Caritas--Wednesday--Openish

After receiving an early morning phone call from a traumatized Tino about Lorne's abrupt departure, Jarod made his way over to Caritas, where he spent the day trying to understand the bar's recordkeeping system, the ordering and bookkeeping, and the magic.

$400 a week to keep the zombie band in fresh brains? He had no idea whether that was expensive or not. Maybe he'd ask Veronica. $1000 a quarter for sanctuary spell maintainence seemed a bit steep as well. Hmmm.

As for the bar itself? Without Lorne, it seemed to have lost some of its sparkle and luster.



[ooc: No readings, obviously, but anyone who wants to come in and drink, sing, hang out, or buy something for shop class is welcome. Also? This is a morning/afternoon/early evening post. I'll make another Caritas post later. Fear the OCD.]

All and Sundries, 2/8

The Valentine's Display still has its decorative turnips, however, someone appears to have had a bit of a creative binge and stuck small turnips on skewers, carved them into the shapes of roses and put a lovely bouquet of a dozen roses turnips in the middle of the table covered in little bears with magnets in their mouths that draw them together to kiss.

Blackadder is behind the counter reading a book on the English monarchy and apparently finding it quite droll.

Lucas couldn't sleep and was bored and shared a brain with a student from the shop class so he decided to open up shop early while he puttered around on his computer playing yahoo!pool looking up whatever he could find on excommunicated Italian architects .

Today's music mix, all German, all the time: Rammstein, Die Toten Hosen, Die Frisore, Blumchen, Nena, and what sounds suspiciously like an old cartoon's theme song are all included.

The Park, near the lake and the ducks and the benches, Wednesday morning

Agatha decided that today, the shop would just stay closed. Instead, she enjoyed the nice weather and walked to the park. She had some old cereal to try to feed the ducks, and she was mostly just thinking about her life, and what was going on in it. This Fandom Town was highly irregular. Nothing was the same as back home, and the people were different as well. But everyone seemed nice enough.

Thinking all this, she sat on a bench, and emo-d stared off into space.

The Cat Business Office, Wednesday

A stack of papers and reports almost Baron-high was neatly piled on his table and was being generally ignored as the Baron paced the office, thinking and waiting for Toto to check in. He needed something to distract him.

Outside the Kwik Stop, Wednesday

Silent Bob nodded, thoroughly involved in Jay's enthusiastic reenactment of a battle royale. With theme song! When Jay got to the bit involving the mob of superheroes and wizards, he got actively involved. So basically they ended up pretending to maul each other while Jay continued wailing, "This is the ultimate showdoooown . . ."

The Perk - lunchtime

Around Town -- Hanging Up Poster Sign Things

Orlin is putting up invitational posters for his and Camulus' party on Friday night. All over, everywhere. He's excited, so he's more silly than usual. Think of a puppy when its excited, that's how he is right now.

He's just hanging the posters on light poles, and maybe even a few store windows. Its fun. Tape will hold them up... right?

Cafe Fina, Wednesday

As Alfred set out the tables, he started to wonder if maybe he was spending too much time in the restaurant. He ought to get out more. Perhaps he could alter the hours? No, that would break a promise he had already made.


Maybe he should think about hiring more help.

Caritas, Wednesday, OPEN

There are papers spread all over the bar after today's adventures in accounting and Jarod had already spent a good chunk of the day finding out that there was a lot more to running a bar than there was to being a bartender.

This afternoon had been busy, considering Caritas wasn't usually open during the daytime, but ultimately profitable. He opened the bar and spent a few minutes arguing with the band--seemed that they wanted a raise now that Lorne wasn't around to run herd on them.

"With the price of brains what it is? Forget it!"

He went stomping back behind the bar, occasionally glaring at the zombies.

Wonka's Sweets Shoppe - OPEN

Tonks opened the shop, not daring to admit to herself that she is more than a little nervous. She is worried about Ivanova, about the state of affairs back in her London, about little things like the way a charm does not seem to be sticking. Her nerves are frayed, she's consuming caffeine like it's cheap crack, and she's a little too eager to please today.
