Lana opened the store on time and got everything all straightened up and ready for customers. It was a new month and Lana was looking forward to fresh starts.
Turtle had been really slacking off on trying to get the copy of the will translated, so she was mostly working on that today, with hopes that the new register would arrive today. She really hoped that there wasn't something wrong with shipping. Either way, she still got to say random things that she'd picked up in Polish from her translating efforts that she's throw at Apu, and he'd throw something back that she couldn't understand either, and then Liz would bark and the SquishyBot would gurgle and Turtle found this all to be quite amusing.
Hikaru and Kaoru opened the shop right on time, science textbook and guitar at hand. As usual, each sat boredly behind the counter, waiting for customers as they did their homework and took turns fleeing to class.
...there's also a Xander, yes, poking at the computers in between making phone calls and searching through desk drawers trying to find anything that looks like blueprints for the brand-new floors that suddenly appeared in the sub-basement. As such things do.
The office is open for tenants or anybody else who'd like to stop in.
Tori didn't feel like being cooped up in the dorms after class, so she decided to head down the beach.
It didn't matter that it was cold outside, Tori was dressed appropriately for the weather. She had thrown on her blue hoodie and ski vest over it. The pair of blue jeans she had on were fine enough. She was warm.
Making her way to Serenity Cove, Tori breathed in the air and just stood there staring at the water. It was a good place to come and think or just relax. And after all that had been going on this week, Tori was is need of some relaxation.

Jude might now be humming the theme from Wendy the Werewolf Hunter.
Phoebe was talking to the zombies as she repaired the drummer again. Usually, this wasn't a surprise. However, tonight, the zombies kept exchanging confused looks as they listened to her. They really weren't sure what to make of her tonight.
Ah well.
They don't get paid to figured out the women that worked there.
Neil was at the Nest bright and probably annoyingly earl, as was his general habit on the nights he worked. He greeted Mazikeen with a smile and a friendly wave but had learned not to try to initiate conversation with her.
This still didn't win him umbrella rights. Le sigh.
Checking over the bar to make sure it was properly stocked for the night, Neil settled in to work on cleaning the place, wall to wall and sling drinks as necessary.
Despite the warmer clothing and the two thermoses of hot beverages she has with her, Mel is still cold. There's something to be said for 200 years worth of global warming.
"I've got hot chocolate or coffee," Mel said to her fellow patrolee buddy. "Whatcha want?"
