Ned hadn't been out and about much since the whole thing with other him and the other world. He wasn't about to miss his work though since he knew he could get some stress baking in there. He'd kicked most of the staff out of the kitchen and let them take up spots at the counter, relaxing and eating the food he made.

Hoshi was anticipating a slow day today, so she brought a difficult translation to keep her entertained. She sat at the front desk and occasional sounded out a few words in an unrecognizable language.

Fred was already not dealing well with his whole 'diet' thing. Part of his change was to start exercising more, so he struck a strange balance.

He was beating the ever loving hell out of a punching bag. He'd worked up quite the sweat (well, he often did, really), and wasn't looking to stop.

Good job, Fred. Way to be a mature human being.

Irulan opened the Imperial Brim early, she wanted to return to Connecticut as soon as her meeting with Priestly was finished. She was quite eager to start the new line of hats. Priestly seemed confident he can create a number of Tin Hats to be sold exclusively in the Imperial Brim.

Although, first, she had a sign to create:

Please be advised:
Imperial Brim will only be open from 8AM to 12NN. Thank you.

It was the weekend after a Fandom issue, which meant that Nathan Dayspring Summers was both enjoying the ensuing quiet and taking a moment to go through his own personal stash of heavy weaponry. With Jan not far behind, of course, even if there was no way in hell he'd let her near any of the actual weapons.

That would come when she was of the right age to name one, let alone lift it.

This didn't keep Jan from spending most of the day wandering through the store yelling 'Tee-sisty! Tee-sisty!' all the time.

Cable was just going to take that as a good thing.

It was later than usual when Aphrodite actually opened the shop. She'd been hard at work and couldn't wait to show off her efforts to her customers.

Okay, so it had only taken her a few minutes to do the actual work, but it was the design she was proud of, and had struggled with for days. Now it was complete, and she wanted people to see it. She wanted people to like it.

There were a few big changes in the shop. The first consisted of a brand new skylight directly over the easy chairs. The second change had to do with the chairs themselves. They were still leather and overstuffed, but were now reclinable, as well as being firmly rooted to the floor of the store. The third change was the clear, round fish bowl that was set between the chairs.

But the biggest change could actually be heard as well as seen. When you entered the store, you could hear the sound of a distant gentle waterfall that was actually not very distant at all. In fact, it ran all along the back wall, like a miniature Niagara Falls, splashing down behind racks of vibrators and bondage gear into a small trough which then acted as a miniature river, guiding the fallen water along its path to the formerly mentioned fish bowl that sat between the easy chairs.

It was brilliant. Genius. With two minor problems and a slight oversight.

First, the indoor 'river' that now fed the fishbowl ran down the middle of the store, meaning people wanting to get from the vibrators to the bondage equipment had to step over the river. Second, the very real splashing sound was a little too real as the floor under the falls was constantly needing to be mopped.

The oversight? There were no fish in the fishbowl.

But fish or no, Dite's Decadent Delights was open.

Just watch your step in the back.

(ooc: Open for just about anything.)

Apu was trying yet again to teach Kyle what the different denominations of money were. He could figure out the numbers on the bills, but the coins were bothering him, especially since Apu kept changing between how much they were worth and their nicknames. Who the hell gave money nicknames anyway? And where did dime come from?

There was...no one in Caritas. Well. That was a lie. There were the zombies on stage. Tino was around but cleaning up a mess in the lounge. If Bones had waited a couple minutes Tino would have been back to get his drink. But he was an impatient s.o.b when it came to his liquor.

"Dammit, I'm a doctor, not a bartender," he grumbled as he hopped over the bar to grab the whiskey.
