Sipping a large coffee, Annette sat behind the counter, lost in her own thoughts. The post office was open and ready for any customers; Annette just wished she was in a better mood to receive them.

Alex wore her Giants jersey proudly as she set to making sure everything was properly displayed and in order.

Yes, she might gloat a bit. She loves her team, okay?

Alex had once again, brought her laptop to the store. This time, though, she wasn't looking up shoes. She was writing an e-mail to her family, who, she was sure were psyched that their hometown team had won.

The Magic Box was open.

Jamie has set up the soup aisle as his own miniature bowling alley. He's got Progresso soup set up as the pins and he's using a Campbell's cream of chicken as a bowling ball.

So far he's got a 146 average.

Apu appears to be disgusted with the blatant soup abuse.

It was a gray day, and, to brighten it up (and because he kept forgetting to do it for class) Romeo was wearing one of his Hawaiian shirts over a long-sleeved tee and jeans as he opened Pixie Dust.

He figured he'd shed the shirt if it seemed like it might cost him a sale.

Pixie Dust was open.

Today Renee brought in a few muffins from J, GoB. They looked good and she refused to endorse the stereotype of cops and donuts.

Unless the donuts were really good.

She ignored the disappointed looks from the troopers over bringing in muffins.

Chad decided to follow up his boring weekend of not doing much besides reading music (and fashion *cough*) magazines with a Monday of not doing much besides reading music (and fashion) magazines. With the occasional pause for a game of Kitties Try to Tackle the Chad. Chad almost always won that one, but that wasn't why it was his favourite game.

The mercs were gone. Now came Mary's favorite part: taking inventory of the hotel to make sure that no pillows, towels, robes and the like had gone home with the guests.

Gunther was nowhere to be seen, but if you listened closely, you could hear the sound of someone singing a German folk song, occasionally interrupted by a hiccup, from behind the kitchen door.

Sean was back in the office, waging war with his paperwork. So far the paperwork was winning.

Mary was back so George Michael came to work well relaxed and... well, he was just in a great mood.

Even Eddie and his stupid fly-by's weren't going to bother him today. Unless Eddie bombed away. George Michael was hoping that wouldn't happen. He was too happy to have to deal with bird crap on the stand.

The signs were up:

NOW HIRING!
GREAT BENEFITS!

Seregil came in and set up a plate of cookies and a pitcher of mlik for any customers and then settled in with today's chosen books -- novels he'd found shelved under "spy thriller." He thought it would be interesting to see how this culture viewed the profession.

The Book Haven was open.

Cable was up early-- earlier than normal, even-- and it was still dark when he put the Open sign on the door of the store. It was quiet. Black, and silent.

He slipped into the locked-off back room for a little while to deal with the contents of Weasel's box before setting up his laptop and studying his map.

Tether laid in a corner, chewing on something. Cable was fairly sure it wasn't a weapon, at least.

Gabriel awoke by the fact that there was suddely a claw stuck in his nose. His eyes opened and he stared up at a purring Cat. She moved her paw at gazed down at him expectantly. The former archangel replied by flinging her aside and sitting up, letting out a hiss in her direction, which made her disappear under one of the pews. If she wanted food, sticking a claw up his nose was not the way to express it.

He yawned and stretched and reached for the donut box. It was empty.

Tino didn't like this. Jolee was running a droid as a waiter again. He was pretty sure that the old man was going to try to replace him with a robot. That meant that he had to consolidate his power base in the club and make sure that he was indispensable. That's why he had put a combination lock on the freezer where the brains for the zombies were kept.

Jolee laughed at this as the droid wheeled over and unlocked it in about three seconds.

Tino poured himself a drink. It was going to be a long night.
