Lana found herself up early this morning, but without work or classes until after lunch. after talking with Marie about Selkie's Cove last night she found she really missed the peacefulness of it and decided that this lovely cool morning would be a perfect time to go sit on the rocks and watch the waves.

After a stop to grab some chai and a pastry, Lana made her way out to her favorite watching rock. She spread out the blanket she'd brought and made herself comfortable.

Ah... she'd missed this.

[OOC: Absolutely open. Feel free to come chat or commune with Lana or find yourself another rock entirely to sit on. :) ]

Jamie opened up Empire Records and settled down behind the counter with a copy of Rolling Stone so he could keep up with the latest music trends because that totally counts as working. Totally.

Baldrick has positioned himself in the frozen food section with his turnips and several bags of peas.

All the while muttering something about a "Cold War".

All and Sundries is open.

Barbossa was in the studio listening to clips from the last few radio broadcast tryouts and making notes.

Most of the notes were things like "Be lockin' up the liquor cabinet."

So the radio broadcast was running a little late when he finally flipped the microphone on and began his address. "It be Thursday, which be makin' me the pirate 'n this Wine, Wenches 'n Song. I be playin' yer requests--assumin' I be likin' the music, o' course--'n answerin' all yer relationship-type questions. The phone lines be open. Bother me."

Barbossa flipped on Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion," cranked the volume way, way up and waited for someone to call.

After her war theory class, Honor made her way to The Perk for lunch. The sandwiches there weren't exactly gourmet, but they were good, and the hot chocolate wasn't bad, either. Grabbing a tuna salad on wheat, a medium hot chocolate, and a container of chicken salad for Nimitz, she settled in at a table near the window. Nimitz crawled up into the overstuffed chair opposite her and ate with his best table manners...or as best as he could manage without using silverware.

If they got a few strange looks from the other customers, they chose not to notice.

[Open for your Perk-ish needs.]

Cafe Fina

Alfred opened up Cafe Fina on Thursday instead of Walter. Why? Because it was Walter's birthday. He was... seventy-six.

...

Alfred decided that it was best just to think of it as "Walter's birthday" and that the boy was fifteen.

Phoebe was slightly surprised to see how much duct tape some of the zombie band members were wearing.

Shaking her head, she made sure all of their parts were correctly attached and then she opened the doors.

Caritas was open.

Cally was out at the beach, despite the partial cloudiness. She wasn't planning on a swim, but instead was sitting at the edge of the water, letting the waves splash up over her bare toes. She had her waterproof sack with her, and pulled out a single slice of toast from it, wrapped in paper towel.

She nibbled at it as she thought and contemplated. Images of friends gone, moved on, disappeared, lost forever. Relationships, friends and loves, all but shadows and memories left to cling to.

[ooc: Open, of course.]
[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com
Conner had heard rumors of a soccer-playing nun in town. He found this fascinating on quite a few levels.

Not that this had anything to do with the fact that he was currently dressed in his bright red (what other kind, seriously?) soccer outfit, kicking a bright red soccer ball (sense a theme here?) around on the grass.

. . . no, honestly, it really didn't. It'd be a bonus, sure, but hey, he was out on the grass with a soccer ball. It didn't get much better than this.

[OOC: Open! Get your park-y groove on!]

The npc evening employee had called out sick, so Maureen was manning the counter and reading the copy of Rolling Stone magazine that Jamie had left behind.

It was a nice night and she wished she were anywhere but here.

[store is technically open; but will be slow play from me as I'm wrapped up in other threads.]
