No more cereal falling from the sky? Thank god. Katchoo'd had enough of that crap.

. . . yesterday being St. Patrick's Day, of course, she had one hell of a hangover today. Which she was pretending she didn't. She slouched behind the counter with her sketchbook, a baseball cap pulled down low over her eyes, and got lost in some bizarre series of sketches about pots of gold at the ends of rainbows that ended up being something more sinister.

Cheerful girl, that one.

Well. There were occasional sketches of French toast with maple syrup too.

And Griffin Silver on the stereo, as always, but turned down low today.

Played my songs for you all night
You never heard them sung quite right
In the middle of a thousand dreams
I saw you . . .

[OOC: OCD-free, open, Griffin Silver lyrics actually by Terry Moore from vol. 3, issue 53, etc. He's writing a new post-series SiP one-off, whee!]

Johnny was behind the counter and today he was in a great mood. He was whistling as he formed tiny ducks with paper nakins only to torch them a second later. It was great amusement but entirely uneffectual as far as fire went. Whatever, he was using the entertainment to his benefit. If he could somehow make a huge, life-sized like duck... well, that'd be awesome.

Amber was tapping down the aisles of the store today, sweeping and straightening shelves. She decided today was going to be productive and that might be because she needed to keep her mind occupied. She was dreading the phone call to her ma she was going to have to make. But the sooner the better.

So yeah, massive productivity today.

Ino hummed as she wandered into work at her usual ridiculously early time and, after a quick stint of cleaning—just enough to keep it half decent—she cheerfully devoted herself to taking care of her plants for a few hours. Babbling cheerfully at them and everything.

And then wandered over to flop in Cable-san’s chair and scribble in one of her notebooks.

Claire started her workday with a great deal of gratitude that nothing was falling or throwing things from the sky today. She was still upset about UCLA, but it had moved from black clouds of despair to a general feeling that she was just right to be pessimistic about things anyhow.

In between customers, she planned to organize and put away the latest shipments of used books and magazines.

By 11 a.m., this had turned into sitting on the floor by the bookshelves flipping through Harlequin romances with shirtless men and heaving bosoms on the covers just to giggle at the purplest prose in the dirty bits.

Some of the images were going to stay with her for a while.

[OOC; Open store, no OCD.]

Sarah had an extra bounce in her step as she restocked the racks of comics this morning. She'd gotten a message that morning about an assignment, something about Fulcrum infiltrating a suburban neighborhood, and Chuck would only work with her on it. (He didn't want to pretend to be married to Casey or to the agent who had replaced her. Their loss, her gain.) She'd be back on a plane to go do what she did best as soon as she closed the shop on Thursday.

For now, Android's Dungeon had an unusually agreeable manager.

[OOC: Open shop, no OCD. And yep, it's canon catchup time.]

Murdock was in a cheery good mood today. He'd spent all day yesterday watching TV and munching on the free cereal.

It was a wonder he didn't have a sugar hangover, really.

Work seemed to be going well on the lighthouse. Definitely a noticable improvement over the condition it used to be in.

Bouncing along, Murdock skipped from one job to another, humming and whistling and sometimes even singing as he went.

...perhaps someone was still hopped up on sugar.

(oh so very open!)

Charlotte had always prided herself a little in being able to multitask; it almost made up for the fact that planning the next exhibit had been made of a good deal of epic fail lately. But, finally, she had everything all sorted out and now she could even kill two birds with one stone: going around town to put up the flyers while giving Elizabeth Taylor a nice walk. Perfect!

Cut for 'flyers' )

[[ lulz, lame flyer is lame. However, post is open! ]]

Rusty was finally venturing out of his apartment after hiding from the influx of small children that occurred over the weekend.

It was your typical day at the station. Coffee was brewed. Dougnuts were available. Ralph was doing whatever Ralph does to look busy.

And Dale was taking phone calls.

"No Ma'am. I'm very sure that no one from the clinic thought you needed more peas in your diet," Dale said patiently. "And while I'm sorry your backyard is covered with cereal and marshmallow bits, I'm afraid it's not the responsibility of the city to clean it up for you. ... No Ma'am, I don't recommend saving the cereal for your own breakfast. Yes, Ma'am. You have a good day, Ma'am."

Dale sighed as he hung up the phone only for it to ring two seconds later.

It was going to be one of those days.

With suggestions of a new meeting place to spice things up, Teddy had handwavily let everyone know they were going to be in town for this one.

Hopefully, no one was too terribly hungover from celebrating yesterday.

He even managed to get pizza and soda all set up for the group! Snaps for Teddy!

To say Alice had had an eventful week would be something of an understatement; harpies, childhood, and more personal matters, and yet here she was arriving at work once more. Time always moved forward, oblivious to the events and people it swept along in its tide. Unless, of course, one was in Looking-Glass Land.

Alice was inside the store today, and she would be quite happy to assist you in locating a music disc that was not covered in harpy guts. (Those had been thrown out.)

(Gonna be AFK most of the day, so no OCD today. Will get pings when I am back!)

Around noon, Jeff rolled out of a nearby cupboard, hit his head on the desk, and blinked.

Oh, wait. "I'd fallen asleep," he realised.

Nana eyed him. Jeff just shrugged, got up, and got to work.

Penelope was in a so-so mood this evening, and as such she was behind the bar keeping herself relatively busy by filling bowls with pretzels. The band was playing and Tino was drying glasses.

Caritas is open.

[[ OOC: Post is lame, sorry. You'll want to mod Tino tonight for speedy service. ]]

Ichigo wasn't complaining about things being back to normal today. It made his walk to town that much easier. He grunted in response to Jeremy's squeak and put the sign in the window before he inspected the store. Somehow he decided that the clay pottery display needed some rearranging and he set to it.

It was just mindless work and for some reason it irritated him. Or he'd already been irritated and he found himself thinking that another Fight Club meeting that weekend wouldn't be bad.
