Aaron trudged through the nasty weather to the shop. Opening the door, he moved quickly inside and began flicking the lights on. He stopped after a moment, cocking his head to the side with a frown. Silence from upstairs. The shop felt abnormally empty. Still frowning, he made his way to the counter, and there he found a note. His expression cleared. Red was on vacation with his pups, he and Duce were to open the shop at their discretion.

Aaron looked at the calendar for the week and began calling clients. Most of them had already been reassigned, but a few had 'LM/NCB' next to them. Red had left messages but noone called back.

Wolfram and Hart, Monday

"Stupid snow." Cursing, Lilah stalked into the office. She stuffed her gloves into her pockets and hung the coat behind the door.

After a quick glare at the radio, she sat down at her desk and reflected on her past week in Los Angeles. To say the Senior Partners hadn't been happy when they'd heard about Angel's resouling had been an understatement. Surprisingly, they had decided that Wolfram and Hart would not take an active part in trying to de-soul him. Something about "other interested parties." Whatever.

They had also given her a new project--one they'd described as being guaranteed to create havoc and chaos, with very little risk to her personally. Sounded like a plan she could get behind.

As soon as Spike's pub opened, she'd go see a woman about a gun and get the ball rolling.

Satisfied that both her ribs and the wound had healed enough, Tex was finally back in armour again. When she made it down to the shop and flipped the sign on the door, she noticed that not only was the bratty duck with teeth sitting on the other side of the street. He had brought a friend.

This was starting to get ridiculous. She wondered if Red would mind a duck genocide.

It's snowing in Fandom, and it's a good bet this makes for at least a few pretty happy people around town.

One of those happy people is an angel with a book shop, who can currently be seen walking along the edge of the park with one half of everyone's favorite pair of school doctors.

Open on time, in time, the brothers set the bar up for business. Loz stood at the door and watched the snow fall. "Think this will cut into business?" he asked, turning to walk back into the pub.

Yazoo wrinkled his nose and leapt over the bar to close the door Loz left standing open. "Probably. It's cold," he said, shivering. "People won't come out if the weather's bad."

"Is it bad?" Kadaj tilted his head and rested it on his palm, braced against the bar. "That it's cold?"

Loz shrugged. "Probably. We'll close early if it gets worse."

Plugging the jukebox in, Yazoo checked to make sure nothing offensive played and he went to turn on the sign.

Caritas--OPEN (Monday)

Jarod stood behind the bar, polishing glasses. He hoped that Parker didn't come in tonight--the background about Michael Samuelle that he'd found was inconclusive so far, but it didn't lead anywhere good to his mind. After some thought, he decided that he wasn't going to mention it to her, unless she brought it up with him.

It would be easier and cleaner to just take care of the problem himself. All he needed was the information.

Why is Justin wandering at this time of night? He doesn't know right now but inside he's hoping to run into Geoff or CJ or someone that would like to communicate with him. The gardener looks weighted, he needs a good listener and a nice stiff drink.

Outside the Kwik Stop

Jay and Silent Bob are huddled against the Kwik Stop. They're wrapped up more than usual, and Bob is smoking with gloves on. Jay is doing something that looks like he could be hopping to keep warm but only Ten does that and zomg hypnotic... but Jay is way too cool for that (or so he'd like you to think.) Bob pulls a flask from one huge pocket and takes a long swig and passes it to Jay.

They're open for business, if anyone wants a little somethin' somethin'. And if you're cute, they'll probably share the booze.
