D'Argo knew today was graduation, he knew there would be people headed in to do a lot of drinking. That happened when people got their first real taste of Fandom.

So today there was a sign:

Furst rownd on the house for tramatizzed Fandom new bees

A zombie wrote it. So really, that was impressive.

[I'm going to be at work, but don't want people to miss out if drinking needs to be done. Just mod Tino till about 6 or 7 PST. And remember what the graduation OOC says- the events of post 2 will be hard to avoid, so you might want to hold off pinging till then so you don't Joss yourself.]

After getting a phone call to let him know that his guests from New York had finally showed up, Peter hurried down to the Perk to meet them. This was partially because he was excited to see them. It was also partially because he was afraid the island might get invaded by knife-wielding gibbons or something.

Also, because it was early and coffee was a good idea.

[OOC: First thread locked to Peter and his guests from New York and elsewhere. They're still available after that thread, though, unless otherwise noted. Otherwise, open for all of your coffee needs!]

It was early, before graduation, when Romeo ducked into town to find some breakfast. His terribly original plan was to take a bagel and some coffee down to the beach and watch the water. He might even write some poetry. (Romeo didn't mess with his classic modes of behavior.)

He took a moment, though, to sit at a table in the cafe, letting his coffee cool before he began the walk. It was a thoughtful kind of day, with graduation hanging in the air.

[OOC: Open for your Romeo/God of Biscuit needs, but the thread with Angela is last chronologically.]

Today, the hotel had a brunch buffet set up. Mary figured that the guests would need to be prepared to face whatever happened at graduation.

Besides, it was was an excuse to nag Gunther until he made some hash browns just for her.

Late, so late it was almost a new day, the sound of hoofbeats rang across the island.

They heralded lean black horses with fiery eyes, their riders tall and cloaked, with antlers sprouting from their helmets. They faded in and out of sight, as if they weren't quite part of this world, and they ran, hooves striking sparks, across the island. Through the streets, around the dorms and the school, weaving through the trees of the preserve, out along the beach. Hounds, black as night, ran after them, their ululating howls echoing across the island.

Semi-solid shadows, they covered the whole island, the hounds coursing far and wide, and what they hunted for, no one knew.

[ooc: This happens after radio. Feel free to react to the sounds or see a ghostly hound or horseman in this post, just note where you are in the subject, or in any other post! They'll be around until dawn.]

George Michael was missing the graduation ceremony so he decided to do what he could for the graduates, if any stopped by.

He wrote on the menu board:

NUTS ARE FREE. TODAY ONLY!

[Call me crazy. No ocd today. No menu board. Mod like crazy.]

Jen showed up just long enough to open the place and leave it in the care of the staff before heading off to graduation. She didn't want to miss this, after all.

[OOC: OCD-free today, since I figure we're all otherwise occupied, although if Tom wants to create an OCD thread for himself, go for it.]

Cafe Fina - Saturday 5/3

The Cafe was open, though the owners were nowhere to be found. The staff had opened anyway, since it was graduation and people might want to come in and eat.

Though they weren't written on the specials board, today there was a special dessert of petit fours in various graduation-themed shapes.

(No OCD today. Please to be modding your service.)

Simon had just arrived, and River had immediately suggested a breakfast at the Perk. Simon looked tired, and she didn't need to talk to him to find out why. He had no need to put things into words for her either.

She ordered coffee and apple cake for them both, while Simon found them a table by the window.

[Open both for Perk needs and for talking to the siblings]

Graduation meant nothing to Gabriel. Karal leaving did, however, and he was in a foul mood, scowling at the Cat, who pretended he didn't exist.

[The church is open]

While Apu had mostly been in charge of opening the store and running it for the longer duration of the day, Turtle still came in after the graduation to do a little bit of work.

'A little bit of work,' it turned out, was sitting by the register and working on a list of predictions of things that were going to happen at her graduation. Because, seriously...that was kind of nuts.

The work settled her, though. The store had a nice, calming effect on her.

Today's Squishy flavors: Blue Raspberry, Grape Judas, Dead Crushed Fairies (really, honestly, that was a flavor!!!)

Turtle & Canary is open!

[[ without OCD, though. For the most part, mod Apu. Turtle's around if you need her, but I'm leaving soon for a road trip and won't have much Intrawebs access, so SP is the keyword ]]

When Roy made it into the station, he was greeted by a group of very excited troopers rambling about ghosts and horsemen. They'd even made drawings of what they'd seen the previous evening and Roy wondered if this day was going to end with him digging up bones some dog had buried in the park.

After some discussion, he somehow ended up promising that he'd go patrolling with them if they could give him photographic proof of said ghosts. Shaking his head, he retreated into his office to see what arrangements should be taken for graduation.

Summer decided she wanted something caffeinated and yummy after the weirdness of graduation. She had no idea things were about to get possibly more weird.

For there was a surprise waiting for her... )

[ooc: Mostly establishy, but open for any Perk needs you may have! This was just something I had to do. ;)]
