Eve was sitting at the desk, reading a pamphlet on the exhibit. New exhibit meant something new that she had to familiarize herself with.

Not that she minded, as the exhibit was exceedingly cool. She didn't have a favorite yet, though.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Ella arrived early for her first shift, dressed in a plain blouse and skirt and with her hair neatly bound back. For some time, she walked around the kitchen, admiring some things and frowning at the lack of certain ingredients. Mandy would envy some of this equipment; she'd have to write her a letter about it.

After exploring (and chopping half a bag of onions at a cook's command), Ella took her place behind the counter, straightened the pie case just so, and settled in for her first day at work.

Today's Specials
Mushroom omelet
Chicken salad sandwich
Banana cream pie

Joanna had spent the past few days cruising around the Greek Isles in the Immaculata. She had a house on one of the islands, but, as evidenced by the depleted wine stores and the cheap local girls she had to have chased out of the mansion, Grant had recently been there, so Joanna only stayed long enough to have the house aired out, fire half the staff, and arrange for the locks to be changed.

Bored, she decided to open Wonders. A small sign was taped up on the outside of the ticket booth, clearly written using fingernail polish. It read: Now Hiring Attractive and Intelligent People.

She had high hopes.

[ooc: OCD coming up.]

Chad was thinking that he didn't mind working through an event like that luau things so much because it wasn't like Teddy was here to go to it with him. But, usually, an event like that meant Teddy would skip it, too, to spend time with Chad at the store, and he wasn't around to do that, either. So Chad wasn't entirely sure how he felt about it. He made sure the shipment of new releases had gotten put out right and straightened the place up a bit, made sure a drum kit had been put together at the back of the store for later, and then...repeated all that, because there wasn't much else to do.

Today's mix: Couldn't Be More Random If I Tried

Groovy Tunes was open!

Liir made his way down to town a little early, his feet bringing him there instead of the broom for the day. He still wore black, as he had for the last couple of weeks, but today it was just a shirt with a pair of blue jeans. Beyond that, there was a spring to his step and something to the green green eyes that had been missing... though to be fair, some of the spring was more gawkishness caused by sore legs.

Dusting went first, then straightening, then setting out the tea, and finally he went to the back and picked up a book from the back and settled himself behind the counter.

The Book Haven was open.

Finding new ways to 'get out'-- get some fresh air, leave the confines of the store-- wasn't proving to be as difficult as he'd thought.

After Tether had made his round, Cable settled down by the pond, legs crossed, eyes closed and stretching. It wasn't really yoga, but it was calming, and with the baby snug in her blanket less than a foot away, he could, at least, relax.

A little.

Maybe.

At least the exercise was helping him focus.

[ open like a park, la ]

Tony was not in the shop proper today. no, he was in the workroom, halfway through installing Jarvis.

There were a few... interesting holes in the walls where the program's systems had been attempted to be integrated into the entire building.

What? He wasn't a construction genius!

And one of the robots was out in the shop to watch over things. And in time out after it attempted to break things while 'helping'.

[[For an eyepatchy repairman!]]

With a luau to look forward to tonight (her first ever!) Jen wasn't sampling too much of the food today. She did, however, put quite a bit of thought into the special, and after a few attempts managed to get it just right. As it turned out, it was a good thing she'd worn her Time Force uniform today; tomato sauce really didn't stick to that shiny white material.

Not much did, except for carbon scoring for some reason.

Today's Special
Forever Red
Double tomato sauce, pepperoni, roma tomatoes, red onions, fresh mozzarella, aged mozzarella

When she wasn't looking, the kitchen staff threw out the pizza she'd made and did it again. They'd learned better than to let her cook.

[OOC: Living on the wild side, ZOMG. No OCD today! Also, I'd like to thank [livejournal.com profile] nottheclone for the special. :D]

Now Showing:

Grumble In Queens

No Fear. No Stuntman. No Equal

Temari looked at the movie, wondering what the hell it was about. Better not be some sappy drama or she'd have to hit her date.

And take the candy back.

[[For the Multiple Man, but open for movie goers]]

There had been a shipment of fish to the store today. BIG fish. Sora had no idea what they were cept that it was pink colored.

What kinda fish was pink? Not one he'd ever seen. Oh well.

One box went over to the other meats, the other box went to the Squishy bot.

Todays' Squishy Flavors: Grape Judas, Red, Copper River Salmon

George Michael was closing the stand early today. Just cause. Just cause there were more important things to do.

But he was here for now (early afternoon) and that's what mattered.

He was still hiring too. The sign was still there. Attached to the menu board.

NOW HIRING. GREAT BENEFITS. SEE MR. MANAGER!

[No ocd!]

There was a Luau going on somewhere on the island. It seemed like it might be a cool thing to hang out at, but Murdock had already made other plans. After handwavily dropping Millie a note on where to meet him, Murdock waited next to a chopper that he’d totally stolen picked up from somewhere.

Waiting was a loose term though, as he paced nervously around the clearing. There wasn’t any real reason for him to be nervous. It was just a little friendly ride for a nice gal who’d never been in the sky before.

Right?

So why was he still pacing?

(for the date. up early for a bit of sp.)

Rikku bounced into work, totally on time and all of that good stuff shhh she was. Hooray, luau tonight! Hooray, classes were sweet. Hooray, work, with meditation and guns!

Wellspring Arms was open, and Rikku was chipper.

Jolee was entranced. The zombies seemed to be on a self improvement kick. They were wearing toupees, clean clothes, and were making a point to stand up straight. Meanwhile they kept playing Joe Esposito's "You're the Best" over and over again. The lead singer was even enunciating.

"Rourrrr eeeeeh eeeeeesss aaaaaaaroooooouuu," the chorus began.

Jolee had lived through four Sith Lords, two decades at the bottom of the most lethal forest in the galaxy, and who knows how many just plain insane situations, and he had never - NEVER - seen anything quite like this.

[OOC: A little late due to working late, but I'm around. Huzzah!]

He'd been here for a week, but Logan was finally doing the other thing he had come here to do. The i's were dotted and the t's were crossed - not on his end since his name didn't have either of those letters - and now Logan was running a gym.

He needed a personal training ground away from Avengers Apartment and wherever Summers was setting up in San Francisco. A gym in a small town in Virginia was good for that. A gym in a small town that used to be in Virginia but was now in Greece was even better. He just needed to get some Danger Room gear in here - he had to go out of town soon, so he'd look into that next week - and he'd be set.

For now he was just going to test out the punching bags by beating the stuffing out of them. Not literally. Probably.

[OOC: Hey, look at that. Atlas Gym has a PC owner now!

FYI, Atlas will continue to be completely moddable (aside from one change explained later). Put up a post whenever you want, use the equipment you want, and so on and so forth. There will only be two differences with the gym from here on out. First, there will be a post every weekend - usually on Saturdays, I think - where Logan will be around for managerial stuff. Take out a membership (why you'd want to do that, I don't know, but it's an option because why not?), arrange to have Logan train you, pick a fight with Logan and spar right away... Stuff like that. Or talk to him. Whatever.

Second, there will soon be a Danger Room area in the gym. If you want to get a work out with hologram ninjas or whatever, the option will be available to you. This will only be accessible with the permission of the manager, which you can get by visiting his post during the weekend or via his voicemail.

That's about it for the moment.

Post is open for any late-night visitors.]
