Ino showed up early and set to work. There was some sweeping and dusting, but the majority of her time was taken up with setting up various Christmas plants all around the shop. She did make sure though that they weren't in the way of any of the display cases. Much.

No, she hadn't asked Cable-san for permission. Ino hoped he wouldn't mind. And yes, her hair was still blue. She flipped the sign to Open and contented herself with the plants and deciding on what colour green A.J.'s hair was going to be when she was done with it.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

Anyone who walked into the diner today and, for whatever reason, decided to peer behind the counter would find Yitzhak curled up in a small ball, hands over his ears, rocking back and forth.

Anyone foolhardy brave crazy enough to want to find out the cause of this, who then ventured into the kitchen, would discover that the cook and the dishwasher had set up a karaoke system and were crooning the best of Barry Manilow.

Look, you'd be rocking back and forth in a ball too, if you were Yitzhak.

[OOC: Quite possibly subject to even slower SP than usual during the workday per my earlier post. This post brought to you by the fact that my MP3 player, 22GB of songs on it and all, decided to go on a five-song Barry Manilow streak. I have no excuse for this.]

Melody was decking the halls, or -- more specifically -- the record store. Mistletoe and evergreen branches decorated every corner, tinsel was strewn on anything that would hold it, the kittens had been dressed in wee Santa hats, and the Du Jour Christmas album blared from the sound system.

Groovy Tunes was open.

Bypassing Gunther's pure insanity without nary a glance, Jeff was a man with a mission. Certainly, this mission mostly had to involve his currently lamentable task of keeping the hotel occupied, but the truth was he was trying to prepare for an invasion.

Of Jamies. With warm Squishies.

He may have convinced himself of the problem a little overmuch while trying to cheer up Turtle on the radio the previous night.

Somewhere in the process, he may have stolen a wall off one of the gingerbread casinos.

He'd entirely forgotten about the specials again.

[ open! ]

Blackheart was actually in a good mood today as he opened up Pixie Dust. He was two days away from his last final, there were undercurrents of fear hitting his nose with their bitter, beautiful scent, and he'd finally concocted a means of taking that which was rightfully his.

He'd be able to leave that strange Rider-vibe behind him after his final, and simply walk across the causeway to get to the rest of the outside world. As annoying as having his true power suppressed by this island was, it was amazing how simple a solution all of this presented to him. Freedom was a short walk away. And then came everything else.

So, by way of celebration, he was actually tidying the store. Somewhat. And only if "tidying" meant "burning everything he didn't like the look of, one last time."

It was a damn good day.

Jack was busy playing around in the back. There was a computer. He was looking up this Gee Pee Ess thing and trying to close out all of the windows that kept popping up on the screen, frantically.

[Please distract him. Or make him flail. :)]

Having heard about Angelus' return on the radio, it was a very somber Giles that came into the Magic Box.

He spent some time putting together some pamphlets with tips to avoid being a vampire victim and then put them out on the counter. He also put out a couple of containers with crosses and small vials of holy water in baskets on the counter with a sign that said "Free. To Hold Off Vampires. Please Take One.

Some things were more important than making a profit.

The Magic Box was open.

Adam made it to Galactica Point, with a few minutes to spare. He managed to open up Wonders of the World and get situated before the place was set to open.

Yeah, record timing.

Course List )

And yes, he was humming Christmas music. 'Tis the season!

[OOC: OCD coming right up!]

Lo and behold, Dick showed up to work today. The choice was being around booze with the slight chance of being eaten or sitting around dorms watching people study for finals. Dick felt he made the right decision.

"So...what are we going to do if that guy tries to attack us?" Tino asked.

"I'm going to push you in the front so he eats you and then I'll escape out the bathroom window." Dick said.

"I'll kill you first!"

Dick threw a handful of pretzels at Tino. "Your crazy is showing."

There was proving Nate wrong to be done today!

Okay, not so much proving him wrong as annoying him by doing something he said no to. Because... Really? Mr. No Island/Country had no one else to boss around and he so wasn't going to try starting it up again with him.

Exactly.

It all made sense.

Now where was Ponytail?

[[OOD: Deadpool is here for Sokka, but the gym is open!]]

Sword sheathed at his back, Billy was prowling skulking strolling along. Looking for trouble. Trouble with a capital T. Which rhymed with E. Which comes just a little ways after A. Which stands for Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz. Which is the most remarkable word I've every seen. Angelus.

ooc: I apologize for the random silliness, but the post is open for anyone who wants to chat, or join in the hunt.

The cat had gone for a walk. Gabriel had donuts. It was a good day, if days could be good.

[The church is open]

Liz came in to work on time and set up for her shift.

[ooc: wait for the OCD is up!]
