It's not that she doesn't like patrolling. It's just that 99.99% of the time there's nothing to slay. This leads to minor frustration and built up tension which in turn leads to massive quantities of junk food being eaten.

And yet here Mel is again. Patrolling. Getting frustrated and feeling tense.

"You know. Just one vampire. One. That's all I want."

She's also talking with herself.

Not a good sign.

[For those who know who they are. Up early for SP and Timezone Consideration]

"Good morning gentlemen. I bring to you ambrosia of the gods," Dale declared as he entered the trooper station. "Coffee from the Perk and donuts from God of Biscuits.

Roy watched amused as the four troopers currently present at the station immediately crowded around Dale to accept the offer to breakfast. "Morning, Mr. Cooper," Roy spoke. "It would seem that people like bringing food to that station. I hope it's not an attempt at bribery."

In which Dale and Roy converse about Mercs, Spies, Coffee and Donuts )

Millie cheerfully got things ready for customers and opened the store, then settled down behind the counter to do some more exploring on the internet.

Tori had found she couldn't sleep. There were too many thoughts running around in her head for her to get a decent night's sleep.

So, Tori was now at the beach, sitting in the sand, watching and listening to the surf. It was a place that helped her make sense of things. Which was what she was currently trying to do.

[OOC: Open to one and all! SP at some point due to packing and trip home.]

Kawalsky was busy strapping his bag to his new swoop bike. Room 223 was now empty. Goodbyes were all said. He'd walked out of the dorms and off school grounds for what might have been the last time.

Pulling the strap, he looked up past the town to the highest point of the observatory dome at the top of the dorms. It was hard to see in the dark, but a Stickbug flag flew high above the whole island. He grinned. It was his parting gift to the island. They'd see it tomorrow if they looked up.

The bag strap was fastened in place and Kawalsky pulled on his jacket. He glanced over at his traveling partner. "You ready to go?"

[OOC: For [livejournal.com profile] carter_i_am. This is Sam and Kawalsky's last post in Fandom. We love you long time!]

Parker tapped her fingers on the check-in desk while she waited for Isabel, possibly Angela, and any of the others she hand-wavily invited to the spa today.

"Sven's free today, right?"

[open to any of Isabel & Parker's friends. Very limited OCD now up.]

Magic Box, Thursday

Tannim had nearly forgotten that he was starting work on Thursday, so he arrived much later than he'd intended. Nice way to start a new job, he thought guiltily.

Once he had the store open, he chose one of the older, leather-bound books (handling it carefully) to read while he sat behind the register. He was interested in learning about other types of magic. Were they really intrinsically different? Or were spell components and mystic chanting just another way to channel energy?

The Magic Box was open.

[ooc: Completely forgot. So sorry!]

Neil had spent much of his afternoon lazing in the sun reading the comics that Peter had lent him. It had taken a little bit but he was definitely getting into the story of the Ninth Wonders and had tucked a couple into his bag to read tonight in between serving customers.

Since it was a nice day, he stood open the doors to let in some fresh air and put some big band swing on the CD player before retreating behind the bar.

After a day that she had started out nervous about teaching her first workshop had ended in surprise to see her big sister Prue as her student, Phoebe was a little distracted as she got to work that night.

She got the zombies taped up and then took up a place behind the bar.

Maybe she could get Tino to play quarters with her again.

{{OOC: AFK for a few to run some errands. So SP or Mod Tino if in a hurry}}

Buffy and Ronan entered the Perk. Buffy walked in first to show off the place. "Isn't it cozy? And are you sure you don't want a white mocha with strawberry or something? I mean, are you sure about the tea?"

Buffy would drink tea if it was offered, but she wasn't entirely on board with the concept of buying it at a coffee shop.

ooc: Buffy's here for Ronan, but open like a Perk is!

Luke's Diner, Thursday

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com
Jude drummed his fingers absently on the counter as he leaned, pondering. It was very serious business, pondering. Especially when one had such grave matters as Jude did to ponder. Like what he was going to snatch for John. Although a drive-by bucket of water on the vice principal would be equally satisfying. But then there's the problem of logistics and timing, because a bucket of water was heavy and awkward, so it would be hard to get up to speed . . . he would have to consult with a colleague. Namely, Codename Malibu Stacy. Hers was so much cooler than his. Then again, Codename Viper Ron the rent-a-cop wasn't too creative.

And speaking of Rikku . . . well, that was the other thing he was pondering. Well, not Rikku. But girlfriend-related things. Ponder, ponder, ponder.

In honour of his detention on Saturday – gotta get someone to cover for him. The chick'll spot him, right? – today's specials were themed.

TODAY'S SPECIALS
"In the Jailhouse Now" Mystery Meatloaf
(served with choice of fries, vegetables, or 'secret mush')
"Back on the Chain Gang" Bangers and Mash
(sausage links and mashed potatoes)
"Bad Boys" Pigs in a Blanket
"I Fought the Law (And the Law Won)" Kebabs
(chicken and vegetables on stabby sticks)

And, upon careful reflection, Jude added to the bottom:

FREE MILKSHAKES FOR ALL NEW STUDENTS
and teachers, I guess

Because who doesn't love a good milkshake? Jude's were especially good and did, in fact, bring most of the boys to the yard.

[[Sorry this is a bit late. Stupid work and their stupid hate of LJ. OCD coming up.]]
