The new Squishy machine was being set up and installed that day, and it turned out that Amaya putting off doing so actually worked out great, because she knew, from having him in a few of her classes before, that Prompto was a bit more mechanically inclined himself. So not only was the shiny new machine, in all its copper piping and very "steampunk chic" aesthetics being hooked up today, but she could go over the changes to the machinery and all of the maintenance and technically stuff about taking care of it, especially if things go pear-shaped, with him as sort of the go-to in-house point person for it. Of course, of course, she was always available if needed, but being able to have Prompto on board with it and feeling confident that she could trust him to do a halfway decent job, well...that sounded pretty great to her.

And pretty great to Prompto, too, who was not only looking forward to working on some more mechanical stuff a bit more, but also was glad to find a good niche for himself around here to be more helpful. If he was their tech and maintenance guy, then maybe Apu would stop being such a jerk to him all the time!

...unlikely, but, hey, a guy could hope, right?

Turns out? That adorable cat game that Graham had read about on the radio was even more adorable and even more precious than he could have ever imagined, and, just as he said on radio, he practically made a beeline for it the moment he came in for his shift.

It was kind of disappointing, though, that Saffron wasn't nearly as good at playing it as you'd imagine a cat would be, for a game about cats, and eventually, after booping all the cats off the bed and then trying to replace them before realizing that the makeshift bed gameplay board was not nearly as comfortable as one might thing, stalked off to go back to ignoring Graham entirely or favoring cleaning her paws in all the sunspots.

Which was fine, Graham was just going to keep playing by himself. He grew up playing a lot of board games by himself, really. He was very good at it.

The stereo system was on the fritz and only playing 90's country for some ungodly reason. So Eddie would be sitting here with his headphones on at full blast, trying to drown out the horror.

You might have to wave him down if you wanted his attention.

Stark Industries, Friday

Well, the changes that Steve had suggested were well under way and the facade of the building was less overtly modern than Tony liked, but matched the other buildings nearby better.

Nothing like an old fashioned version of the Stark name in cast iron to fit the vibe.

Patriot lay snoozing at his feet as Tony double checked on supply orders and the updated time frame for completion.

Trooper Station, Friday

Watts was spending most of his time today looking up ideas for things to flavour biscotti with. Not all, but most.

He did take the occasional break to try and catch his hat on his head after throwing it up in the air. An act which the Troopers promptly tried to emulate, only they had helmets, not hats made of felted wool, and thus that was likely to end in a concussion.

When Raiden had made up the list of specials for today, he felt like something was missing, but he couldn't pin down what it was. So he shrugged and finished chalking the board and went to tell Tito to make him up a large meat lover's with extra sausage for a morning snack.

Cutter was starting to feel a little restless and was feeling a lot better after yesterday and didn’t want to spend the day in his flat alone, he’d finished the last of his left overs and he was rather hungry. So he decided to stop by the bakery for a coffee and some pastries and as he sat down at the table by the window, he was sending a few messages to Becker about the possibility of visiting the team for a few days next week and hopefully he wasn’t risking something bad happening by returning home.

Then remembering his conversation with Summer the other day he was also looking into different vacation ideas on his phone in between his conversation with Becker, which was proving to be a lot harder than he thought … he didn’t know where he actually wanted to go or what to do … maybe he could ask Becker if he wanted to come with him.

He looked up a few different places in Scotland, since it had been a while since he had last visited … the Shetland Islands didn’t seem that bad of a place to visit, maybe he could look into visiting there?

After a while Rey just went into the snacks locker, got a bag of popcorn, and pulled up a crate to watch. You never know, maybe she could learn something.
