Millie was even more cheerful this morning than usual as she'd just gotten a packet of letters from back at the castle.  She opened the store, then settled down to savor them.

Tannim had his laptop with him today. He wanted to check out the new website for car mechanics, mechanicly.com. Unfortunately, it was still in beta and the request list for invites was over 5000 names long. He sighed, added his name to the list, and killed a little time looking at the screenshots.

The Magic Box was open.

Letting out a long yawn, Turtle leaned forward on the counter and looked over the paper. Doing radio last night left her a little tired, but, until they got some new kids in, she'd have to be at the store. Especially in case anyone she said could get discounts came in, because otherwise Apu would probably mess it up and everyone would get away with it. But at least the stocks were dropping as much as they did yesterday and the day before, and she was idly working on figuring out where to invest the rest of Sokka's money. Now would probably be a good time to do it.

She didn't forget to put out the glittery "Help Wanted" sign today, either.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Banana Creme, Coconut Creme, Red.

Turtle & Canary is open!

Charlie's working on the novel again. Instead of coming up with new characters, today she's concentrating on the ones she already has.

Which means the flying girl and the outer-space-chick are comparing notes on guys. And playing racquetball.

The kittens are being adorable, and Metallica is blasting over the speakers.

[ooc: in and out, babysitting today!]

Tori felt like getting outside to enjoy the nice day, so she wandered over to the park. Finding a nice shady spot beneath a tree, Tori took a seat.

A book rested nearby, but she didn't feel like reading just yet. Tori decided to relax and just enjoy her surroundings for the moment. She'd get to reading in a little bit.

[OOC: Open!]

Phoebe had been feeling a bit emotional since her workshop and she was glad that she had to work tonight. She made sure everything was in place and that the zombies were all taped up. Then she took her place behind the bar and prepared for the night.

Tino was also wandering around.

Neil was in high spirits as he came in to work. Summer and the light schedule were definitely agreeing with him and even a slightly warning letter from his father couldn't dampen his good mood.

Turning on some big band swing, he headed behind the bar and decided to count inventory.

Not that the Nest ever seemed to run out of anything but it was kinda fun to count out how much booze was back there.

Luke's Diner, Thursday

Welcome, everyone, to Non-Emo Thursday at Luke's! Now in its second week of being more or less emo-free! And in celebration, today's menu was a little . . . themed.

TODAY'S SPECIALS
Beaver Tails
Poutine
Fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds
Newfoundland-style Fries
Fries smothered in gravy and stuffing
Eggs and Peameal Bacon
Clam Chowder

Well, okay, maybe it was a slightly emo Thursday. Stupid Alfredsson. Stupid Spezza. He'd done better on the Brampton Battalion than on the Sens. But the good thing about being a Leafs fan was that Jude was well used to disappointment. And there was, of course, always next year. He was sure the boys in blue would win the drink next year. Next year.

[[Open! Up a bit late due to stupid workings.]]

"Fifteen bucks, little man, put that shit in my head. If the money doesn't show, than you owe me oh me oh! My jungle love!"

Their NPC underage customer paid and walked away, shaking his head as the two grown men (well, one would assume) started to get down with their bad selves, in the style of Morris Day and the Time.

Who knew Tubby had the moves?

So, Sokka was late to work again, this time because the doorknob was still being pissy and didn't want to let him out of the room this morning. Lovely.

He stomped into the post office and sat on the counter, petting Not Tiddles.

The post office was open.

Ah, one can never have too much ice cream with minions. Though, at least this time there was no crying.

God he hoped there wouldn't be crying.

"I suggest the left half of the freezer. Very delicious."

[[ooc: For the lil' minion, but open for ice cream needs!]]
