Café Fina, Tuesday

Today was a special, magical day in Café Fina.
Today was the day that the last cake-tetrad fell and finished Lumiere's staircase to the new wine-cellar.
It was amazing what a little ingenuity and some baking-gone-bad could do.

Today's Specials Board reads:
We have a staircase! Come in and admire it!

Well, it had seemed special enough to Lumiere, anyhow.

(I promise I'll write a more inspired Fina post later this week! Today is very much with the moddy mod mod. Today shall be full of work and crazy-at-home-wut.)

Magic Box, Tuesday

Giles was at his desk in the corner, going through his old journals, along with the copies he had of other Watchers' journals. It had started as idle speculation that had flowed out of his train of thought yesterday, but it was weirdly addictive. So now Giles was going through and rating each apocalypse for originality, weirdness and potential destructive power.

The Magic Box was open.

The school was a big smoking pile of rubble. So Sokka was just a little jumpy. And the fact that he had ruined all his chocolate last weekend didn't help.

He made sure he was packing boomerang when he left for work this morning, and the familiar weight on his back helped him feel safer as he put on his spiffy hat and opened the post office.

He spent all day looking around nervously -- in case the post office were suddenly blown up by aliens, too. And he used a bit of string with a knot on the end to train and hone Not Tiddles's hunting reflexes.

[Sokka's going to be twitchy with the boomerang today. If the sheriff wants to come by and call him on it, that's perfectly all right by me.]

Tori opened up the store after her mun's internet decided to behave and set out the refreshments for the customers. She took a seat behind the counter, wondering if she'd recognize any of the new students that would be arriving Friday.

Anxious for the summer session to start, Tori remembered that she had a beach party to look forwad to. It was turning out to be a great day.

Sparky Repairs, Tuesday

John opened Sparky Repairs. Cuz.. he was the only employee that week.

He'd have to fix that, cuz he wouldn't be here forever. Woe.

He put a "Help Wanted" sign on the door and prepared to interrogate prospective employees.

There were no classes.  And it was a very warm - hot to Katara - sunny afternoon.  So after making a few calls to people, she and Molly packed bags and lunches to head down to the beach.

Katara  was simply gleeful about a new bathing suit and towel.  She spread the towel out happily and flopped on it before looking over at Molly.  "I still say we just skip all our workshops and spend the summer here."

[OOC:  Open to anyone who wants to join the girls on a beach day.  Feel free to say you got a telephone call from one of them.]

Thankfully the zombies were already taped up pretty well so Dick didn't have to do much before opening up the bar. The zombies seemed thankful for this since Dick was notoriously bad at taping on limbs.

Caritas was open.

Photo Hut, Tuesday

Where was Leo? Good question. Why was there a ventriloquist dummy propped up in the chair behind the counter? Another excellent question.

Photo Hut is open.

Aziraphale was a bundle of nerves as he checked the stock behind the bar, put on some music for the dance floor, and unlocked the door. Not only had he never in his life even been on that side o a bar, but he knew nothing about mixing drinks. And to make matters worse, a sense of foreboding had been dogging him all day.

Maybe tending bar would be a sufficient distraction. Something told him, though, that it wasn't going to be that easy.

[ooc: My availability will be pretty erratic tonight, so feel free to mod your service if you want to avoid potential SP.]

The Park, Tuesday Night

Leo lay stretched out on the grass, gazing up at the stars and trying to make up constellations. Since he could never remember the real ones. Except Leo the Lion. That one he remembered. He'd love some company.
