Annette was at work bright and early this morning. As soon as she made sure everything was neat and ready for any customers that might come in, she sat down and started studying. Her first final was tomorrow and that was Mr. Phale's class. She was fairly confident that she knew what she needed to know, but it didn't hurt to go over all of her handouts again, making sure.

It was quiet in the front portion of the office except for the slight humming noise of the sorting engine in the back. Annette figured there would be many more cards coming in as well as gift packages, and all would have to be delivered. Too bad Gladys was gone. It just might be a long day.

She wished she had a huge white chocolate mocha.

The Post Office is open.

After first period, and it's final, Ino wandered down to the Perk craving hot chocolate. She wound up with one that also had peppermint in it. Ino was starting to think that getting exactly what she wanted from the staff here was a lost cause.

Well. At least peppermint was better than caramel.

She settled down in a comfortable chair to study for her other finals. Sure, she didn't have to take the next one until Thursday, but still.

There was porn on Renee's computer. Not even good porn at that.

She was not amused.

Someone was going to get yelled at for this.

[[OOC: open, like ya do]]

No fashion or music magazines for Chad today; instead, he was flipping through a sports one, thinking fondly of the game yesterday and thinking that they totally needed to have more. Where maybe that silly Blue team would learn that they'd need a bulldozer to take him down. Thank God Teddy hated sports.

And that chain of thought led to the fact that he still needed to get holiday gifts, and he grunted before going back to reading.

Today's Mix: Fun Run One.

Groovy Tunes is open!

George Michael was not to be seen. He was there, at work, but he was hunkered down behind the counter, sitting on his butt and cleaning out the shelves.

What? He could clean if he wanted to.

The stand is open.

Turtle sat behind the counter of the store with a frown of deep consideration and troubled contemplation on her face. In front of her, she held the glittery "Now Hiring" sign that was previously in the window. The sign had, as such signs usually do, helped, but it lead to Sokka being hired. Which Turtle was still feeling was going to be a huge mistake. She probably could use at least another shift picked up, but she was wary. On the other hand, she'd already hired in the worst, right?

Right?

Today's Squishy Flavors: Turkey, Banana, Grape Judas

Turtle & Canary is open.

The Gingerbread Las Vegas was still up and running. Mary suspected that Gunther had been sleeping in the lobby in order to protect it. Today she had abandoned the front desk and was watching the chocolate fountains in front of the Gingerbread Bellagio.

So the network card in his computer didn't want to work any more. (And well, considering it had been a bargain of the off-the-back-of-a-truck variety, and literally at that, it wasn't exactly a surprise.) Yitzhak was . . . not as cranky about this as one might expect.

Or he could have been. Hard to tell, really, since he suspected he was coming down with a really bad cold, and he did not need to have a swollen, puffy, red nose a week before working a Christmas Eve drag show.

Today's Special
Free glass of Emergen-C with any burger order!

Luke's is open, but not sniffly. Yet.

Ami opened the Magic Box. It was a pretty day outside, but she would rather be indoors.

It was earlier than usual for Cable to walk down the stairs clinging tenaciously (or, alternatively, just holding in a steady kind of way) to his cup of coffee, slapping a paper down on his desk and booting up the laptop before putting the Open sign on the door.

He had something on his mind, but it wasn't unusual. He settled in his chair with the paper, scanning the news.
