It was Alex's first day of work, so she arrived ten minutes early, just to be safe.

She figured the Back to School Special sign should go up in the window. Having put that up, Alex took in her surroundings.

She decided to look at the store's contents before opening up. Get a feel for the layout of the store one more time. Giles had shown her around over the weekend, but she wanted one more look, just to be sure.

Settling in, she pulled out her magazine.

The Magic Box was open.

Annette was behind the counter, looking through a book of stamps. They were of puppies and oooh so cute.

Anyhow, she was here, ready to help anyone with any postal needs they might have.

George Michael had received a phone call from Gangee this morning. She wanted to come and see him despite the fact that he just saw her at Christmas. He was able to talk her out of it but only by doing so in stating that he would come see her. He would leave this weekend he promised.

So now his mood just wasn't all that great. He didn't want to go home but knew if he didn't, she would come here and raise all kinds of hell.

Joanna was doing her nails. She had chipped one the night before in a mishap with a shrimp fork. She was also on her second bottle of champagne. The mishap had been very traumatic.

Forcing herself to hide a very large yawn behind her hand, Turtle leaned on the counter. She wished she didn't feel so tired; she had a lot of paperwork to do! She was thinking of blaming on the higher altitude of Jeff's room. Even at Sunset Towers, they'd only lived on the third floor. So, yup. That had to be it.

Plus, she had a new sign to put up: "Now Hiring! Only one shift left! Don't let your chance to work with one of the best employers in the village! Great benefits, free Squishies! Inquire within!"

Mary was in a very good mood this morning. She had been in the kitchen bright and early to pester Gunther until he caved in and changed the menu for her. She celebrated by taking a plate of shrimp scampi with her when she took her spot at the front desk. It didn't take a lot to make Mary happy.

Chad was actually still feeling really confused about the fact that he had a class earlier today. It wasn't that he wasn't used to having classes, it was just...not a class he expected to be in. Either way, it had lead him to actually reading a little about the subject of criminal justice, thanks to a book he'd handwavily picked up on the way to work. He knew nothing about it, which meant he'd have to study more, and he figured an early start while they were slow was a good way to go about it.

Today's music was some low-key alternative and some classical. Good studying music.

This wasn't really any kind of unusual occurance, though, and Cable was certainly somewhere on the premises. He'd pop up on his own time.
