In preparation for Halloween, an event Braca has never participated in, he's on the internet, browsing through costumes. His goal? To find the scariest, the best, the most awe inspiring costume there is.

He probably should get off the pretty princesses page of costumes then...

It took just a night of having them out to make Setsuna realize that she hadn't used her wings in a very, very long time. She'd forgotten how much they could hurt after so much disuse; putting them back in for the night hurt, which made made cuddling with Jude after the party difficult, but thankfully still doable, although, once he fell asleep, the pain was so acute that she remained awake and uncomfortable. They wanted to be used, not just displayed. So, still in her white dress, Setsuna carefully crawled out of bed, being very careful not to disturb him, and slipped outside. Her wings unfurled again easily and, with a deep breath, she set off for a late night flight, the moonlight guiding her way...

...It'd been so long...It felt...so good...

...but it was a lot of work. Setsuna made it to the park before she needed a break, carefully landing and perching herself on a bench, feet carefully poised and balanced on the edge of the back and she sat looking over the pond, wings stretching behind her. She sniffed, realizing that she was crying a little. She wasn't sure if it was from the pain of using her wings again, or the beauty of it.

Lana got to work a little late this morning. It had been incredibly hard to leave Jim's bed, but she'd promised him that, since there were no classes, once she got home she was all his till Wednesday. She looked incredibly happy and was wearing another turtleneck. Anyone coming into the store would probably find her rather daydreamy as well.

Jane shuffled up to the store to discover the sign and a note left by Baldrick.

That's just great. Now she needs to find a new person to manage the store for her while she's drunk away.

All and Sundries is open.

And hiring.

Chad was there. Chad was working. Mostly on homework, but it was still working. He went with classic rock today; can't go wrong there, and prepared for another exciting shift at Empire Records.

There was a sign posted in the window of Sparky's

PUMPKINS TO CARVE
HERE

Since they had already agreed to work today, they decided to make the best of it and do some last minute pre-halloween fun. They'd spread newspaper on the front counter and started working on the mini pumpkins they'd got, using some patterns they'd found online the other day.

On the way back from the Halloween party last night, Marie and Jamie had discovered that part of the park had suddenly (and bizarrely) been transformed into a pumpkin patch.

After exploring the patch the idea came up to see if the story told by "Minus" from "It's the Fantastic Gourd Charles Beige" was really true.

So armed with a tent, sleeping bags, a laptop, DVD's and a handwavy invitation to Willow and English to join them, a small camp has been set up in the park to wait for the Fantastic Gourd to appear.

[ooc: The camp is locked to [livejournal.com profile] touchablemarie, [livejournal.com profile] willbedone and [livejournal.com profile] once_a_king. Great Pumpkinfest is open for all! Wait for the OCD is up!

The bonfire is open for all! Please be bringing your food and drinks. If you wish to stay overnight use the camp thread or if you have a tent use your own journal if you want privacy. If your character wants prezzies please sign into the appropriate thread.

Happy Halloween!]

Sure, it was Monday, but no one ever came to confessionals anyway and tomorrow was Halloween. So Rosette and Chrono were busy outside the church today, decorating it approriately for the holiday and making plans to set up the graveyard in a particularly spooky way for any visitors who might want an additional scare.

And, a bit aside from the frivolity of the decorations, she and Chrono were also doing the necissary (and subtle) arrangements to make sure that certain spirits and hollows didn't get any ideas about coming up for visits for the season. A nun of the Magdalene Order knew better than to leave a graveyard unattended during Halloween; it was usually one of their busiest times. But she was well stocked on ammo and wards and so, unless they missed a spot or two, which they probably had and should be too big of a deal, Our Lady of Fandom was well protected against any possible unruly spirits.

Except the one that ran the place. Nothing could really be done about the nun herself.

[[ open for all your churchly needs, although I've got report from hell to freak out about right now ]]

After his confrontation with Sam earlier, Jarod found himself bracing every time the door to Caritas opened, unsure what, or who, to expect. The zombies, at least, were happy to see him, and regaled him with stories of how horrible Sam was at first aid.

It was petty, but it made him feel a bit better.

He was now engaged in studying the little bottles of alcohol, unsure of exactly what to do with them.

Marty had spent the entire weekend trying to avoid the memories of that day. In fact for the past year he had done his best to avoid this particular street unless absolutely necessary, let alone the alley.

It wasn't until he stepped in between the buildings that used to be a restaurant and a law firm that he noticed he was sweating despite the coolness of the evening and that he was gritting his teeth. He forced himself to relax slightly and take a couple of deep breaths before slowly walking toward the spot where it happened.

After standing there a few minutes he finally bent over and laid an arrangement of flowers near one particular wall. He closed his eyes for a few moments and then turned to walk away.

"I'm sorry Kitty," he whispered

And with that said? He left as quickly and quietly as possible.

Teddy was doing the mash. The monster mash. It was a graveyard smash.

It was Halloween and that meant dressing the two dingbots in silly costumes because he needed to release all those evil villain urges somehow. He taped a pair of wings to Emo's head and handed Goth a martini. They were the best Captain America and Iron Man costumes a pair of robots could hope for.

He even brought a bowl of candy into the shop for the off chance someone might stop by.
