window -- and adding an odd-looking bar (that just might be a perch) on the outside of the building -- high up under the eaves of the first floor shop space.

Red's is Open

Getting some of the men from the town hall to help, Red trotted ahead to open the shop so they could move the gift his secret santa gave him into a corner of the shop.

Castor and Pollux, sensing something new, peered around the counter. Once the men left, they crept out of their hiding place to investigate.

While Red got the shop ready for business, the cubs were all over it, sniffing at every nook and cranny until Pollux was perched on top...all the way on top of the towering thing and Castor dangled from one of the posts after being unseated by Pollux.

Phale's Book Shop: Open

After classes, Marty unlocks the door to the bookshop and makes sure that everything is set up for what he is sure to be a busy day of not selling any books whatsoever.

After disorganizing the books so nobody can find anything in particular, he settles down in one of the comfy chairs and pours over the book that both Parker and The Tick had given him.

Secret Santa Reveal!

All around the town and school go up invitations to come to the park in the afternoon to guess your Secret Santa!

There is a note added to the fliers that reads, "ALL who signed up for Secret Santa, please come! Even if you were neglected or did the neglecting. And everyone else is invited to watch, too!]


[Interaction (guesses, denials, etc) can go in the first thread, but when you come to Kiki to tell her specifically that you've figured out your Santa, please use the second thread! Just helps me keep everything straight. Thanks!]

EDIT: Actually, that's kind of confusing. Really, the point is just to let people interact and have fun guessing their Santas in a casual get-together. It doesn't matter which place you post to to talk to Kiki and check the list, just so long as you make it CLEAR to me that you're speaking to Kiki. I don't want to cross off names prematurely :)

Fly By Night, Monday afternoon

Ivanova enters the shop and slumps down in the chair while Jack has temporarily vacated it for a coffee refill.

"Hey!" he barks, turning.

Ivanova just gave him a flat look. "Finals. Get over it." She reaches into her bag and pulls out the last of the truffles she had bought yesterday and popped it in her mouth, a warm feeling spreading through her as the Cheering Charm kicked in. She even, grudgingly, gave Jack back his chair and disappeared into the Back to tinker with the literal heaps of mechanical bits and pieces. Jack just grumbled and went back to reading his newspaper.

"She could have at least offered me a chocolate . . ."

Caritas, OPEN (Monday Night)

After spending the day working on his present for Parker, Jarod was on a bit of a sugar buzz and had definitely caught the holiday spirit. He asked the band to play something "festive," which resulted in a version of "Silent Night" with a lot of guffawing from the band at the "virgin" lyrics.

He didn't see what was so funny. He had brought his gifts for Lorne and Parker with him. He was a little nervous about the gift for his employer, never having bought a present for a demon before. The gifts to Parker...well, he'd put his heart into them, so maybe that would count for something.

Luke's Diner [Monday Evening]

Luke's is open and it's festively decorated with tinsel, lights and the ornaments Lorelai made the students make in detention. He scowls every time he sees glitter, which, given te amount of glitter Lorelai encouraged them to use, is pretty much all the time.

He writes a sign and sticks it in the window.

Apartment for Rent above diner. No students. Pets okay. Rent negotiable. Talk to Luke.

Now that he and Lorelai have the house on the mainland, they won't need to stay in town and he figures they can use the extra cash and the extra security of having someone around when the diner isn't open.

Spike's Pub is Open 12/19

They got back in late and slept the rest of the day, what little they could rest.

Caving, they headed into town and opened up the pub. Everything was ready and Loz set up the pool table to play, anything to take his mind off of what happened Sunday night.

Yazoo flipped mindlessly through the channels on the TV until he found a music video station and left it there. Music with visuals, always good for a distraction.

Kadaj was at the bar, ready, the sign was on and Spike's was open for business.

We're off to go shopping!

Rogue and John are standing in front of the NPC Army Surplus store. Rogue is wrapped up nice and warm, but John looks a little chilly.

"So are you going to be buying a camo coat or what?" she asks as they walk in.

[[OOC: This was supposed to happen, like three or four days ago, but since LJ is being kind of a bitch, there was a mix up, and it's happening now.]]

NPC Upscale Deli

"Parker," said Janet as she left a voice mail. "You know how to spend money. I have Dr. Pierson's credit card, and instructions to--and I quote--'go to town' when buying for the assistants' party. Therefore, we are going to go to town. Want to help me spend somebody else's hard-earned cash?"

Janet smiled smugly and walked into the NPC Upscale Deli to wait for Parker.
