Not Tiddles was sprawled on the post office counter when Annette walked in, meticulously licking her paws. Annette, being the nice animal loving girl she was, petted her from head to tail, making her hind end stick up ten inches from the counter. Just as soon as Annette's fingertips left the tip of her tail, however, Not Tiddles turned around and swiped at her hand with her paws.

"Owww! Bad kitty! Psssssssttt! Go on! Shoo!" Not Tiddles totally looked unaffected and laid back down and hiked a leg straight up to the stars and proceeded to lick her you know what.

Annette made a face and mumbled something about the cat's water dish and rum and turned and walked towards the back of the office, digging in her pocketbook for...something.

(wait for le ocd is up)

Tori opened the bookstore and set out tea, coffee and pastries for potential customers. Taking a seat behind the counter, she sighed.

Yes, she was missing Aiden and Kimberly terribly.

As hard as she tried, she couldn't really concentrate on her notes. Flipping through a notebook, she found a page with colored scribbles and 'I love you, mommy' written on it. Yeah, that just made her more melancholy.

But, she couldn't help but crack a smile at the thought of him running around, safe and sound back home. And to have gotten the chance to known both him and Kimberly made her feel a bit happier. It had been a great few days, that was for sure.

The kids left last night and Teddy found himself moping around Sparky's. He missed them already.

No work getting done now.

Everything in the church had been cleaned twice over, the banners were dusted, Saint Joe's eyepatch was straightened, and all the booze had been hidden (and the still room locked). Rosette was even wearing the habit without the slits and without the armor corset that suddenly appeared in book three. Chrono's shoes were shined.

But there was no Remington. Not yet. Rosette, finding trying to seem all proper absolutely exhausting, dropped into a pew with a groan. "Geeeeez, what's taking him so long?" she whined. "It isn't like he's got that far to go, only eighty years!" She thunked her head on the back of the pew; Chrono gave it soft, comforting pats.

[[ expecting a very specific visitor (YAY!), but open for all your churchly needs! ]]

Ducks were gathering near the bench, hoping the man there would feed them. Lucifer though, had not brought them any food and was just idly watching them waddle toward him before retreating again as they tried to see if he brought any bags from JGoB. Smart ducks.

[[ooc: Lucifer is there to meet someone, but the park is open]]

Magic Box - Wednesday

It seemed unusually quiet in the shop today. Giles wasn't quite ready to admit he missed entertaining two children and trying to keep them out of trouble, but the truth was he did.

Even if his brain still glossed over who their mothers were.

The Magic Box was open.

It had been one of those days when Chad wasn't really sure it was actually a real day, because too many weird things had happened, but, in a way, he was grateful for that because it made him stop thinking about Orden for a bit. A bit, anyway, because having that kid there opened up a whole light on a potential future that he really didn't know what to think about. And then there was Pippi leaving (which really just made him want to call up Orihime or, hell, fly to Japan just to hug her and then fly back with her in his pocket) and a disturbingly chipper voicemail from Zero, which, of course, didn't have him panicking, because it was hard to get Chad to really panic, up until that last part.

Ba-link.

Sing? Backup? Chad was spending a lot of time today just staring. A lot.

Today's music: Zeppelin. Immigrant Song specialty.

[[ empire's open ]]

The weather was a bit better than the previous week, and there didn't seem a need this time for the tarps and awnings. The portable heaters were there, however, to take the chill from air as night drew on. Just before dusk, the temporary movie screen was set up. There was a large open area in front of it, where movie-goers could spread out blankets or set up lawn chairs. Some people were already gathered, picnicking while the sun set.

[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threads will be have been set up for your movie-going use. Anyone who needs the park for other purposes will find that the outdoor cinema takes up only a portion of the park, with plenty of space available for non-movie needs.]

Unlike the others who had become suddenly-parents for the weekend, Kabuto was not in the least bit upset that the children were gone. To be honest, he was more than glad that he no longer had to deal with it.

As the narrowed eyes behind the glasses would suggest, however, he was annoyed. It was for other reasons, but it still put him in a rather foul mood, and he wasn't looking forward to playing bartender tonight.

But the Devil's Nest was open, anyway.
[identity profile] jarodpretends.livejournal.com
Jarod had seen the portal yesterday, and seen Catie hug Parker goodbye from across the park, but hadn't been able to make himself go over there. Yes, she was adorable. M had finally come out from under the bed, although she was still a bit wary of the water dish for reasons that remained a mystery. But the idea of having a family with Parker--when her father had been the one to take his away--it didn't sit right with him.

He went about his business and opened the bar, hoping it would be a quiet night.

[ooc: Open, but I am not feeling great, so please mod Tino wherever possible. Jarod's still here, but I may be slow to ping back.]
