Okay, Rose was totally ready for her first day officially working at the gym as opposed to being there half the time training anyway.  Totally ready to help with the weights or clean up messes (not gross ones please) or even pretend she was a dork like Dimitri and read one of those westerns he was always reading.

She was not ready for one of the NPC instructors to hand her a CD and point her towards the aerobics room.

"The cardiofunk thing was a joke!  I'm not really teaching a class!"

The instructor cared not for Rose's protests.  It was her day off, and the class had to be covered.

Muttering darkly, Rose took the CD and skulked off to make crap up about cardiofunk.

So, Hinata had seen the cast list and been glad that she’d been casted even though her part was still making her go, well, ‘um’ a bit.

She could definitely sympathize with him, but—well, uh.

So Hinata was rereading the play and trying to figure out how she wanted to attempt to pull off her character. Hmmmm.

Ino was achy and sore and muttering to her plants (okay, the store’s plants, but she had control over them for the day so they totally temporarily counted as hers, yes) about what had possessed her to, you know, demand a training schedule.

The plants, being plants, didn’t much care.

That was okay. Ino was mostly muttering for the sake of muttering and, really, in a fairly good mood. Some things just needed to be complained about, that’s all. In between bouts of that, she studied.

So, Loki had gone shopping again. No, he didn't have another trampoline though that was outside, waiting for him. No, he'd picked up a new game for the sheer sole fact that he'd been fucking alive when they'd hit it big and witnessed even people in Wisconsin getting all a titter about them. Loki himself hadn't seen what the big deal was though he could say some of their songs were very fucking catchy and the game had just looked cool when he'd been in the store.

Even former Angels of Death wished to be rock stars sometimes. Loki wasn't fucking English and couldn't even pull off a passable accent but he was quick and he didn't give a shit about what he looked like, rocking out in the lobby with the game blasting loudly.

Didi was doing about as well as you'd expect a girl who'd had the details of her menstrual cycle broadcast across the island to do.

Which was to say that, while she was trying to shrug it off, some part of her brain was inventorying ways to hurt the squirrels, Sam and Andy very badly. She'd already come up with 15 interesting new uses for the gum and mints at the register, and you don't want to know what she was thinking about doing with the squishy machine.

Turtle & Canary was open. Squishy flavors: Blue Raspberry, Lime, Red.

Mary could have been in Wyoming for Mike's surprise birthday party. In fact, both Piper and Delinda had called her about it over the weekend. But Piper also had a lot of weird questions about how close Mary and Mike were, and Delinda kept trying to get her to say that she found Cooper attractive. In the end, Mary decided that she'd rather do some bookkeeping than deal with Delinda and Piper's agendas.

Lion-o was a little startled when he arrived at Café Fina to find someone waiting for him. "Uh, can I help you with something, friend?" he asked.

"Feed me," said the other cat.

"Oh, I can do that. It's my job!" said Lion-o. He ran inside to get a sandwich from the pepper shaker, but when he came back, the cat was gone. "Huh? Where did he go?"

"He said something about finding a place with cheezburgers, snarf snarf," said Snarf, who had remained outside. "Next time, you should probably get them to pay first if they won't come inside."

Gibbs was in the process of going through his e-mail when he found an attachment from a police officer over in the mainland with the subject: "You got to see this!" The attachment was a series of scanned in photos that were... Well a cop really should be looking at these let alone sending them to other cops.

Just as he was about to close the window and send back a scathing e-mail he suddenly realized that he knew that girl in the photo. Gibbs scowled a bit even more at the whole situation. No. This was not a good thing.

Especially since Ralph was trying to look over Gibbs shoulder at said pictures.

"If you want to keep those eyes in your head, you better find something else to look at," Gibbs growled as he closed the image and e-mail.

Ralph quickly went on the other side of the station and stayed out of Gibbs's way.

Fiona was rather proud of herself.

She was reasonably certain she'd come up with something useful for the case she'd been given. She wasn't sure if it would work since the precedent was in another state and might not apply given some of the different laws between states, but it was certainly worth a shot, she figured.

Otherwise, she was well; she'd found out that Eliot could definitely make it for the weekend when family was allowed to visit and she'd sent out a text to her Aunt Dallas to see if she could come as well. Hopefully, her mother wouldn't even hear about it.

All in all, things could be worse.

Geoffrey looked around the theatre for a few minutes before opening the door. The place was clean, as he'd spent the last couple of days cleaning it. There were a few seats set up for him and the actors to sit at, moddable drinks, and of course the muffins that were getting to be as much a part of rehearsal as the text.

Well, not quite that much, but he was reasonably sure a few people had come to try outs for them instead of the Shakespeare.

Nonetheless, there was rehearsal to do and a whole new set of actors to handle. He had his fingers crossed that it would be less hellish than the last production.

Raven was running a little late (which she totally blamed on being distracted by being emo about a boy) when the time came to head to work, so she teleported herself to the store instead of walking, which could be why certain people in the back room didn't hear her come in.

She flipped the sign to "Open," scritched Hercules, and tried to remember where she'd tucked away the book she'd been reading. Purely for research, of course.

Oz was reading an article in the paper about a guy trying to get the Iroquois their land back as a separate nation from the US. The man promised that any white people still living in the area would be allowed to stay.

It was a welcome change from reading about how Kevin Costner had been a traditionalist in his dealings with the Native Americans. While they were working on that movie he'd promised to help them build and such. Then he'd stolen the land from them.

Tim was busy today moving some of the back issues into boxes at the back of the store. And figuring out how to fold the boxes so they were in fact boxes, and not flat rectangles of cardboard. He'd welcome any distractions.

Jack had read on some website that a program installed on the memory card of his digital camera would unlock some additional features of the camera itself.

So far, it unlocked the Japanese menu and Jack was staring at it, trying to remember how to change it back; he shut it off, pulled the card out (which reverted the camera back to English , but Jack didn't know that), looked at it, put it back in, and turned it back on.

"Son of a--"!

Marshall wanted to talk about how much zombie ass he kicked playing Left 4 Dead today, but he didn't want to accidentally insult the present zombie company. So instead he was trying to politely tell Tino that he smelled like Cool Ranch Doritos and how that could put drunk people off.

Accidentally insulting Tino never seemed to be a moral issue for Marshall.

Cordelia really was working. Properly accessorizing outfits was very hard work. And so was deciding what needed to be put in the back room for the boss to decide what to set on fire. She was still a little shocked that they did that here, but she felt so much better when she opened a box with plaid vests.

Who the hell wore plaid vests anymore?

Right, so after waking and having a few minutes of freaking out, calming down enough to breathe, and getting clothes and teasing from Layla, Dinah was now mostly dealing. For one thing, as a guy? She could totally track down Arthur and demand a spar now. Score. For another, she could do way more push-ups and lift more stuff. Muscles, yes! Any other speculation was getting shelved for much, much later.
