Toby liked rainy days. He didn't bother carrying an umbrella on his way to work, letting the rain be the catalyst for a day of super shiny hair and skin.

Granted, air drying from his shirtless walk to town made for a chilly start to the day, so Toby cranked the heat and fixed his damp hair before opening the store.

Despite its employee laying out on top of the counter with a drink in one hand, Pixie Dust was open for business.

Viki wasn’t sure what it was today, but she was feeling restless. Too restless, really, to sit behind a desk for hours on end. So she didn’t.

She wandered around the lobby, having appropriated some cleaner and cloths from one of the maids, and randomly cleaned things. It was just that sort of day.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

It was a blessedly skunk-free day, which fact didn't make Jen any less cautious about her trip to work today; in fact, she would have been rocking the visual scanners the whole way down if not for the fact that they'd decided to short out and go opaque on her again, and that encounter with the lamppost had been way too close for her liking, so it was good old-fashioned observation the rest of the way.

Observation that yielded not a single skunk.

Which didn't stop Jen from building a small fort of tomato sauce cans on the counter when she arrived.

Today's Special
Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger Pizza

[OOC: OCD-free, and oh god, bacon cheddar cheeseburger pizza is in fact awesome and now I really wanna go to Hungry Howie's. Heading out for a bit now, but should be around on and off all day after . . .]

Hurley's worry when he unlocked Groovy Tunes was only dwarfed by his confusion. It was his first day, so he was supposed to be supervised and taught stuff. By Chad.

And yet, no Chad in sight.

After a few minutes, Hurley found the light switches and etcetera, and the place at least looked open.

Even if the person behind the counter had no clue what he was doing. Lucky he had register experience from Mr. Cluck's over the summer.

[ooc: OCD coming, and Chad's not-there-yet-whereabouts came through prearrangement with the player. ETA: Open!]

Yes, it was Saturday.

Yes, it was Saturday morning. A time usually meant for sleeping. Unless you were Adam Park.

Ever since Jen had told him about the warehouse district that Fandom had recently acquired, Adam had been meaning to check it out. With Angel Grove's history with warehouses, the sooner he did that the better.

Which was why he was currently walking through the streets, making sure to retrace his steps and re-check every thing twice. Thinking about his experiences with empty warehouses, Adam knew you could never be too careful. It didn't matter than it might be raining, either. Adam wasn't about to let a little water deter him.

[OOC: Open! You know, if anyone else is down here.]

It was raining. Funny how she just spoke to Ned about this last night at the party. It was raining when she woke up and Penelope didn't hestitate in heading outdoors.

Hands up, she twirled around and around, grinning and laughing and playing in the rain. It most likely wasn't common, but she didn't think about that. It was just something that she's never done and should have been allowed to do when she was a little girl. Were she more comfortable with herself and who she was, she would take off her scarf and open her mouth so the drops could plop upon her tongue. But she wasn't, so she satisfied herself by playing in it just as she was.

[ooc: It's open, yesssss!]

Kevin wasn't exactly sure what he should be doing at work today, so he decided to pretend to be a carpenter. It took him a while to located the small toolbox that had everything one might need to hang art. Grabbing the hammer, some tiny nails, a level, and a small block of scrap wood, he went back to the desk to practice his skills. He also took his shirt off, because all good carpenters worked shirtless.

There was a poster:

This 'working' was starting to grow on Fiyero, admittedly. It was nice to feel as if the days weren't filled with nothing except minimal conversation and meals, really, and he'd taken to organizing the shelves to his liking and ensuring that the books stayed in that order, considering the amount of people who seemed to take novels or texts off the second shelf and for some unknown reason replace them on the third a few moments later.

He tapped his fingertip on the desk for a moment and then continued to write down The Oziad in full, scrawling handwriting. He thought it was something that Geoffrey would appreciate, at least.

That doesn't mean he's unapproachable, though. If there are questions he will certainly do his best to answer them in full.

{{OOC: And flying OCD-less. Like a drunken flying monkey.}}

The Cheese Grater was such a liar. When Kurogane had asked him if he played chess, he responded that he didn't play well.

Now he was getting his ass handed to him in a game that back home he'd ben thought of as the best. And best of all, anyone who walked into the Cafe could see it!

As Fai would say, Kuro-woof woof was not a happy puppy.

Roy was rather glad the drunken skunks were gone. He'd just wished they'd gone sooner as he was left with a bunch of complaints about the noise some of the skunks had made the previous day while drinking sailor skunk songs.

The weird part was where Roy didn't even blink about having to process these kind of complaints. At least, now that Dale was back, his inbox wasn't as highly stacked as it had been the week before.

Coming into work today, Turtle decided that it was going to be a nice, quiet day. No real working or number crunching or stocking, because her head hurt from the rum she knew she shouldn't have let the squirrels bargain her into having. There was a sign on the cash register asking that everyone, please, keep their inside voices, and she clung to a bottle of aspirin and a pot of coffee, even though the latter tasted gross. The former didn't, though. It was a bottle of those chewable kids' aspirins that tasted like fake cherry.

Today's Squishy flavors: Cherry, Grape Judas, Purple Flavor

Turtle & Canary is open!

It was Jaye's last night at Caritas, which meant when she walked in, she'd sort of half been expecting something like at least a sign saying Bye, Jaye! or something, but nope. Nothing like that.

When she asked Tino, he said he didn't know she was leaving.

When she said she'd said so on Wednesday's broadcast, he said he didn't listen on Wednesdays.

Jaye decided she was taking all of Tino's tips tonight.

[Like the post says, last night for Jaye at the bar. I may be a bit slow due to headache though omg.]

He didn't know why, but Murdock suddenly found himself in the mood for some ice cream. Specifically, a root beer float.

Of course the staff was a little put off when the 'expert root beer float maker' started to give them specifics on how to assmeble said treat. They just rolled their eyes and slapped one together anyway.

Curling up in a chair, he settled in with his float and occasionally gave 'tips' to the staff.

(very open! oooh root beer floats!)
