Photo Hut, Tuesday

Jack was excited to open the shop, thinking that it was just one more day until Wednesday.

Becuase there was something to do on Wednesdays, and he was greatly looking forward to it.

But as today was still Tuesday, he was working and making sure that the display model cameras were in good condition...by taking lots of photos of himself.

He had perfected the Myspace high-angle shot.

It was snowing outside.

It wasn't the first time he'd seen snow and it surely wouldn't be the last but it still caught his attention. It wasn't those wimpy fucking flurries either. It was coming down and already starting to blanket the ground and streets. Loki was leaning in the doorway, peering quietly out the front door and watching it come down. It was almost relaxing in a way.

And it wasn't like he was out in it or anything though he was contemplating. It'd been a good...long time since he'd thrown a snowball at someone. Last time he'd thrown one at someone, Bartleby had just glared and called him a child. He'd just gotten another snowball down his shirt for that. That'd been a good fistfight. Ah, memories.

Too bad the snow hadn't started yesterday. He'd have used the weather to his advantage by burying his fucking phone in it to stop it from ringing ever again. Alas, his phone was still in one piece and thankfully quiet.

So, Loki was just going to continue leaning in the front doorway, watching it snow and working really fucking hard. Really.

Snow fall was pretty. Unless you had to trudge through it. It wasn't so bad when he'd first set out, but by the time he got to the lighthouse, he'd thoroughly had enough.

Houston was feeling much the same. The dog had run through snow drifts, chased snowflakes and had a good old time until he started to feel the cold. Then he was less than a happy dog and looking at Murdock like 'c'mon, aren't we there yet? it's cold! i'm cold! why aren't we inside?'

Both dog and human headed straight for the nearest heater once they got to the lighthouse. Somehow, Murdock didn't think a whole lot of work was going to get done today.

Except when the delivery guys showed up. They didn't like hauling furniture and other items through snow either, and they let Murdock know in no uncertain terms.

It was stacking up to be a long day.

(open! and method rp strikes again, as yes, we *DO* have snow down here today. I blame you all.)

She’d been social last night, and oddly enough Hinata found that, come the next morning, she didn’t mind at all.

Yei, for her part, had spent a good while telling her (in mewing and purring) about the wolf and Hinata just grinned and answered her cat with a variety of ‘oh, is that so?’ and ‘really?’ responses. It was enough to keep Yei entertained at least, and Hinata had plenty of time to look through the books and try not to wonder, now that Dinah had brought it up, how the auditions were coming along.

Ino had started the day off cheerful and chirpy as she fussed with the plants. And then she’d had to go to Ethics during second period and came back rather less chirpy and wondering if she ought to just never talk on the phone again.

And wondering just who’d gotten her calls. The ones where she’d been responding to them bothered her a lot less. (...and, on reflection, Ino was rather glad that she’d been vague about one issue at least.)

Today, Mary wasn't at the front desk but lingering in the sitting area of the lobby. She was chatting on the phone with Danny McCoy while peering out the window.

"So, the other two heirs mentioned in Casey's will are Sam and Victor? I just don't get it. Of course he'd leave stuff to his ex-wife and his brother, but why me? Wait a minute, doesn't that make me your boss? Speaking of which, tell AJ Cooper that I'm not really interested in coming back to Las Vegas. I'll be happy to share my stock to him so he can stay majority owner. All I'm interested in... Oh my gosh, it's snowing! Oh, Danny, you should see this!"

It was snowing out.

Adam had to smile at that as he opened up the store. He missed having snow in California -- sometimes. He wondered if people would be stopping by, what with the weather. He also wondered about the phone calls he'd gotten over the weekend. That... had been strange, to say the least.

Everyone at Café Fina was glued to the television today, especially Lion-o. The lord of the Thundercats had a coronation ceremony, but his father's had taken place before Lion-o was born. He found the inauguration fascinating to watch.

Between the phone calls this weekend, which Pepper had finally figured out were misdirected calls (and was now wondering who had gotten hers), and the snow, which prevented her initial choice of outfit, Pepper was not having the very best day.

She was still wearing her coat inside at her desk, too. Malibu girl and all.

Aravis did not care how normal this weather might be for January. She was still bundled up to the best of her best abilities, because she would never adjust to this snow thing. Ever. Regardless of the fact that she'd be spending the rest of her life in a place that had it half the year.

In any case, she was busying herself with making sure the horses were warm enough.

That's where Robin was. The trek up the hill pulling the sled was a bit of a job, but it was worth it for the trip down.

"Yeeeeee!!!!!"

[Sledding! Open! And if anyone has any suggestions for where specifically this hill should be, I'll happily change the subject line.]

Marshall came into the bar tonight with leftover Chinese food and a basketball in tow. The cold didn't bother him; he was from Minnesota after all. Marshall was the biggest fan snow ever had. He just wished his brothers were around so they could play baskiceball.

"OOOH! Snow! SNOW!!!"

A chance glance out the window distracted Max from the television, where some guy with funny ears was trying to steal HIS job. Usurper forgotten, and squealing with childlike glee, he threw open the window to welcome the winter weather.

"Hold my ankles, Sam! HOLD MY ANKLES!!!" Without waiting to see if Sam would or not, he leaned dangerously far out the window, trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue.
