So, this was what employment was. Blackheart had shown up for his first shift at Pixie Dust with no idea what to expect, except that there was the possibility of being inconvenienced by the arrival of people who actually wanted to buy things. Apparently, such people were called "customers" and were to be presumed to be unworthy of his assistance unless proven otherwise.

When the pixie had told him that much, she had told him all he really needed to know, hadn't she?

Yitzhak was behind the counter at the diner, pseudo-laptop brick up and running, and typing away.

It might have looked like he was working on a story (ha), or that musical of his (maybe a little bit), but in reality he was playing on a message board, still making fun of Britney Spears from the MTV VMAs.

Luke's is open, and what? You expected maturity and civility here?

Arms Hotel Lobby, Tuesday

Today was the day.

Three students slid into the Arms Hotel early with all the smoothness of a professional black ops team. Waiting quietly just outside one of the rooms, they watched as Gunther paced through the hallway.

When he got near the door, they struck: German chef went in the door, a lock went on the door, and a Hoshi went in front of the lock.

The remaining students moved quickly and quietly into place, as if they had been doing this all their lives. River put up the specials board before taking her post inside the kitchen.

In the end, it was Jeff who perched on the desk. He may have been wearing a funny hat, a red jacket, and his best Revolutionary Leader expression. The revolution had not been televised. It had gone off without a hitch.

Naminé was rather enjoying her fall term at Fandom. She had art class again, and that inspired her to re-use one of her older specials.

Xander was doing something productive behind the counter. Really. He was only exchanging silly e-mails on breaks from the very productive job of re-filing the blank resident applications.

...Or possibly he was watching his new Spooky Things season 2 dvds, yes.

Still, the office was open, the Guy With Tools signs were out on the doors, and he looked productive. Maybe.

Turtle & Canary; Tuesday [ 09/11 ]

Turtle was slumped at the counter, drumming her fingers idly on it. She may have even been pouting, but she might potentially kick you for saying that. Being a responsible businesswoman and potential mob boss was difficult; you didn't really get to do much of the fun stuff, did you? Couldn't even say anything about it, or else you'd blow your cover. But she consoled herself by keeping in mind that later, if she does pursue that path, there's guaranteed to be a lot more money in it.

Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

Dick opened Caritas early only because he had actually spent most of the day there drinking. Don't worry GOB, he stuck a hundred dollar bill in the cash register (yay for being rich and depressed!). Now he was sitting at the bar with a tequila bottle. Tino was patting his back in an awkward sort of way. Being sympathetic got him out of doing actual work.

Believe it or not, Caritas was open.

Chad was in a much better mood today, mostly because of yesterday's day at work, which meant that he wasn't getting any work done at all. He was just mostly playing with the kitties, but could he really be blamed for the fact that they were so damn cute? Really?
