Troy was thinking a lot about his paintball class again, and how he couldn't seem to break the barrier of actually doing well in it, and it was kind of getting under his skin and in his head a little bit, because he felt he should be doing better, so, today, he was mostly asking anyone who came into the store for advice on how to get good.

Which meant that he wasn't getting a whole lot of advice, because not a lot of people came in, but there was at least "IDK JUST SHOOT PEOPLE?' written in his little notebook in very large letters, which he had, throughout the day, considered with a thoughtful, revelatory nod, underlined a few times, and circled it as well so he just didn't forget, because, yeah, that was pretty solid advice, he was definitely going to try that in class this week.

It was disgustingly hot out and of course today was the day the air conditioning crapped out. She whipped up about a dozen fans and had them all going but it really wasn't doing much except blowing the hot air around.

It did make her hair look good and flowy though, so that was a plus.

Tino had called off again tonight. Which, whatever, use your god-given vacation time and all, no problem.

At least, it wasn't a problem until the zombie band quieted down between songs and Kitty realized with no small amount of horror that she could tell Tino had a girl over at his apartment upstairs.

"All right, loud music tonight!" Kitty said. "Lots of really loud music!"

It would not work.

"Are you aware of the many ways in which the Bahamas are better than this place?" Lucifer asked Tiny at the bar. "Sun, sand, sea, and no nonsense."

Tiny eyed him.

"I wouldn't get bored that quickly," Lucifer replied irritably. "I could do at least a year, I reckon. And, well, there are plenty of hobbies I could pick up. Even old ones I've long-since abandoned."

Tiny snorted.

"Whatever," Lucifer said. "I'm going to play some excellent tropical jams."
