nun-better.livejournal.comSister Rosette stood at the graveyard gate, leaning on one of the pillars of the stone arch and watching Chrono wandering among the tombstones with a deep frown. "Come on, Chrono, stop all this," she said, gripping an umbrella over her shoulder. It wasn't raining yet, but it certainly did seem like it could start at any time. And she didn't know how long she'd be at this. "Come inside, please. I've already put locks on all the crypts; you're not slinking into them."
Chrono didn't respond. Just kept drifting, drifting, head lowered, face pale and wan. Rosette sighed. She hadn't seen him like this in years...what had happened to make him behave like he had....before? It was like they were back in Michigan, back when she and Joshua first found him. He just kept...drifting. Occationally, his hands would drift up to his head, just behind the temples, and let out something like a sob. Each time he did that, Rosette cringed, like she was being stabbed.
"Oh, Chrono...Please...."
He had to relapse while she had a terrible headache from last night, didn't he? Occationally, she glanced over her shoulder, to see if anyone might want anything. She had no intention of leaving Chrono when he was like this. If anyone needed anything, they could handle it themselves...
She stamped her foot on the ground. "Chrono! God dammit! Don't make me come over there and kick your ass!"
He just glared at her; she sighed, leaning back against the pillar. "Stupid demon..."she muttered to herself, "Oh, boo hoo, eternity in misery, blah blah blah. At least he's had more than thirty years..."
[[ open and emo; though, if you show up after John, you'll be dealing with just the emo demon. ]]
