Loki had a trampoline. Look, when he got bored and actually had money, ridiculous purchases tend to be made. People should just be lucky he didn't buy another video game console. Instead, he'd bought a trampoline and was now currently jumping on it outside the apartment building.

Sure, he could fly, get even higher but where was the fun in that? This way got him exercise and gave him something that he pretty much figured he could do for hours. If not, he'd just take a nap on it. For now, jumping.

Feeling like an imposter in her new coat Hinata was at work, as per usual, and feeling glad that at the very least, Yei’s fur was white.

So it matched the coat. Otherwise she doubted the poor coat would have managed to look furless for long since Yei was all over sitting in her lap and attempting to perch on her shoulders today.

“No,” she said patiently, plucking Yei from her shoulder and holding her in front. “You’re too big for my sh-shoulders.”

Yei mewed plaintively. Hinata sighed, set her cat down, and tried to go back to her book. It was a scene that would be repeated today, she just knew it.

Ino was humming a song today, though she was minorly irritated that she couldn’t actually remember the name of the song, because it was totally annoying when that happened, you know?

Other than that, though, she was in a totally good mood as she plotted what else, in addition to the charm that Tara had made her, to send to Reno.

As usual, when strange things begin to occur in Fandom the phones at the police station begin to ring off the hook.

"Uh-huh. Yeah. Right. I see."

And as usual the crack staff at the Fandom Police Department are on the case.

"Small blue men."

No case too big. No case too small.

"With Scottish accents."

All handled with the professionalism you'd expect from years of service.

"What should you do? I'd say call me back when you're not on acid."

Then again, maybe not so much.

[Yep. Open with SP warnings in the afternoon.]

When Raven wasn't spending her time playing with Hercules, she was curiously inspecting some of the books Decadent Delights had to offer. Most of them were far too graphic for her to even consider looking at, but the works of fiction were intriguing. Perhaps a romance novel would be a good place to start. She ruled The Darker Passions: Dracula and The Darker Passions: Carmilla right out when she realized they were about vampires. Vampire romance novels? Who would want to read such a thing?

She finally settled on a trio of books by the same author, Bound By Honor: An Erotic Novel of Maid Marian, Master: An Erotic Novel of the Count of Monte Cristo (one word in the title made her twitch, just a little -- or maybe two), and Unmasqued: An Erotic Novel of The Phantom of The Opera.

...

This was romance?

Decadent Delights was open.

It might have been just of nervousness that Cal got to the coffee shop early, nervousness over a conglomeration of things from the play to this meeting to building sexually explicit chimeras in class. Of course this whole thing with meeting with Eleanor was under the pretense of newspaper business, but he knew that newspapers would likely be the last thing on his mind, and he felt that racing, dizzying feeling again like maybe he needed to step back and crawl into a hole for a little while, still not ready for this charging dash into human (scratch that, female) contact that his body seemed to rush into with the permission of his lagging, lethargic mind and soul.

Just talk about the newspaper, and he should be fine, right?

Knowing nothing at all about tea, Cal just sat at a table, playing with sugar packets until Eleanor arrived.

[[ up early for great SP justice! Cal's there for a tea-loving redhead, but post is certainly open for all your coffee neeeeeeds ]]

There were little blue creatures in kilts stealing from the store today.

For some reason, they seemed especially focused on the underwear section. After Didi got tired of arguing with them about why stealing was wrong (and getting stabbed in the ankles with swords for her troubles), she started just telling them how they would die.

"Run over by a rickshaw," she said to the one carrying a six-pack of men's briefs. "Poisoned mushroom stew," she told the stout redhead dragging a long nightgown behind him. Another heard he'd die in his sleep at a very old age.

For some strange reason, the choice of conversational topics scared the Feegles away. Didi settled behind the counter with a Squishy of Triumph.

T&C was open. Squishy flavors: Butterscotch, Stollen, Red.

At first, Lion-o thought that the little blue men running all over Café Fina were friends of the dishes. Then they tried to carry off Snarf and the pepper shaker, and Lion-o sprang into action. "Hey! Bring them back," he ordered.

He managed to save the pepper shaker. But after a few minutes of listening to Snarf's howling, the blue guys decided that the snarf wasn't worth the headache and left him. Lion-o couldn't blame them, especially after Snarf continued howling for another hour.

Mary was surprised to find a postcard from Wyoming mixed in with the mail at the front desk. It was from Danny, who was staying at Cooper's cattle ranch for a meeting with his boss. She read the card and giggled at some of the adventures Danny described. Maybe she should take Cooper's invitation to visit the ranch one day.

Fiona was in a good mood, but she was also considering something that she didn't particularly want to consider.

The clinic.

Professor Atreides had asked her to check in with the clinic since her system was considerably less than normal and she'd promised that she would. But she had no interest in seeing the cots lined up as they had been during the terrible dream-coma incident and the idea of actually being the patient...

Someone was a little more perturbed by her experiences than she liked to admit.

That said, she'd promised, so she had to go, but she was wondering if she should ask someone to go with her and if so, who.

Tim was in the middle of a conversation/argument/negotiation with a group of blue tattooed Pictsies. Though they weren't entirely impressed with his title, or his magical sword, they at least were affording him a measure of respect.

Or maybe they were just distracting him while their quieter fellows sought out rare comics and trading cards.

Cordelia was more than a little excited about her first day of work. Yes, it was a job, something she had sworn never to have, but Daddy couldn't send her as much for an allowance, and the clothes...

She was probably spending more time planning future outfits than working on the class work she had brought with her today.

While Remus, being Remus, had a teapot at home, he'd found that working at home was somewhat distracting tonight.

Such was the hazard of living with Sirius, who seemed to have only gotten more allergic to bookwork over the years.

While it was a touch late to go in to the office to go over his lesson plans for the next day, it was certainly a fine time for a cup of tea in the shop he'd seen in town. He found himself a table and sat down with his materials to go over what he knew was a fairly challenging lesson for thirteen year-old wizards, but might prove to be extremely difficult for teenage Muggles.

Starting the morning off with a phone call from Toronto was not what Katchoo would have preferred over a cup of coffee and a couple of toasted bagels with garlic-and-herb cream cheese spread. It'd been nice to hear Emma's voice again, except for the part about how damn wavery it was.

("Here ya go, kid, guaranteed the best bagel in L.A.! Not as good as New York, but you don't get mugged for it!"
"Smells good."
"Eat up, Chewie! We need to put some meat on that scrawny butt of yours!")

. . . maybe not bagels. A blueberry muffin and a tall dark-roast drip from the Perk were just going to have to suffice instead, and if Katchoo's sketches today seemed to have a timekeeping-device theme, well, it was what it was. The idea of beating up on the clay again didn't seem too appealing, but there had to be something else to do.

Something that didn't involve the preserve. God.

[OOC: All we need is music, sweet music, there'll be music everywhere -- they'll be swinging, swaying, records playing, dancing OCD-free . . .]
