I am Michel, your very cranky and very French concierge who hates people because they are all stupid!

Please feel free to check in below, and welcome to Fandom Town's finest establishment!

Tessie, The Overworked NPC Bellhop™, will be happy to assist with your bags.

((Mun is on PST and will be up ASAP to answer back in about 8 hours, but feel free to start a thread now. Or to interact with fellow guests in the halls or lobby on your own.

Though no reputable hotel would do such a thing, of course, for the fun of any interaction people may want to have in the halls, for the record our guests are currently:

  • Darla---Basement
  • Jacob Gavin, Sr.---Room 111
  • Number 2---113
  • Jake & Helen Morgendorffer---Rooms 114 and 116

This is, of course, OOC info... unless you run into someone coming out of a room or manage to finagle it from Michel.

We are fully booked, but if you say you have a reservation, you have one. (Unless, like [livejournal.com profile] fates_jaye, you have OOC reason to want to be turned away. Michel can be as bitchy as you please, just let me know. *g* ))

Shane couldn't imagine how crazy things must have been getting up at the school, what with Parents Weekend going on and all. That place - that whole world, in fact - still seemed very, very far away to her, even though the island was barely a mile across.

The high school and the classes that went on there, the dorms that housed all of the students she had yet to meet as well as the few she had made friends with. She'd instructed Chloe to go back to the dorms for the evening and she and Kate (who had gotten off work early, for a change) had enjoyed a quiet evening in.

Had it been a warmer evening, she would have simply camped out on the bench swing at Amber House, but it was a touch too chilly outside for her tastes... so, once Kate had drifted off to sleep, she slipped out of bed and headed over to the Perk instead. Sitting by the window, as always, she sips at a cup of coffee, eyes drawn as they always are to the distant, lighted fortress that is Fandom High.

Sunday Morning

She is nothing if not a creature of habit. Sunday morning, despite the late night talking to Shane, she rises and gets ready for Mass. After the cancellation last week, she is unconcerned if it happens today or not. Mr. Phale had reassured her enough.

She makes her way to the church through the cold, crisp morning. The restaurants seem busy with the breakfast crowd.

Mass is, as always, an experience.

Afterwards, on her return, her thoughts turn to last night. The Doctor...Nine, had been talking to Shane. She hadn't interrupted because she knew Shane could handle herself.

Returning home, she looked at the sign she had taped to Nine's TARDIS. She looked at her own. And then she walked to his door...and knocked.

Michael stifled a yawn as he finally opened the shop. Revelations were not his strong point, but last night's talk with Ben had him looking hard at himself and the two of them. Fortunately, this time he was certain things were looking up. And they would have fun at the Halloween ball tonight.

He made sure the "10% off" sign was prominent in the window, along with flyers for the ball.

After leaving the shop open, Zhaan strolled through the town. Her destination was the park, growing things that could have been kin (but most likely weren't, as this was Earth, not some lost colony in the Uncharted Territories). A slight moment of sadness washed over her, and she wondered if Delvia was still this peaceful and bustling, or if the modernizations of the Peacekeepers had turned her beloved halls into utilitarian nightmares.

Shaking the thought away, she smiled as she reached the edge of the park's land and stepped carefully onto the path. "Hello."

The grass waved in the breeze, and the trees creaked slightly.

Not sentient. Still friendly. She set off, heading for the glint of water.

There is a scuffle in the vestry. Father Jack sprints out of the door and toward the sacristry, with a bishop in hot pursuit. Bare yards from the rail, the bishop tackles the priest and brings him to the floor. He climbs over the priest, planting a boot in the old man's head on the way, and hurries to the front of the church.

Right, now we've got him out of the way, we can have a proper Mass.

He proceeds to conduct mass in a way which, while technically excellent, makes it very clear that this particular bishop harbours a great deal of anger. Father Jack sits in the second row, scowling throughout.

The Bishop takes, as his text, Exodus 20:12.

Originally Amanda had decided to keep the museum closed on Sundays, but today it is open for Parent's Weekend. She's considering having it open on Sundays permanently. She pokes her head out of the door, she hopes that Duncan or Methos will stop by.

Miho steps off the bus, picks up her suitcase, and heads down the street toward the Bada Bing. It had been a long weekend, between the mob and the cops and Dwight being an idiot who didn't know when to duck. And then Dwight and Gail had started making out, and it made her almost glad to be out of there again. She hoped, vaguely, that Becky hadn't had as bad a weekend.

[OOC: I know there's a park post already, but timewise this has to be in the morning. And how often do you to make get a subject like "In the Duck Pond?" And it's an epic battle. It's a little long.]

"SPOOOOOOON!" This cry could be heard by anyone in the park this morning. It came from the duck pond. The Tick was standing about five feet into the pond, holding a rather large net. "Surrender, fowl villains! You face The Tick!"

The Epic Battle )

The Tick walked off, soaking wet and carrying a net full of ducks to the police station, muttering, "The animals here are so weird."

Please remember to keep OOC commentary (with links so we can see what you're talking about) to the right post. Otherwise, the ghosts will have a terrible time tracking people through the extra commentary.

Happy Halloween, everyone. Come in and explore.

Please note - not all of the ghosts are active this early in the day. Do not become impatient if haunting is not instantaneous.

Aziraphale is puttering about the shop, readying it for opening. He's thinking about his conversations with CJ and the Doctor from the previous day -- interesting that they had both chosen to come to him with the same questions on the same day.

He steps into the little kitchen and begins preparations for tea.

[It is a bloody gorgeous day, and even despite his slight feeling of dread, the Tenth, dammit Doctor felt the need to get up and out this morning. So he is sitting in front of the Perk, sipping his customary double macchiato, and writing in his journal.]

((Cut for image: 51K.)) )

[Occasionally he looks up and admires the changing leaves.]

((Play is open, as in you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, just play in the Perk.
The Doctor's hoping that...other!him will pass by at some point. Anything of mine will be slowplayed after 3 PM EST. And if you get close enough without him noticing, yes, you could probably read the above journal entry.))

Rory and Logan walk up to 'Le Bistro Aléatoire' (Typical Grandma, Rory snorts inwardly) hand-in-hand and looking slightly flushed.

"Hi, hi," Rory says, grinning at the people already assembled there. "Um. Sorry if we're late. Morning, everyone."

Two young men can be seen walking through Fandomtown, arguing as they go. Both are reasonably tall, although one is a bit more stocky than the other.

They're looking for a house. And somewhere from which to run a business.

They're also arguing rather loudly.

"No! I said that place was too small! Really, can you see us running a business from that pokey apartment? We need a house. A big one."

Chloe sits in the Perkolator, tapping her feet idly as she nurses her second mocha and waits for Lex. She's still surprised that she managed to catch him on the phone, and she has to admit, she's looking forward to seeing him after the past few months away from Smallville.

Loz bitched about the bow tie Yazoo tied around his neck while Kadaj made sure the Pub was secured for the evening. He hung the sign up in the window, locked the door and joined his brothers to head to The Halloween Ball.

The Pub is closed tonight

It will reopen at 5 pm on October 31, 2005

On the spur of the moment, Deb had decided not to open. With the Ball, no one would want to stop by. According to Michael, all the kids and most of the town will be there.

"I should have told little Wednesday I could judge after all," she says, struggling into her costume.

She scrawls across chalkboard:

CLOSED FOR HALLOWEEN BALL
SEE YOU FOR HALLOWEEN.

Tomorrow: Show up in costume and get a free dessert!
[identity profile] vitalyorlov.livejournal.com
Ever since yesterday, Vitaly had been in a bad mood; he really couldn't remember why but he went about his business. Flicking on the neon sign that indicates their open, he set up the same signs as always: 20% OFF ON MEALS FOR PARENTS WEEKEND scribbed in Vitaly's sloppy handwriting. There's also the standard ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS -- APPLY INSIDE!.

Menus were set up in nice little stacks on each table, ready to be ordered from.

[[OOC: Have fun, NPC waitors/the cook/etc... ]]
[identity profile] ludwigsayswhat.livejournal.com
Ludwig adjusts the cravat of his costume, feeling just a bit self-concious. The salesgirl at the NPC costume shop had yammered on for some time on oh how perfect this outfit would be for him- he really wasn't sure what she had been going on about, as she had pretty much given up on writing down anything and had merely talked louder at him. He had seen the other people in the shop wincing at the noise.

Shaking his head and grumbling something incoherent, he reaches for the top hat and gives himself one last look in the mirror. Confusing as it had been, they really had done a good job making him up, even going so far as to add a wig and fake facial hair. Generally, he wouldn't have gone so far for a masquerage, but it had been a good weekend and he was feeling particularly indulgent.

With a final quick adjustment to the overcoat, he grabs his walking stick and heads out the door into the cool October evening.

What a terrible night to have a curse.
