Cher actually had a job. Now, normally this would be cause for concern, but the way she looked at it, it was another way to steer people away from bad fashion choices and possibly do some good for the common man, woman and teen, and she got an employee discount which meant more clothes for herself.

There was no bad here.

She opened the store on time, flipping through an issue of Cosmo at the counter while waiting for people.

After checking on Gunther to determine that he was still locked up, Hoshi wandered into the hotel's kitchen. She liked cooking, and since Gunther was occupied, she decided that she would make today's specials.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

[Open! I'm around until 1 PM, then SP after that.]

Johnny was at work but he probably couldn't be found. He was somewhere in the back room totally not hiding at all from his girlfriend who brought him coffee every work day. Not at all.

Stupid radio.

Photo Hut was open.

Oh, dear. A.J. was doing it again, talking to himself. Or perhaps he was talking to the napkin holders, but either way, there wasn't really anyone there to hear him or respond back. Things like, "What are you going to say, A.J. 'Hey, Annette, sorry I totally messed up your relationship, but I'm having second thoughts.'" And things like, "'Seriously, Troy, have you seen Annette? Can you really blame me?'" and "'Oh, God, no, Dick, I need that body part!'"

He didn't really know Dick, after all. And with all the ninjas and wizards and aliens running around this place, it was entirely possible that he'd have to worry about more than just a punch to the face.

"Guhhh..." A.J. spent a lot of time interrupting himself with a headdesk on the countertop.

Yeah, there were special, but A.J. forgot what they were. If anyone asked, it would probably just be whatever.

Luke's is babbling open.

Beauty had a job. The very first one in her entire life, in fact. She wasn't sure her father would be pleased with the idea, but she needed pocket money, and this was a far better arrangement than pulling stumps with Greatheart.

After a brief tour around the place to make sure everything seemed to be working (including a good bit of boggling over Gladys), Beauty settled in behind the counter with her schoolbooks, once in a while absently petting Not-Tiddles when the cat wound around her feet.

[ooc: Beauty's got a 2nd period class, otherwise she's available to assist in all your postal service needs.]

Gabriel was bored. Yesterday had been entertaining, and after that he had overdosed on donuts. The window was still broken, though, but despite this Gabriel was soundly asleep on one of the pews.

[The church is open]

Last Wednesday Andrew had brought his didgeridoo to practice. This Wednesday, it was the pan flute.

He was actually quite good.

The Magic Box is open for all your dark and dastardly (or not) needs!

D'Argo was experimenting. There were several shots lined up along the bar, and every so often, he'd experimentally taste one, usually deeming it "good", "bad", "why are there two of you?", "needs work", "dren", and "food cubes".

That last one would be the lowest rating any alcohol could get.

[SP while I finish out my afternoon of work, then around!

George Michael Bluth had pressed his yellow button up shirt for work, same as he did every morning, but today he ironed his apron as well. He was feeling generous with the neat and tidy. After two minutes of staring at himself in his mirror, he put on some cologne. Hey, he might just meet the woman of his dreams today.

Just before dusk, the temporary movie screen is set up, with a big grassy area in front to provide seating space. A few people have arrived early to share picnic suppers, and to visit with their friends.

[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threads will be are up for your movie-going use. Anyone who needs the park for other purposes will find that the outdoor cinema takes up only a portion of the park, with plenty of space available for non-movie needs.]

There was a noticeable twitch of Kabuto's eyebrow when he saw the drink umbrellas artfully arranged around the bar. Frowning, he set to work taking them all down and cleaning the place properly. There were times when the idea of borrowing one of Professor Tomoe's "Death Rays" seemed like a pretty good idea.

When the students entered the Danger Shop, they saw first two doors with their names and role on:

Superheroes:
James P. Sullivan
River Tam
Cassandra Cain

Supervillains:
Will Vandom
Cedric Diggory
Teddy Altman

Once they entered through the door, they would find moddable outfits suitable for their new profession. Once they had finished changing, they would enter into a scene and be given a mission.

ooc: wait for ocd! OCD is up!
[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com
Peter knew that he had less than a year now. Then he would be drafted into SHIELD whether he wanted to be or not.

Well, he didn't want to go in out of shape. Sure, invasions kept you from getting rusty, and sure, there were more than enough gyms to use on the island, but for a real superhero-type workout something else was needed. An abandoned warehouse would have been ideal, of course, but it seemed like the Fandom Department of Community Development didn't have giant, empty buildings on their wishlist. Ye Old Junke Yard would have to suffice.

Tonight Peter was working on being stealthy by not getting caught sneaking into the junk yard under the cover of darkness. And then he was going to bench press engine blocks. Because he was in a junk yard. And he could.

[OOC: Junkyard is open if there's anyone likely to be walking through a junk yard in the dark. If I can do this more regularly, I will find some way to turn this into a training montage.]
