Apu?

Still thinks he's a hummingbird.

Jane?

Taking the day off.

Good luck.

After flipping through her big book of religious holidays, Rosette figured that t he date for today was just way too cool to just celebrate something like Martin of Tours.

SATURDAY:
11/11
Make a wish!
If it's gonna come true on any day, this is probably it.

And don't forget to remember your Veterans today, too.

She was willing to convert the baptimal fount into a wishing pool for today and has busied herself in the morning by slicing up lots of long sheets of papers after reading about the Japanese tradition of tying wishes to trees. After that, she went to the graveyard to pluck little American flags (why did they look a little strange, though? Different than she remembered...) into graves she thought or knew to be held by veterans.

[[ open for all your churchly needs; please specify if you come in to the church or come say hi while she's in the graveyard ]]

Saturday was never a good day to go to work... but the evening seemed to promise some interesting events, so they weren't entirely down about it.. plus! The engine had come in, and the twins were excited to see if that go-cart would start working now.

Sparky's is open.

Becky was bored, so she wandered over to Caritas.

Upon finding that its owner wasn't in, and neither was that obnoxious spiky-headed kid, she sighed at Tino.

"What the hell?" she asked.

Tino shrugged.

Becky checked the time, and decided that if that hair kid hadn't shown up, he wasn't going to, and she wanted a drink now.

So she opened Caritas herself. And if she hadn't been sure Tino would tattle, she would have started charging a cover and keeping all the profit for herself. As it was, she wasn't planning on mixing any drinks she didn't like herself. People were just SOL if they wanted anything fancy.

[I'm aroundish. Becky's in a bad mood, though.]

Alfred firmly believed in honoring veterans of past wars.

Of course, a lot of the veterans he was honoring wore tights and capes, but they fought bravely none the less. We shan't forget them just because of their poor fashion sense.
