Lacey had been immoderately (well, okay, maybe not so much) relieved to see that things were back to normal today. And then she got to work.

And discovered that there was going to be more than just a little bit of post-invasion cleanup to do. Which naturally meant that the kitchen guys had all called out traumatized. (Apparently they thought this was a legit request. After a moment or two to consider, Lacey decided it probably was one, after all.)

After just enough cleanup to make the place presentable, Lacey went ahead and opened the diner, then busied herself with cleanup of the more indepth, and dare one say nitpicky, variety.

It was mid-morning by the time Mary entered the hotel and dropped her bags behind the front desk. She checked the guest register, re-claimed the keys to the presidential suite, and then tried to get settled in at the front desk. As much as she missed her boyfriend, this was where she belonged.

Chad had gotten back from New York just in time to open the shop on time, which meant that he had no kitten with him at the moment, or even his guitar, or even any idea of what he missed over the weekend.

That last part was probably a good things.

Hades was irritated. The Nightmares' food had been taken by the raiding party and he'd fallen prey to the oldest distraction in the book. But it didn't matter. That wasn't part of the main plan, it was only a fun side venture. The Nightmares would be able to get food again once they were able to come through to the surface. Fandom would be his soon enough. Enough of Andrew's personal energy and life force had been put into the barrier. It was doing the rest of the work on its own now. Just a little longer and Fandom would be officially connected to Tartarus, making it (by Olympian law) part of the Underworld and his domain.

Just a little longer. Then all he would have to do is appear on the island, grab the nearest live person, transport back here and throw them into the barrier to kill them when it was charging up to make the connection permanent.

So close. So very close.

Well, after this weekend, it was going to be more of a park clean up.

Fraser was there, looking tired and worn, but he was there.

"Good morning," he said quietly. "For those that were here this weekend, I hope you are all well or will be getting well. If you have friends and loved ones that were all involved, I hope they are well too. Today, we're just going to do a park cleanup. A lot happened here and, while our improvements weren't ruined, they probably need to be touched up. Thank you."

With that, Fraser moved slowly off to start cleaning.

Oh, it was a sad, sad day in Fandom, now that the school had lost one of its most cherished faculty members. In memory of Hades, the overhead speakers in Turtle and Canary were repeatedly blasting an EXTRA-cheerful version of "Cuban Pete", and Sokka was singing and dancing along. And occasionally cleaning, when an extra-exuberant chick-chicky-boom knocked something off a shelf.

Apu, on the other hand, was wearing earplugs.

Isabel was comfortably ensconced at a table with a large mug of tea, a raspberry-lemon scone, and a stack of magazines that were more visual appeal then substance.

She was completely interruptible.

Things had clearly seemed to have smoothed over around town, and, for that, Charlotte was incredibly grateful. Not only did the whole mess with a potential take over and ghosts and monsters and everything really creep her out, but it had been very difficult and exhausting work trying to keep Dale from being involved. Still, she'd managed to placate the bunnified boyfriend (although she was still baffled as to how), and had told him that, see? Everyone had managed just fine without him, which wasn't to say, of course, that she thought he wasn't needed. She told him that she was just sure that things would have gone along more smoothly if he had been there, but that would only have been if he was feeling himself again, which he still hadn't been.

Still, she felt pretty bad about the whole thing, so she took him over to the Perk with her and told him that he could have as much coffee and desserts as his little bunny self could handle. Just so long as, later, it didn't lead to little bunny throw-up on her carpet.

Cable had been on the phone all the way from the causeway to well into the store-- the Open sign was on the door, and had the owner been paying attention, he'd have taken note of the black kitten that divebombed his dog from the top of the bookcase the moment they'd entered. Maybe he had noticed and simply didn't find it worthy of note-- or maybe the phone call was proving to be more of a distraction than he'd anticipated.

The ensuing fight was brutal, and some of the display cases would never be the same; but Tether seemed to be holding his ground.

Meanwhile, Cable was still on the phone. )

He flicked the cell shut, then ran a hand across the back of his head as he took to the task of figuring out how to keep an angry, rabid kitten and a stoic, determined dog from setting fire to the counter.

After a weekend of shutting down most of the TARDIS' systems to try to figure out why it wasn't letting him leave Fandom, the Doctor emerged into the fresh morning air. He took a deep breath and let it out through his nose. It was a good day for a walk. He was closer to solving the problem, but not there yet. It would probably take another completely random weekend of being isolated in the TARDIS will no sensors running to figure it all out.

He had no idea what had gone on over the weekend. Oh well, flowers to smell, people to meet. Plenty to do to keep a Time Lord entertained. "Oooh muffin. I could go for a muffin." He set off to find one.

Seregil opened up the store totally on time.

He pulled out some books on Greek mythology to read during his shift. Given the events of the past weekend, it felt like something he should know more about.

The Book Haven was open.

Alex opened up the Magic Box after her workshops, trying to decide what she was going to do about the second summer session.

She was thrilled with the classes, but she missed her family and friends. Alex wasn't sure what she should do. Hopefully, by the end of her shift, she'd come to a decision.

The Magic Box is open!

Jolee was at the bar. Exciting stuff.

[OOC: Not feeling great tonight. I'm around for a while, but will probably be slow.]
